It had been a fairly quiet week on the MorrisseysWorld front, until yesterday, when at 3.51am LA time, Part 3 of the parody story Lounging Around was posted on the MW blog. It is another hilarious piece of parody writing, which once again sees Our Mozzer mock those closest to him.

Regular readers will know that Parts 1 and 2 of Lounging Around had been exclusively posted on the "demi-semi-mesmerizing blogspot FollowingTheMozziah", but as the MW blog is now back up and running, Our Mozzer naturally chose to post Part 3 on his own groundbreaking blog..... although as FTM has currently had a total of 458,413 hits, as opposed to MW's 381,753 hits, Our Mozzer's talents would probably have reached a larger audience had he decided to stick to posting his parody work on the blog which brought him 58 comments to his last piece..... Part 3 of Lounging Around has currently amassed *coughs* 12 comments. *Demi-Semi unemployed bod from the Isle of Wight licks his upper lip and softly smiles*

The other MorrisseysWorld, i.e. '@MorrisseyWorld/MorrisseysWorld.Com' has still not posted anything new, apart from a tweeted picture saying 'Away with the fairies' and another tweet this morning that simply reads, "In the beginning...". Where oh where is this going, and more to the point WHEN is it going?

The real Morrissey has also been fairly quiet, although there has been a new True-To-You statement entitled This sorrowful Canada, in which Morrissey calls Canada a "beautiful country", and the people of Canada "good people", but he calmly points out that the Canadian federal Fisheries Minister, Gail Shea, is wrong to state that shooting baby seals is humane. Gail Shea has responded to Morrissey's statement in an article for Canada.Com , where she says, "Mr. Morrissey and his Hollywood buddies have been brainwashed by decades of propaganda from fringe animal rights groups and radical environmentalists."

Gail Shea obviously doesn't have the intelligence to see that Morrissey hasn't been brainwashed at all, but is merely continuing to offer a voice for those who don't have one, which he has done consistently all his adult life. All Morrissey has stated is that baby seals would choose not to be shot dead, and yet Gail Shea responds with all guns blazing.... well, she would, wouldn't she.

And finally, because it had been so quiet on the Moz front, I decided last week to send the person who I deludedly believe to be Morrissey an email, in which I told him how excited I am for the new album, and asked him how preparations were going for the tour. I also asked him to send some words... any words! I don't usually post my emails from Morrissey on this blog, especially without his permission, but I'm sure he won't mind me sharing this little snippet with the BRS, and if he does mind, I guess he'll just never send me one again, but I like to live life on the edge, so I'll take the risk. DELON & BARDOT - NO RELEVANCE TO THE CHART WHATSOEVER

The Twitterdilly Arms has been buzzing today, not just because Jonathan Simpson, the Mayor of Camden popped in for some tea, but because 'Clover Dean'(@MozzeriansATW) announced that she had just met Moz in the Cat & Fiddle, the infamous British theme pub in LA.

A month ago the Twitterdilly Arms was like the Moulin Rouge, full of show girls and shimmying, as Morrissey's 'Fifi pessoa' joined us whilst Morrissey was in France, but now, with Morrissey in LA, I will be picturing the Twit Arms to be like the Cat & Fiddle.

The debate continues as to what design should be used for the new Blue Rose Society t-shirt, so today I am going to throw some more options out to the members of the BRS. A number of the members seem to like the idea of having the photo of Jean Cocteau doing his drawing at the Notre Dame de France church in London, but aren't so sure on the wording to use.

Some members of the BRS have argued that the t-shirt shouldn't be asking the question "Who are the Blue Rose Society?", because we already know who we are, although if the shirt is just for Morrissey to wear, then that wouldn't matter as much. Personally, I think we have to have a t-shirt that everybody can wear, Morrissey included, so perhaps the idea of asking the question isn't such a good one.

Maybe we could use the picture of Cocteau and use it as him responding to Wilde's question of "WHO IS MORRISSEY?", with our t-shirt saying "MORRISSEY IS THE ROSE!" or rather, "MORRISSEY EST LA ROSE!".... although I'm not sure Morrissey would wear that... but he might, he might.

 If the objective is for us to design a BRS shirt that Morrissey will wear, then I would think that subtlety has to be the key. GWO has suggested that we just have a shirt with the name Morrissey written on it, with NO picture, and that the letters o, r, s and e are all in the colour BLUE, thus creating a blue rose within the name Morrissey without it being obvious. The other letters of his name could perhaps be in red and white, thus giving the effect of it representing America, or France, or the UK etc MORRISSEY.

If we are to stick with using a Cocteau photo; and after all, Cocteau has played a major part in our journey this winter, then perhaps it would be better to use a colour version of his painting of the Blue Rose, but the photo doesn't have Cocteau in it, so we would have to have a slogan as opposed to speech bubbles.



If we were to use the above photo, we could have the word 'Morrissey' above the photo, and "I'm Not a Man"(title of one of the new album songs) underneath, which could be interpreted as Mary not being a man, or the camp soldier not being a man, or indeed the wearer of the t-shirt making the statement that they aren't a man, which actually makes a great t-shirt for the humasexual. The t-shirt would also include an actual blue rose, and what is more, it's Cocteau's blue rose.

Right then, here are the options:

A) Black & White Cocteau photo with a speech bubble saying "MORRISSEY EST LA ROSE!"

B) A slightly more subtle version of the above, with the speech bubble saying "MAURICET EST LA ROSE!"


C) A black shirt with no picture and the name  MORRISSEYwritten in red, white and blue, with the word rose written in blue.

D) The coloured Cocteau painting with Morrissey written above and "I'm Not a Man" written below.


Yesterday I wrote about Clover Dean's first ever meeting with Moz, and although she posted a blurry picture of Moz, and was obviously very excited by the experience, I asked her to actually write how she felt, and she came back with this.... which is just BRILLIANT :

It was only last week that I posted a picture of MM on my blog, suggesting that she could be the new Fifi! Coincidence? Yes, but still interesting!

The debate rumbles on regarding the design for a new Blue Rose Society t-shirt, and it doesn't look as though any of the candidates can get ahead in the polls. We could end up with a hung t-shirt..... as opposed to a worn one!

My current preference is for the picture of Cocteau drawing the rose at the Notre Dame church in London, with a speech bubble saying "MORRISSEY? SACRÉ BLEU!"

The reason that I particularly like this idea, is because it features Cocteau (tick), and it features a blue rose (tick), although what makes this idea subtle, is that the rose in the photo is still in it's uncoloured state, which therefore doesn't make it obvious that it has anything to do with the Blue Rose Society. I also like that with this picture, it is a work in progress, symbolising that the Blue Rose, and the Blue Rose Society, is incomplete; it is a work in progress.

When Cocteau drew his picture at the Notre Dame church in London (in 1959, the year of Morrissey's birth), he would light a candle each morning, and would speak to Mother Mary, perhaps asking for guidance for his drawing. By using the caption "MORRISSEY? SACRÉ BLEU!", it is as though Cocteau has just been told by Mary that the rose is for Morrissey, and Cocteau is showing his utter dismay and surprise, "MORRISSEY?" he asks, "you mean all this hard work is for MORRISSEY?", and then Cocteau continues to display his astonishment by saying "SACRÉ BLEU!", which is not only a French term of astonishment, but it also translates as "sacred blue", which is perfect for us, just perfect. The fact that Cocteau's drawing is in a Catholic church adds to the perfection of this idea. It is ALL perfect, and although modesty would normally prevent me from stating this..... I am a genius, well, a genius in the rat world, at least!

Last week, Astraea was playing Nancy Sinatra songs in the Twitterdilly Arms, but Astraea is NOT Morrissey, it was a coincidence. EVERYTHING is a coincidence.

Fifi is out of rehab, her bag is packed, and she is on her way back to the Twitterdilly Arms, probably holding her head in despair at the ineptitude of the BRS in stringing together a few words of French, and place them on a t-shirt!

So there we have it, Morrissey likes all our ideas, and thinks it would be fun to use a French phrase. He also has told us to "keep it as simple as possible" and to "think about something that most people would not understand if they are not part of the BRS." This makes the idea of the shirt with Jean Cocteau exclaiming in surprise that he is drawing the Blue Rose for Morrissey perfect. It is subtle, and yet we, the BRS understand it's meaning and origin.

Jjazzy has prepared an image of the shirt, and although Jeanne Gabin has advised that "Sacrebleu" is one word, the word originates from Sacré Bleu, meaning sacred blue, so I don't think it matters which way we use it...... trust me, I too am French, well, as French born as our new friend Jeanne Gabin!



The idea of a t-shirt with just the name MORRISSEY written on it, with the four letters in blue, is also a simple, subtle and poplar idea, so if Vulgar Angie and Jjazzy dont like the Cocteau idea, then perhaps they could make that one. Jjazzy is also working on an idea using the Conan picture with the owl eyes.



It has been announced by a twitter user called Lee Thompson (@leethommo), that Morrissey is set to release three new singles in a three week period.... one a week, around the time of his birthday in May. Thompson has also added that the album is on it's way, probably through Virgin EMI in the UK, as they look after Capitol in these parts:

THREE NEW BIRTHDAY SINGLES

I have not heard of Lee Thompson before, but..... hold on, why has my type set changed, and how do I put it back to how it should be? Bloody computers. Never mind, where was I? Oh yes, Lee Thompson is apparently the Music Editor at 'Record of the Day' so it is his job to keep his ear to the ground. The idea of Morrissey releasing singles in this manner seems VERY feasible to me, and it is something I wrote about on Day 149 of FTM, back in February 2012. It makes perfect sense in this day and age for an artist to release more than one single prior to an album release, and I have no idea why more artists haven't done it before. Eminem did it very successfully last year, releasing four singles over an eight week period in the lead up to releasing The Marshall Mathers LP 2. 

A big difference between Morrissey and Eminem, is that Moz will want his singles to be released on vinyl (as will we), but is this likely to happen straight away, or will Moz release the vinyls at a later date, as he did with Satellite of Love? Personally I hope the vinyl is available on the same release date as the download, to maximise week one sales, and ensure that each of the singles does well in the singles chart.

Does Our Mozzer's mention of both World Peace is none of your Business and Mountjoy have any relevance to my blog if yesterday, where I mentioned that three singles were to be release from the forthcoming album? Could these be two of the singles? It is also interesting to note that yesterday I was playing songs on the Twitterdilly Arms jukebox that I hoped Moz might sing on the new tour. Just one of my choices was re-tweeted by Our Mozzer, I Know It's Gonna Happen Sometime! Remember where you read it first!


Fifi and Astraea's visit to The Arms was also fairly brief, but they certainly managed to pull in a crowd, and for a short period, the old Twit Arms was rocking like the old days. Fifi entered The Arms saying, "Out of rehab. At The Arms for an hour only. Back on May 7th. I've missed you little charmers." Astraea played a few songs on the jukebox; which will no doubt feature in Tuesday's chart, but Fifi played just one song, People are the Same Everywhere. Another hint to the setlist? Fifi also retweeted Kirky's tweet which said, "I think a uk visit is long overdue and eagerly awaited." Is it too much to hope for a UK tour this year, with perhaps a stop off on the Isle of Wight?

And on the subject of European concerts, there has still been no further news on possible appearances at the Castlefields festival on July 12th, or the Sicily concert on July 28th. WHAT is happening? Bid from the Monochrome Set continues to tweet Morrissey songs, so I am sticking to my hunch that he will be supporting Moz at Castlefields, but if it is happening, then surely there must be an announcement soon? I do hope so, some of us have cricket matches to organise!

Britain looks set to bathe in sunshine this weekend, so today I am off to Canford Magna in Dorset to watch some cricket, and tomorrow I will be heading to Brighton in Sussex for more of the same. I have waited a long time for the cricket season to get underway, and after last week's rain, which put me in a foul mood, and stopped me visiting Boz Boorer, it at last looks as though summer has arrived.

Did I mention that I was going to see Boz? No? Well, last week I went to Oxford for a few days, and I was going to pop in to Vinyl Boutique, between watching cricket, but it never happened because of the rain and the mood. I tweeted to mention this, and got a reply from Lyn Boorer via @Vinyl_Boutique saying that it was a shame I hadn't called in, because BB was there. At least, I think I received a tweet, it seems to have disappeared now! Perhaps I dreamt it! Hmm.

And on the subject of Boz and dreams, I recently stumbled over this classic parody piece from the FTM archives. It deserves another read, SO READ IT!

MOZ AND BOZ IN NYC - ORIGINALLY PUBLISHED ON OCT 2 2012

(It was reported that on Sunday September 23rd 2012, that Morrissey had helped an elderly lady who had fainted in a New York bookstore. Here now, is the truth.)

(Sunday Sept 23rd 2012 - 9am : The setting is the foyer of an unknown hotel in the middle of Manhattan, NYC. Rock-a-billy musician Martin 'Boz' Boorer enters the hotel and approaches the reception desk, where he is attended to by the attractive receptionist.)


BOZ BOORER: (to receptionist. In thick Cockney accent) All right (Looks at name tag) Patsy, how's tricks?

PATSY:(in a southern american country drawl) I'm fine thank you sir. I LOVE your accent, are you from Eng-er-land?

BOZ: That's right love, I'm from Landon.

PATSY: (beaming and playing with her hair) Wow, I LOVE London.

BOZ: I've just flown in from Portugal, can you tell me what room Morrissey is in please?

PATSY: (sounding impressed) Portugal? What a jet setter. You look like a real playboy. Who is Morrissey?


PATSY - "WHO IS MORRISSEY?"


BOZ: You're not the first person to ask that lately sweetheart, he's a singer from England, he's staying here.

PATSY: (Looks on computer screen)We have nobody booked in under that name sir.

BOZ: No, of course not, silly me. How about Kenneth Williams?

PATSY: (Looks at computer screen) No sir.

BOZ: Charles Hawtrey?

PATSY: How are you spelling that?

BOZ: Blimey, I don't know, er, H-A-W-T-R-E-E? No, wait, I think that's how I spelt it on Mozzer's twitter thing the other week and he ended up hitting me for making such a schoolboy error, it's E-Y. H-A-W-T-R-E-Y.

PATSY: (Looks at computer) I'm sorry sir, we don't have anybody of that name staying either.

BOZ: (under his breath) For fuck's sake. (Pauses for thought, and then excitedly says) STANLEY BAKER, he MUST be Stanley Baker.

PATSY: (Looks at computer) We DO have a Mister Baker staying, but not a Stanley.

STANLEY BAKER - NOT IN NYC


BOZ: Hold on gal, I'll give Moz a call. (Boz dials a number on his mobile (cell) phone and waits. There is no answer.) This is ridiculous, look, how about if I describe him. He's mid fifties (smirks to himself), greying hair, which may have some sort of quiff to it, and he's slightly balding on top, but don't tell him I said so. (The reception girl looks blank). He might be wearing a coloured plaster on his right index finger, particularly if it was a bad flight!

PATSY: (face lighting up) YES, YES we DO have somebody fitting that description staying here, a Mister Wycherley, he has a blue band aid on his finger and two bright red rings.

BOZ: THAT'S HIM, that's my man, what room number is he in darlin'?

PATSY: I'm sorry sir, I can't tell you that, I shouldn't really have told you his name.

BOZ: Well could you just ring up to his room for me then please, it really is VERY important, he's expecting me.

PATSY: (teasing her hair and looking adoringly into Boz's eyes) I shouldn't really, but I DO so love your accent, and you are such a handsome man. Who should I say is here for him?

BOZ: Boz Boorer.

PATSY: (ecstatic) REALLY? YOU'RE BOZ BOORER?

BOZ: (surprised)You've heard of me?

PATSY: Heard of you? You're my frickin hero, I have ALL your albums. I am the Polecats BIGGEST fan. OH MY GOD, wait 'til I tell Joanie, she'll die. You can go on up to Mister Wycherley's room Mister Boorer, it's number seventeen thirty four. I am SO thrilled to have met you. I don't suppose you would sign my breasts would you?

(We cut to Morrissey's hotel bedroom. Morrissey is laying in bed with his glasses on, reading a newspaper, Boz Boorer is laying next to him, fast asleep and snoring loudly)

MOZ: (shaking Boz): WAKE UP WAKE UP

BOZ: (coming around) Patsy?

MOZ: PATSY? Boz, were you dreaming again?

BOZ (LEFT) & MOZ IN A HOTEL BEDROOM IN MANHATTAN

BOZ: Oh, er, yeah, er, sorry Moz, I must've nodded off for a minute.

(It should be noted that Morrissey is in a Kenneth Williams style 'woe is me' type of  mood and actually makes for better reading if you imagine Moz saying it in a Kenneth Williams voice!)

MOZ: It's no wonder we haven't managed to cobble together a 'single' new song this year Boz, what with you spending half your time out in Portugal twiddling knobs for nobodies, and the other half fast asleep. (there is a pause for a minute or so as Moz pretends to carry on reading his newspaper) I honestly CANNOT remember the last time you handed me an half decent tune, or for that matter, a tune of ANY level of decency whatsoever, for me to add my lyrical genius to. (pause) It really ISN'T good enough Boz. (another pause) It was NEVER like this with Johnny, he NEVER dried up on me. (licks his lips). You do realise Boz, we're heading nowhere fast (smirks to himself behind his newspaper. )

BOZ: There's no need to mention 'HIM', and anyway, I thought you said there was no point in you writing any new songs without a record deal?

MOZ: (throws newspaper down on bed, aannoyed) I didn't say that! 'When' did I say THAT?

BOZ: In Hawaii, when we were celebrating my birthday. You said to me not to bother writing any new stuff for you until you'd signed a new deal.

MOZ: STUFF? Now I know you're lying Boz, when would I EVER use the word stuff? Mind you, 'stuff' is actually quite apt to describe some of your more recent work. I can't help but feel that my words to Art-Hounds were wasted on that lumpy backing track of yours, I wonder if it's too late to use the words elsewhere, I don't think anyone would notice. (pauses momentarily for thought). Anyway, I'd had a couple of drinks on your birthday, so if I DID say not to write any more songs, I certainly didn't mean it, and what is more Boz, you are a writer of music, it is what you do, so why would you stop just because 'I' told you to? Would you do 'anything' I say? Actually, don't answer that old son, there are certain things that don't need to be said.

BOZ: I didn't stop writing Moz, I just used all the new tunes for myself.

MOZ: Ah yes, 'Vicars and Tarts'.

BOZ: 'Some Of The Parts'.

MOZ: (smirking) Mmm, perhaps it's for the best that you've not submitted any tunes to me for a while. I suppose Jesse's told you about the three new mesmerizing tunes he's presented for my consideration?

(Boz doesn't reply, but instead, gets out of bed, scratches his balls (at which point Moz screws up his face in disgust and starts to re-read his newspaper), and then goes into the bathroom where he can be heard brushing his teeth and then gargling. As he gargles Moz again screws up his face in disgust. The shower is turned on. Boz emerges ten minutes later and starts to put his trousers on.)

BOZ GETTING DRESSED



MOZ: What are you doing?

BOZ: Getting dressed.

MOZ: Martin, do you not recall what I said to you when we arrived last night? The fans all think you're in LA, they think I'm here alone.

BOZ: I know, I tweeted it last week, just like you told me too. What's that got to do with me getting dressed?

MOZ: Boz, I don't want ANYBODY knowing that you are already here in New York, I need to keep up the pretence that a) we NEVER see each other when we aren't on stage, and b) that I spend all day every day holed up in a room on my own. It adds to my Garboesque.

BOZ: Pretence? You DO lock yourself away all day every day. You sit on twitter, pretending not to be you.

MOZ: BOZ! I have NEVER been on twitter in my life! Urgh, the very thought of ME, an international megastar, on such a cheap and degrading thing as twitter. How disgusting, how could you even suggest such a thing? Say sorry (glares at Boz).

BOZ: Sorry Moz.

MOZ: That's better. Now, back  to the point I was trying to make before you rudely interrupted me. The reason that you CANNOT get dressed in that attire, is because you CANNOT be seen in New York.

BOZ: But you said we were going to go and have a butcher's around that book shop.

 (*American readers please note, a 'butcher's' is a shortened version of 'butcher's hook', which is cockney rhyming slang for the word 'look'. Carry on*)

MOZ: And so we shall, but you will have to dress as Gaynor.

BOZ: Oh for fuck's sake, do I 'ave to?

MOZ: Yes Boz, you "'ave to." Now hurry up, and we can get going.

(Morrissey gets dressed in jeans and shirt, while Boz changes into his full stage drag costume, and puts his guitar on)

MARTIN 'BOZ''GAYNOR TENSION' BOORER - ROCK-A-BILLY


MOZ: Boz, what are you doing? You don't need a guitar, we're going down the shops.

BOZ: (Taking guitar off) Oh yeah, force of habit.

MOZ: Right, I'll set off first. Give me five minutes and then follow. We're going to Strand bookstore on the corner of twelfth and Broadway, do you know where that is?

BOZ: Yeah, I know, this outfit ain't half hot...

MOZ: ...mum (they both laugh). Stop moaning Boz. I'll see you in five minutes.

(Morrissey sets off and goes into Strand Bookstore, where he starts to look at books in the photographic section.)


STRAND BOOKSTORE

(Half an hour passes but there is no sign of Boz. Moz then hears a clumping of stiletto heels coming towards him)

BOZ: Ah Moz, there you are, I've been looking all around this shop for you, I thought you'd be in the music section, or the arty farty bit, I didn't realise you'd be looking at picture books.

MOZ: They're not picture books Boz, I'm looking at books on American homosexuality in the nineteen fifties, they're really VERY interesting. They've given me a number of ideas for new stage back drops, here look. (Moz hands Boz half a dozen books).



BOZ: I don't think I can hold that many books Moz, I really do feel quite hot in this dress. Moz, I think I'm going to....(Boz faints)

PASSER BY 1: Oh my god, that lady's fainted.

PASSER BY 2: Somebody do something.

STRAND BOOKSTORE WORKER: Does anybody know first aid?

MOZ: (Moz picks up the books that Boz has dropped, and puts them into Boz's bag while nobody is looking.) Don't worry, I'll help him, I mean her. Moz gently lifts Boz and sits him up. Boz comes around.)

MOZ SITS BOZ UP



BOOKSTORE WORKER: (to the small crowd who have gathered) Wow, I recognise that guy, it's the former lead singer of eighties band The Smiths, it's Morrissey.

PASSER BY 3: The Smiths? Hell, aren't they supposed to be getting back together?

PASSER BY 4: Nah, that's just a rumour that won't go away. Morrissey would NEVER reform The Smiths, he'd rather eat his own balls, ain't that right Moz?

MOZ: (smiles politely) (whispers to Boz through gritted teeth) Don't say anything, they'll hear your voice.

BOOKSTORE WORKER: Morrissey, is that elderly lady ok?

BOZ: (sitting up) ELDERLY? Who are you calling el (Moz puts his hand across Boz's mouth).

MOZ: Try not to talk old thing. Can I get you some water? (Boz stands up and goes to grab Morrissey's throat before stopping himself and gently stroking his face instead).

PASSER BY 5: Ain't that sweet, the old gal's thanking him. I don't even think she knows who her saviour is.

(Morrissey hands Boz his bag, full of the stolen books, and both men hurriedly exit the store. Boz walks off around the corner, where Moz catches him up.)

MOZ: You got the books?

BOZ: Yep.

MOZ: Like Bonnie and Clyde, Boz, like Bonnie and Clyde, and tomorrow we'll hit the record shops.

(Both men go off into the sunset singing)

MOZ & BOZ: Shoplifters of the world, unite and take over, shoplifters of the world, hand it over, hand it over.

UNITE AND TAKE OVER

Dorset was beautiful yesterday, and the sun shone all day. The cricket was not so beautiful, but early May always brings sticky wickets. The good news is that the long range forecast is for Britain to have a long hot summer. Happy days.

All quiet on the Moz front yesterday, although both Astraea and Fifi popped into The Arms very briefly, just to listen to me playing Janitor of Lunacy on the jukebox. It is a song that Astraea introduced to me a while ago.



It would appear that I was mistaken about my tweet from Lyn Boorer disappearing, I just couldn't see it in the new mishmash of a set up that the twitter people must see as progress:



And on the subject of Boz,.... hold on, what's happened to the type set? Bloody thing! Anyway,  it would appear that Boz has been busy record shopping in LA. No doubt this little lot will be hidden in his suitcase among his Y-fronts, and if customs do find them, he will, I'm sure, convince them that the goods are for his "own personal use"!:

Right then, I'm off to Brighton to watch some more cricket, so I shall leave you with another blast from the FTM past. A 'Dear Diary' written back in November 2011. There are no pictures with it, because it's a diary entry, but it's worth sticking with it, particularly for the bit about Moz having his hair cut, or to read the lyrics to the song In the Brain:


'DEAR DIARY' - ORIGINALLY PUBLISHED ON DAY 65 OF FTM, RECEIVING 88 HITS, AND NO COMMENTS

(The setting is The Mozziah's private cabin on the band's tour bus, driving through the night from Dallas, Texas to Santa Fe, New Mexico. Current day, 2am local time).

Dear Diary, Where do I start? Come to think of it, why do I start? What is the point of all this, really, what IS the point? How many times have I asked you that my dearest diary? And of course you don't really understand anyway do you, after all, you are just paper in a book; you're as manufactured as the rest of them. Why do I write Dear Diary when we both know that it is to Oscar that I write every night? Dearest, earnest, Oscar. Darling, darling, desperately misunderstood Oscar. What wouldn't I have done to have been born in your time, to have sat at your feet, to have been your very own Cecily or even to have been in Paris at the end? In fact, it would be Paris that I choose, to have been the one to scoop you up and save you. Just me and you. There has never been anybody else like you, but I do try, you know I try don't you?

So what of today Dear Oscar? To kill some time, I accompanied Jesse, Solomon and Boz to a local barber shop, the originally entitled Rob's Chop Shop, owned by a guy called Rob Villareal. Isn't that a Spanish football team? Boz thought it was a butcher's shop, and to be fair, he wasn't far wrong. Of course Mum is the only one who usually touches MY barnet, but old Rob did a fairly good job on Jesse, so I decided to let him loose on me. Not the quiff of course, just a little off the back and sides. Whilst cutting it, Rob mentioned he could make a killing on ebay by selling MY hair. Well I wasn't having that, will these b*stards stop at nothing? I got Jesse and Solomon to pick the hair up from the floor, every last strand, and stuff it in their pockets.

It then occurred to me that they TOO could try and put my hair on ebay, so I took it off them and put it in my pockets instead. Old Villareal took offence to all this, and started spouting on about it being HIS property, because it was on his floor. It all got a bit embarrassing as he tried to grab it back and at one point we were all pulling on it; it reminded me of the scenes at my concerts when the Meatheads fight over the shirt. Anyway, in the end Boz stuck one on Villareal's chin and we made a run for it. I emptied my pockets when we got back to the bus and burnt the hair. The smell was awful but what else could I do?

Burning the hair gave me a great idea, I gave Boz the lighter and told him to go back and 'torch' Rob's Chop Shop. It brings a whole new meaning to Hairdresser on Fire. Boz refused. C***! I'm sure some of that hair in my pocket was his; all greasy and silver it was, with brown dye rubbing off. I KNEW he coloured it!

 The whole barber's experience ruined my day, I considered cancelling the Dallas show in protest but Boz said there'd be consequences, which was rich coming from him after Chicago. I cancelled the 'freebie' Jimmy Kimmel show instead, no consequences there. It wasn't actually me that cancelled it, but I'll let 'THEM' think I did, they'll only think it was me anyway.

After the barbers, I took to my cabin for the rest of the day and logged on to the internet. I really wish I could leave it alone but what else is there to do with ALL these spare hours? I wish I hadn't bothered, the wifi has been sporadic and what do I find on ebay?.... Only one of MY personal letters for sale! It reminded me why I no longer write to anybody. Nothing is safe, nothing. At least they are asking a fair price, six hundred and forty nine dollars. Should I bid for it? It would stop anybody else getting hold of it. No, I won't bother, there's nothing in the letter anyway apart from reference to those 12 bloody Adam Faith records I regrettably bought. I wonder if Mum's still got them? That was the most generous Christmas present I ever gave her. Parlophone.

The So-Lowers are at it again, pulling MY latest set list to pieces. Did any of them actually go to the show? NO, of course not and yet once again they think they can tell me which of MY songs I should sing. And even if they did go, what right does it give them? Wankers. I really aught to persist with my own 'fan site', but it's such a waste of my true creative talents, and they are all philistines anyway. How many of them had any idea about the Green Carnation society? None. How can they claim to be fans of mine when they haven't read a scrap of your material dear Oscar, and know NOTHING about you? I should've known, I really should've known. It shouldn't have been me instigating the idea of a Secret Society in the first place, one of them should've started it, but how could that EVER have happened, when not one of the bastards knew anything about Green Carnation?

Anyway, again no roses this evening in Dallas, that's three concerts in a row now, and not a single petal has reached the stage. I saw somebody with a whole bunch of red roses at San An, but did they throw them to the stage? Did they f***. And I read on twotter that one of my fans brought a rose to Austin and then..... took it home again! I ask you!

I despair, only me! It could only happen to me. Oh well. I have a new song dear heart; may I? I've called it In the Brain. All your influence of course; it always is. Nobody will notice though, apart from perhaps Dr. Hoops. Clever man, Dr. Hoops.

I must get some sleep now. Oh the concert? I was good, in fact, very good, although I will of course take the compliments with my usual self deprecation, but I really was extremely good if I'm honest. Mind you, I had to stop midway through FOTG; somebody was in trouble in the crowd. I really should detach myself but I'm just TOO caring. No clips yet on Youtube, I'll look again in the morning. Finger is completely fine now but I'll keep the plaster on a bit longer, just in case.

Where to now, you ask? Let me look at my tour schedule. Dallas to Santa Fe, 637 miles. Approximate travel time 10 hours 44 minutes. Christ, I hope Boz doesn't start that game again. HE may think it's funny playing 'Guess the Song' as he burps a tune, but I find it both distasteful and vulgar. Did I really write modern poetry like Trouble Loves Me and Let Me Kiss You, just to have that oaf and is muso mates burp their way them on a bus? Oh bollocks, they HAVE started playing it again. For fuck's sake, what have I done to deserve this? Hold on, I know that one. *Shouts to Boz & the boys* "EVERYDAY IS LIKE SUNDAY".


ROB IN ACTION

Fifi, Astraea and Our Mozzer have all paid a visit to The Arms in the past 24 hours, and Our Mozzer has also posted Part IV of his parody piece Lounging Around in the comments section of Day 929 of FTM. I have no idea if there is any relevance to the final part of the parody piece being placed on my blog entry about Banjaxer, but I am guessing not.

Here is PART IV of LOUNGING AROUND written by Our Mozzer aka Morrissey (but don't ever ask him if he is Our Mozzer, or he'll kick yer teeth in.)

"Sir, they've posted another comment on your blog!"

"How many in total, Boz?"

"Seventeen, Moz."

"..And how many by that bored rodent bod?"

"... erm... uhm...most of them, sire."

The seminal artiste closes his eyes, as if tired of this world, and too tired to breathe any longer.

"It's puzzling, Morr-ee-say," says Mikey Bracewell with a look of concern in his eyes. "Your blog is the online equivalent of Ricky Gervais' Extras: it's very arch, ironic, postmodern..."

"-It's also edited by an incompetent c***," says Broken, gazing at Mikey with glassy eyes.

"Good point Broken," says Morr-ee-say, opening his electric blue eyes. "Perhaps the editing is to blame for my blog's lack of success, just as it was to blame for my book's critical mauling?"

Mikey Bracewell gulps.




"I thought Mikey did a splendid job, Mowwissey!" says Wossy with a glib smile. "Maybe the reason your blog isn't widely known about is because you keep deleting it?!"

"Oh come now, Jonathan. A truly great piece of art will draw people in, regardless of whether it's immediately available."

"A bit like my c*ck!" swoons Russell.

Morrissey glowers at Russell Brand.

"...Well sometimes it's not immeditely available.... depends on the old swab test!"

Morrissey rolls his eyes and looks out of the window.



"The weather's awful," says Mikey.

"Absolutely, Mr Bracewell," says Boz. "It's p*ssing it down out there."

"Boz Boorer, would you kindly watch your language?" asks Morrissey primly. "Stop acting like a c***."



Nobody speaks for thirteen minutes and four seconds.

"Another comment, sir!"

"That's it... delete the b*****d thing." Morrissey utters solemnly. "It's over. Until Blue Rose is finally fulfilled..."





The only question is, what exactly does "fulfilled" actually mean? Does it mean somebody getting a BLUE ROSE to Moz on stage; just as Kyle did in 2012, and Devan and Vulgar Angie did in 2013, or is there MORE to it than that? Our Mozzer often hinted that there was more to BLUE ROSE, but what?

For now, let's just presume that Our Mozzer means that we have to get a BLUE ROSE to him on this new tour, so who's going to attempt it first? I presumed that Vulgar Angie had a ticket to the concert at Santa Ana Observatory on the 8th, but she hasn't, so unless the name Angela Reyes just happens to be on the guest list (it may be worth asking, Angie, because you never know!), then it will be up to Clover Dean to try and get a BLUE ROSE to Moz. The good news is that Angie will be at a couple of other concerts, including one in Utah, and she has also agreed to get the Cocteau t-shirt made, and give it to Morrissey.

And on the subject of t-shirts, Jjazzy is going to get one made of Morrissey doing the 'owl eyes' sign:

Fifi's visit to The Arms was a silent visit, but she was definitely present, just lingering near the jukebox. Astraea's visit amounted to watching a compilation video of Elvis swinging his hips, and later meowing, yes, you read that right, meowing. I once met the woman who sang the Meow Mix Cat Food song, but that's another story. (Her name is Toni Wine, and she was also in the pop group The Archies. I met her at a Tony Orlando backstage party in Vegas, along with Tony Orlando who gave me his cell phone number, but that's another story too!)

Our Mozzer's visit to The Arms was also brief, mainly because the pub was virtually empty. His account was quickly closed down again, but I managed to pick up these highlights:

It is interesting that CAPITAL LETTERS are being used for WORLD PEACE IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS. Remember it was @MorrisseyWorld who tweeted it in capitals first. Whatever happened to that MorrisseysWorld.Com site? Perhaps it will never come to anything, but if we want the original  MorrisseysWorld back, then BLUE ROSE has to be fulfilled, so it is now up to the BLUE ROSE SOCIETY to make it happen. EVERYBODY has to take a BLUE ROSE for Morrissey. Two days to go.

It has been revealed today by @LeeThommo that Morrissey's first three singles will be:

1. WORLD PEACE IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS (To be released 14/5)
2. ISTANBUL (21/05)
3. EARTH IS THE LONELIEST PLACE  (4/6) (Ed - this should of course be PLANET, NOT PLACE)

This obviously means that Morrissey will be NUMBER 1 in the UK Chart on his birthday with WORLD PEACE.

The only other thing to report today is that the band have been spotted rehearsing in LA..... which is a rare occurrence. Oh to be a fly on that wall.

As Michael Jackson once said, "THIS IS IT"; although in MJ's case, 'it'turned out to be death by 'milk' as opposed to an exciting series of concerts, but as long as Moz doesn't have Boz acting as his personal physician, we should be alright! *I am now really tempted to write an impromptu parody piece with Moz laying in bed a la Michael Jackson, with Boz playing the part of a rock-a-billy Conrad Murray. Should I? Is it a bit too sick? Oh f*** it!*

(The setting is Morrissey's bedroom in some luxury hotel in LA. It is present day. Morrissey is laying in bed. The curtains are all drawn shut. Morrissey's long-time friend/musical director/Guru of the Grape/Polecat/Record Shop Owner/Cross dressing guitarist/Slightly over-weight bod, Martin 'Boz' Boorer excitedly leaps onto the bed, and begins bouncing up and down.)

BOZ: WAKE UP! WAKE UP! This is it, Moz, This... is... IT! (Boz does an extra high bounce on the bed, and bangs his head on the ceiling.)

(Morrissey doesn't stir. Boz rubs his head.)

BOZ: Come on Moz, please wake up, the tour starts today. *starts singing* I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it, I'm about to lose control, and I think I like it.

(Morrissey's eyes remain closed)

MOZ: Whoever you are, GO AWAY.

BOZ: It's me, Moz, Boz! Aren't you excited? We've waited a long time for this day.

(Boz gets off the bed, and sits down at Morrissey's dressing table. Morrissey keeps his eyes closed, and stretches out a hand onto his bedside table, where he blindly feels around. The feeling gets more frantic until eventually Morrissey opens one eye. He then opens his other eye and sits up in panic.)

MOZ: Where's my Omeprazole, Boz? Who's taken my Omeprazole?

BOZ: O-me what, Moz?

MOZ: My Omeprazole, Boz, my acid reducing tablets. Where are they?

(Boz looks down at the dressing table, which has lots of different medicine bottles and packets on it, and picks up a large packet of tablets.)

BOZ: They're here, Moz. How many do you want, two?

MOZ: I'm burning, Boz, burning. Me Barrett's has taken hold. Throw me the whole box.

BOZ: I really don't think you should-

MOZ: -Just throw me the box, you c***.

(Boz tosses the box to Morrissey, who then swallows a handful of the tablets, using a gin bottle by the side of the bed to help wash them down. He closes his eyes again, and rests his head back down on the pillow. 2 minutes 31 seconds pass, and then Morrissey sits bolt up right and looks over towards Boz.)

MOZ: BOZ? I haven't got my contact lenses in yet, so luckily you are just a blur, albeit a rather large blur, but tell me, are you naked?

BOZ: Oh, er, yes Sir, sorry about that, but in my excitement, I forgot to put any clothes on.

MOZ: And what's that in your hand?

BOZ: It's my Herbie Hancock.

MOZ: Well, if you are trying to impress me, you haven't.



BOZ: I've hardly slept Moz, it's the old nerves. Do you still get them?

MOZ: One has to have feelings to have nerves, Boz.

BOZ: I've been thinking about the setlist Moz. I was thinking Crashing bores, Like You, Camden.

MOZ: Hmm, those ones weren't written by you Boz, were they?

BOZ: Oh, I forget which ones I've written, Moz, but now you come to mention it, I think I did write those three, but that's not why I mention them.

MOZ: "Forget which ones"? You've only written me about five songs in the past twenty years, Boz, and most of those were over a decade ago. Black Cloud has been just about your only decent effort in recent years, and even that was rehashed from Alain's Swallow on my doo dah! Anyway, why are you even thinking about set lists, they are my domain, not yours!

BOZ: I, er-

MOZ: -Of course, what I would really like to be able to do, is make impromptu decisions as to what songs I sing, depending on my mood at the time, but would you and your band be able to cope without a pre-arranged set list?

BOZ: We, er-

MOZ: -Anyway, enough talk of set lists and incompetent musicians, I'm ill Boz, I can't sing tonight, you'd better cancel the show.











BOZ: Oh shit, I had a feeling that this might happen. Moz, you'll be fine.

MOZ: FINE? I have NEVER been fine in my life, and even if I weren't at death's door, which I am, we always cancel the first night, it just wouldn't be a Morrissey tour if we played the opening night. How many times must I tell you, Boz, it's all about the Mysterious otherness, all about the mysterious otherness.

BOZ: Ok, Moz, I'll go and let everybody know.

MOZ: It's too late now, Boz, you should have cancelled it yesterday, I can't cancel now. I will just have to do my best, but this is your first and last warning Boz, I don't want these sort of mistakes being made throughout the tour. I will also be taking something out of your wage packet this month, to cover the cost of the inconvenience.

BOZ: But, I-

MOZ: -No need to thank me, Boz. Now, tell me what's been written in the press about me this week.

(Boz looks slightly perplexed, and then opens up a lap top that is sat on the desk. A couple of minutes pass whilst Boz searches the internet.)

BOZ: Not much to report, Moz. Some bloke called Lee has been tweeting that you are going to release three singles in three weeks, and some other bod from the Telegraph has written about Mountjoy.

MOZ: Mountjoy? My new song, Mountjoy?

BOZ: Er, yes.

MOZ: Unbelievable, perhaps the British press are not as brain dead as I had thought. Read what he's written, Boz.

(Boz, touches the screen with his right index finger, and starts to read, following each word with his finger.)

BOZ: "so what a thrill, buried towards the back of the new album, right after Kick The Bride Down The Aisle, is track 11: Mountjoy. We will have to wait until its July release to find out whether this is indeed a musical tribute to one of Wales's best-loved snooker players, but the thought alone inspires paro, parox, parox, paroxy-

BOZ: "My Live Tour Journal 2011. July 12th to 18th. These days drifted by like confetti thrown in the blackness of night. The funeral atmosphere around myself and the lads was entirely due to the malicious hate-campaign being waged against me by my own online fans.-

MOZ: - C***s!

BOZ: "I don't think they comprehend how painful it is to dedicate your life selflessly to your fans; and to face such contempt from those whom you have stood up for over the many years - the lonely, the lost, the disillusioned. Each man kills the thing he loves. Perhaps I should accept it as a perverse compliment? A part of my soul faded away during these days. A part of me died."

MOZ: How very true. Thank god I managed to save myself with the Blue Rose Society.

BOZ: But Solow is still going Moz, and once the tour starts, even your Blue Rose fans will feel the need to go there to get the setlist. It's apparently the only reason they go there now.

MOZ: Hmm, you may be right there, Boz. Perhaps I should let that fawning rat have the set lists before Solow get their hands on them. It would liven things up a bit.

BOZ: You could even give him the set lists beforehand Moz, or at least an occasional one.

MOZ: No, there's no chance of that happening, Boz, but perhaps I will give the poor s*d a little snippet here and there. In fact, he's bound to be reading this, so let's give him and his dreary friends a little hint for tonight. Still alive. Still ill. Still sleepy. Anyway, forget about the fawning rat, carry on reading my mesmerizing tour journal. The bit about the snooker players is coming up.

(Boz places his index finger back on the screen, and continues to read.)

BOZ: "Stayed in bed for most of the 12th. Watched a DVD of 1970s 'Coronation Street' episodes I'd brought with me. Watched a bit of 'Jim Davidson's Big Break' too but broke down in tears during the pot black challenge with Ray Reardon. I was on my feet cheering as he got down for the pink. Raised a glass as he lined up the black and... same old story. Reminded me of the reviews for 'Years of Refusal' actually. Falling at the final hurdle. He missed the black; I tagged 'OK By Myslef' on the end of an otherwise classic album. Like myself, he's another who enjoyed his career peak in the Autumn of his life. A kindred spirit, a late blossomed. He's not quite Judd Trump or Ronnie O'Whitevan, of course, but he's still got it, old Ray. Don't dismiss him just because he's getting on a bit, will you? Cardinal error."

MOZ: There you go, Boz, I told you it wasn't Doug Mountjoy, it was good old Ray Reardon I wrote about.

BOZ: Still very funny, Moz. You aren't half good at the old parody stuff.

MOZ: Yes Boz, you 're right, I am, and my blog really does deserve a wider audience, but I mean what I said recently; unless the BRS get roses to me, and Blue Rose is fulfilled, it's not coming back.

So, there we have it. We MUST get roses to Moz. And what of the clue regarding tonight's set. "Still alive. Still ill. Still sleepy." My guess is Well I Wonder, Still Ill and Rubber Ring, or perhaps Asleep. I don't think I've ever been so excited about a concert I'm not attending. If Moz sings either I Know it's Gonna Happen Someday or Trouble Loves Me, I might just abandon my son and his GCSEs, and catch the next flight to LA.

7:00 am: Fifi promised a treat for the BLUE ROSE SOCIETY, but what she didn't promise was Christmas f******g Day! I have awoken this morning to find that last night, on the opening night of the tour, Morrissey sang TROUBLE LOVES ME! YES, TROUBLE LOVES ME! HE SANG THE BRS SONG! I can hardly type, I am so excited, but it doesn't stop there; Moz also sang I KNOW IT'S GONNA HAPPEN SOMEDAY, our COCTEAU song, and the ONLY song that Fifi re-tweeted when I was trying to guess the setlist the other day. AND THERE'S MORE! MOZ SANG HAND IN GLOVE, our other Fifi Cocteau song! AND THERE'S MORE, Morrissey sang Life is a Pigsty, The National Front Disco, Asleep, Everyday is Like Sunday, I Have Forgiven Jesus...... I actually think I might self combust with excitement. GET ME ON A PLANE.

UPDATE 8:30 am: I have been trawling through twitter for the past half hour, and keep checking Youtube every five minutes. No new videos have been posted, which is really frustrating, but understandable as it is now 12.30 am in LA. A tweeter called '@xamat' has posted to say that Earth is the Loneliest Planet is a Rumba, so I can't wait to her that, and I also can't wait to hear The Bullfighter Dies and World Peace in it's entirety (the clip I have so far seen only lasts 20 seconds, but it has whetted the old appetite). Clover Dean tweeted during the concert to say that there were blue roses at the concert, but did any get to Moz?

UPDATE 11:06 am: I have just got back from a VERY wet dog walk, and there is LOADS of new Youtube footage. I have added the songs as links to the playlist at the top. We've got Yes, I am Blind, The Bullfighter Diesand Earth is the Loneliest Planet, but I haven't even had the chance to listen to Earth yet. Here is the video of Bullfighter (it is after Y,IAB) plus the lyrics (correct me if I've got them wrong). It is an INCREDIBLE song. LOVE IT , LOVE IT, LOVE IT. I have read that during the evening, Morrissey DID receive some flowers, but were they roses, and were they blue?

UPDATE 11:50 am:Blue Roses have been spotted in the audience, but I still don't know if it was roses that Moz accepted on stage, or some other flowers! It had to be roses. It's ONLY ever roses!

UPDATE 1:20 pm: In all the excitement, I haven't had the chance to mention MorrisseysWorld. The MorrisseysWorld blog appeared again yesterday, and both Our Mozzer and Fifi put in an appearance at The Twitterdilly Arms. Even Broken appeared yesterday; in the MW chatroom, but just as I was about to converse with him, I got hauled back into the real world, and missed him.

Needless to say, both the MW blog and the twitter account have now disappeared once again. Here are MW's highlights from yesterday:

In response to @vulgar1mkela's tweet which said, "I do hope I get in (to the Santa Ana Observatory)": "@vulgar1mkela Good luck." This was then followed by, "Luck is the thrill of the rich and the curse of the poor."

Hopefully Vulgar Angie, the Vice President of the BRS, will manage to buy a ticket for tonight's VERY small venue, but if not, I have advised her to give a BLUE ROSE to Donnie, or one of the crew, and see if the rose has the power to get Angie in. It worked for me in NYC, so it might just work for Angie. The fact that Our Mozzer also retweeted Angie's tweet that said, "thank you, I will have roses in hand if I do get in" might just be a sign that Moz will get her in.

WORLD PEACE - WAS ON THE SETLIST

I was both surprised and deeply honoured to be dragged into the toilets of The Arms in the early hours of yesterday morning by none other than Mademoiselle Fifi, which was much more of a treat than being dragged in by Banjaxer! I won't repeat our whole conversation, and Fifi will probably kick me for even mentioning the conversation at all, but it is EXTREMELY relevant. In the conversation Fifi mentioned "Lonely Planet" and also asked "Am I the only one?" These were obviously clues to the set list, but I didn't pick up on them. I had a pretty strong feeling that Moz would sing I Know It's Gonna Happen Someday (after Fifi retweeted it the other day), but Trouble Loves Me was a MASSIVE surprise, and something the BRS has been waiting for for a long, long time.... although from my earlier hours conversation with Fifi, I had an inkling that it too was coming last night. Here is part of our conversation:

FIFI: Enjoy what is coming next. You should.

ME: Trouble? Are you ready to sing Trouble?

FIFI: I don't SING "Trouble", I AM "Trouble". There will be a BRS treat but I cannot say any more."

There is STILL no video footage of Trouble on Youtube..... or Pigsty! Arghhh! WHAT a setlist!

Somebody has reported on twitter that Kristeen Young started her set with the stage backdrop of 'Amanda and Amy' by Diane Arbus. It is a photo that Moz used when I saw him in NYC last January. I have just googled Diane Arbus, and her work is UNBELIEVABLE. No wonder Morrissey and Kristeen both like her work:

Vulgar Angie has got her BLUE ROSES, and is ready for tonight. The only question now, is WILL her BLUE ROSE manage to get her in to a concert where she DOESN'T have a ticket?



UPDATE 7:15 pm Fifi has paid a visit to The Arms, and I have rather unexpectedly received an email from Moz, although he has pointed out that he didn't actually type it, because "My little finger got a bit twisted last night." No doubt His Mozzness will be wearing a HUGE plaster cast on his pinkie tonight. I have more to add from Moz, but I have just been called for tea.



UPDATE 8:00 pm: Right then, where was I? Oh yes, my email from Morrissey's assistant. He has pointed out that in Hand in Glove, Morrissey can be seen "reaching for the hand of the "little charmer(s)"", adding, "Where did I hear that before? Reach for the hand... Hand in glove... Little charmers...?" You had your clue but missed it. That's OK, I sometimes struggle to understand myself too." He goes on, "Have fun in looking for all the clues. Some of them are obvious, some less obvious. This is what keeps it interesting. I am not telling you any more. There will be much more to say but not now."

I have to say, that my head is spinning with all the information I have tried to take in today, and I WON'T be repeating this tomorrow; mainly because I have a cricket match to attend.

I think Moz may have sensed that my brain is close to frazzling, because Fifi has since dragged me back into the toilets of The Twit Arms, to tell me this:

I do hope that this doesn't mean Glove, I Know and Trouble will now be off the setlist, we haven't even seen Trouble yet!

UPDATE 8:25: I am struggling to take everything in. I am still savouring everything from yesterday's concert, let alone today's. Oh, WHERE to begin? Trouble Loves Me and I Know It's Gonna Happen Someday where DEFINITELY the highlights, but WHAT a concert! WHAT a day. These are SPECIAL times. When, oh when, will they believe us about BLUE ROSE? UPDATE 9:50: I am now at work, and I have a VERY busy morning, before heading off to watch a cricket match this afternoon, so today's blog entry will not be like yesterday's, but then again, NO blog entry will be like yesterday's. I am also supposed to be buying tickets to take my eldest son to see Eminem at Wembley on July 11th, but I am already losing patience with Ticketmaster. There must be a better system for buying tickets than sitting on an internet screen all morning, watching it whir! I have already been kicked out three times, and if it does it again, I shall give up, and take him to Alton Towers instead! Aghhh! Alton Towers it is!

Right then, as there isn't much information available yet about the Santa Ana concert, I shall quickly mention some events of yesterday. So much happened in such a short period of time, that none of us were able to savour the flavour. Perhaps Moz should only do one show a week, so that we can let it all softly sink in, rather than us having to ram it all home.

One of the stand out parts of yesterday was the contribution to my blog by B.M.V (who is he/she? Hmm) who posted a transcript of ALL of Morrissey's 'chit chat' in San Jose, and also corrected me on one or two things, including the lyrics to Earth is the loneliest Planet. The lyric is NOT "You play as a pawn" as I had written, but "you fail as a woman"! An easy mistake to make! If anybody missed B.M.V's contribution, then I would strongly suggest you go back to yesterday's entry and read it. Hopefully B.M.V will post again today with all the audio.

UPDATE 11:50 am: The new MorrisseysWorld blog entry, is entitled '100 word messages for Morrissey from BRS. Do you believe yet? What will you do when everyone believes? Should the entire MW archive be republished? When will the entire venue be awash with roses? Whom will he take one from next?' The article was posted at 1:39 am LA time (9:39 UK), and I posted my 100 word entry straight away, although I 'm sure that the last question about who will be next wasn't there when I wrote my bit!

I have written that I will "smile" when everybody believes, and "welcome them to our world". I have also written that "YES" the whole MW blog should be republished, the genius of MW deserves a MUCH larger audience than just the 'Dreary Deluded Dozen' it has attracted thus far. As to "when will the entire venue be awash with roses", I have written that if Morrissey keeps accepting and wearing them, then it will be sOOn, VERY sOOn....... but actually, WILL it? Are we attracting new members to the BLUE ROSE SOCIETY? Yes, I think we must be. There is very rarely a concert that doesn't now have roses, and hopefully those who persist in bringing their gladioli from the nineteen haties, will soon realise that it is ONLY roses that Morrissey accepts, and ONLY BLUE ROSES that he wears.

Our Blue Rose equivalent of Oscar Wilde's Green Carnation continues to grow at it's own pace, and I am sure that Morrissey will continue to endorse it by accepting roses and wearing them. As to whether people believe Moz is behind the BRS or not is irrelevant. What is important, is that Morrissey fully backs the idea of BLUE ROSE, and the sooner everybody realises that, the sooner each concert venue will be awash with roses..... just as Mam asked for, back in that original 'Bans Committee' parody article of 2011! As to who will be next to get a BLUE ROSE to Moz, we will just have to wait and see. Perhaps it will be Tom Jones on Saturday! Now that would get everybody talking.

The latest MW article signs off with Our Mozzer stating that "When this item has 1000 comments, the next article will be published." The article has now been live for 2 hours, and as well as my 100 word response, there is one from JohnGill (aka Loughton Lil), and THAT IS IT! We may be waiting some time for the next article!

I am desperate to find some time to watch/listen to Mrs Shufflewick, and I hope I don't forget about her, she looks hilarious. I could imagine Boz dressing as her. Is it my imagination, or does Mrs S have BLUE ROSES on that dress of hers?:






It was also pointed out yesterday that the new backdrop picture of Bruce Lee has him doing a 'V' sign, which is one of the signs of MW. Are Bruce and Mrs S further little BRS signs? It is also interesting to note that WORLD PEACE IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS was yesterday referred to by Broken as Morrissey's "anti-NWO protest song." Yet ANOTHER link to the MorrisseysWorld blog, which made LOTS of references to the NWO (New World Order), and acted as PROOF to the likes of Rosy Mires that MW COULDN'T be the work of Morrissey, because "Morrissey just wouldn't do that". How Rosy Mires, Still.I.Cling et al must be kicking themselves now. What would be really great, would be if they came back to the BRS, and just swallowed their pride, admitting they made a MASSIVE mistake in presuming what Morrissey would or wouldn't do, but I doubt they will, they will probably cling closer to the Solow mods and the sinking Solow ship. Such is human behaviour. No doubt the Solow lot will start slagging off the new songs, they probably have already started, but for the VERY first time during a Moz tour, I have not even been tempted to look. Nobody needs them.

UPDATE: VULGAR ANGIE'S DAY IN SANTA ANA

Yesterday was amazing

So I started my day at the Los Angeles Flower District for the hunt of Blue Roses
Yes they were found
Then it was off to Santa Ana
I left the roses in the trunk of my car because I did not want the roses to get ruin

11:30 am
The first person I saw in line was Devon and his dad Jimi
I approach them to say hello we chatted for a bit before I went to chat with Clover Dean
Being the social butterfly I am
I walked the line looking for tickets but no one had any

11:45
I went to the box office and asked if they had a guest list for Morrissey
I told the woman working it that it's a possibility that I might be on it
She replied with how would you know if you were on it for sure
I told her it was word-of-mouth and a possibility
She looked at me like I was crazy and I felt very stupid and embarrassed for even asking
She said if I was even on the guest list it would be out by 730
That would've been way too late for me to make my way to the rail
So I decided just to try my luck and find someone selling a ticket

I was so desperate to try to get into the show I even message Boz to see if I can get on the guest list plus one
But he said he couldn't do it
I think it was it was kind of cool that he replied to me

Checking stub hub craigslist and other ticket sites for tickets everything that I found was $250-$500 for one ticket
So I decided to work the line to see if I was lucky to get tickets

I decide to get a blue rose out of the trunk
To catch anyone's attention

I walk over to Devon and he takes the rose from me and I told him you know your mission get him (Morrissey) this Rose no matter what
Just like Hollywood high school he said he would
I notice something very familiar
I saw a young lad holding a single Blue Rose
I approached him and asked him are you a member of the society

He said no that he was tagged in a post on Twitter that said bring Morrissey a blue Rose
I told him that's very smart the power of the blue roses very strong
That Morrissey might have acknowledged him look at him or possibly even took it from him
He asked me how do you know and I told him I'm the vice president of that society and it's it's known to happen because it's happened to me
He got very very excited when I told him that
I'm not sure what his name was or what his Twitter account name is but he was a sweet young lad

Rumor started going around about Morrissey canceling due to what happened in San Jose and due to the venue booking another band to play in the small room

I saw one of Morissey's security guards that I know and asked him what really happened in San Jose
He said Morrissey was not assaulted nor attack

It was just too many people Rushing the stage at once
(think Live in Dallas 91)
And a few fans not knowing how to approach him

As for the other rumor he said rumors are rumors and will always be said but the show will go on

Some women approached me asking me if I still needed a ticket and told them yes they said her friend is selling one and is on her way from Chicago

JJazz's boyfriend Johnny tagged me in a post of the woman from Chicago who was selling a ticket on Facebook

When I realize the woman from Chicago was a woman that I met in Las Vegas at a Morrissey show

I knew it was faith

When she arrived she's said I have your ticket for you and I gave her a tight bear hug and she said don't cry
I told her you don't understand I really do want to cry















I ran into Andrea gave her a rose and spoke with her

Clover Dean had Kevin cunnings next to her in line and I approach them I didn't want to put myself out there for him but he looked at my tattoos and he complimented me on my shirt I was wearing
He told me that's my picture Your wearing on your shirt and I told him yes I know it laugh

Showtime Christeen Young did an amazing job last night
But she looked very irritated and upset with no I contact at the crowd
I Was trying to get her attention with a white rose

I wrote her once telling her if I see her I was going to give her one

She Didn't look my way but I ended up tossing it on stage with her set ended

I found to be quite unusual was that she had to take down her instruments by herself
not the roadies like at previous shows
But herself and her bandmates
After she was done taking her keyboard down she noticed the Rose
Picked it up and said thank you
I was trying to get her attention so she could noticed that it was I that gave it to her
But she ended up tossing it back to the crowd
To be completely honest I was a little bummed out that she threw it back instead of keeping it

School is about to begin

It was truly an amazing night

But my question and what I really want to know is where did the roses disappeared to

Did Morrissey pick him up when he was going off stage

With no show last night..... sorry, I should clarify, when I say "no show", I don't mean Morrissey didn't turn up, I mean there actually was NO SHOW.... where was I? Oh yes, with no show last night, it has meant that I have had a bit of time to catch up with the events of the past 48 hours, and WHAT a 48 hours they have been. Because SO much has happened, I haven't be able to pay enough attention to the fact that the BLUE ROSE SOCIETY anthem, Trouble Loves Me, has been sung TWICE in as many days, including Morrissey singing it in Santa Ana whilst WEARING a BLUE ROSE. They said it would never happen..... IT HAPPENED! Play it again, Sam:

I should add at this point, that all of those who have been beside themselves with joy at Trouble Loves Me being added to the setlist, you should make the most of what we have had, because I don't think it is a permanent addition. From what Mademoiselle Fifi has told me, I think Trouble was only originally intended to be played on that opening night in San Jose, but because no video clip of it had appeared on Youtube, Morrissey played it again for us in Santa Ana. Hopefully I am wrong. PLEASE may I be wrong.

I have more news for the BLUE ROSE SOCIETY from Morrissey, received via Mademoiselle Fifi's secretary, during a rendezvous in the toilets of The Twitterdilly Arms. Here is the news:

"Sire asks if you noticed (probably not, you never pay attention) Day 1 - Bonsoir + Hand in glove. Day 2 - Hand in glove + Merci. HIG = the Cocteau link = BRS treat."

Actually, YES, WE DID NOTICE, and it was a thrill, albeit a cheap thrill, but a thrill none the less.

M.Fifi's secretary continued, "That tiny blue rose was not easy to spot and yet, he lunges (in a ratty manner), takes it and keeps it in his pocket. Kid on stage = BRS member Pride."

And the most touching thing EVER, was this statement from The Mozziah (I haven't called him that for ages): "Trouble with the Blue Rose was such an emotional moment." We couldn't agree more. Hopefully some Youtube footage will emerge of Moz singing Trouble in Santa Ana, wearing the BRS rose. Fulfilled.


MORRISSEY WEARING HIS BLUE ROSE IN SANTA ANA

Although Trouble Loves Me may be disappearing from the setlist, the good news is that All the Lazy Dykes might soon be appearing, well, at some stage during the tour at any rate. Apparently it depends on whether or not I show enough respect to His Mozzness. I will try my utmost, but he can be a **** at times.... sorry, sorry, sorry. *Must try harder to be respectful*

Before I move on, I would also like to just a spend a moment taking in I Know It's Gonna Happen Someday. In previous years when Morrissey has sung this song live, he hasn't used the radio interference at the beginning, but this time he HAD to. It is a MASSIVE part of the BLUE ROSE story. Many people think that the radio interference used on the record is just random, but it ISN'T! Morrissey doesn't do random. The interference, AND the song, is all Jean Cocteau related, and now that Morrissey has shared that information with the BRS, it makes it a VERY special song for us. Almost as special as Trouble. Hand in Glove is the same...... Fucking hell (excuse my French), are we actually aware of just WHAT is happening via this whole MW/BRS phenomenon? Morrissey is sharing 'stuff' with us that NOBODY else knows about. I don't think any of us quite comprehend just how historically important all of this is. Morrissey is the modern day Oscar Wilde, who won't be fully appreciated for his genius until he is long gone, and WE are in his world.... PINCH ME. HARDER. If Oscar had been around today, the MW blog would have been exactly what he would have created..... although it would probably have been called OscarsWorld, no, no, no..... WildeWorld.

I seem to have gone off at a tangent, I want to take a moment to savour I Know It's Gonna Happen Someday, and whilst I am at it, I also want to savour Life is a Pigsty, which despite being my favourite Morrissey song of all time, has somehow not been mentioned in all the excitement of the past two days. Breathe.







And whilst I am playing videos, here is Moz singing Everyday is Like Sunday in Santa Ana, whilst wearing HIS Blue Rose. Yes, it's HIS Blue Rose.


A number of other video clips of the Santa Ana concert have now surfaced on Youtube, and I have added them as links on the setlist of yesterday's blog. The clips include the brilliant new songs WORLD PEACE IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS and The Bullfighter Dies. There is also a fantastic new version of First of the Gang to Die, which I thought was a Samba, but it is apparently a kind of Mexican folk music called Mariachi. Asleep with Moz STILL wearing the BLUE ROSE has also appeared. I DO hope that Trouble emerges, if not, Moz will HAVE to play it again, and will HAVE to take another Blue Rose.

So, what happens now with the BRS? Morrissey has now taken a BLUE ROSE on at least four occasions, and has worn it on three, but will the masses come running to us? I believe that the answer is NO. The Solowers have written us off as a bunch of fruit cakes and nut jobs. Even with Morrissey blatantly showing his support for the BRS, they are SO lost up themselves, that they can't see ANY of what is going on, but the Solowers aren't alone. Even a seasoned Moz fan like Dickie Felton CANNOT see what is going on right in front of his own eyes. I like Dickie, I think his books about Moz are well written, and he is never negative about anything to do with Morrissey. I also like his Scouse wit, and the BRS would really benefit from having him in our ranks, but despite me having sent Dickie many, many pieces of evidence, proving that Moz is behind MW and the BRS, Dickie just doesn't want to know. This week, Dickie has stood right in front of Moz in Santa Ana, watching him sing the BRS theme tune, whilst wearing a BLUE ROSE, and STILL he cannot see. You therefore have to say, if the likes of a switched on cookie like Dickie are failing to realise that Moz is behind the BRS, then there is NO hope of the masses seeing. This could run and run.

The most recent MorrisseysWorld blog article has currently amassed forty two comments. The target figure before any new articles are posted is one thousand. There have been some excellent contributions, none more so than this, from Broken:

So there we have it, the BRS remains WELL under the radar, and it would appear that the members are all more than happy with that. There was once a time when we all got VERY frustrated that nobody could see, but now, we are happy that they don't. It is more exciting when the odd one or two stumble upon us. It means more that way.







THE BLUE ROSE SOCIETY T-SHIRT THAT VULGAR ANGIE HAS MADE FOR MOZ

Early this morning, Mademoiselle Fifi popped into The Twitterdilly Arms, and chatted very briefly with myself and Jazzy. Jazzy asked which of these t-shirts she should give to Moz:

















Fifi replied, "OOh tricky question." Let's now see if Jazzy can get the shirt to Moz, and then let's see if he will wear it. We must also wait to see if Angie gets the BRS Cocteau shirt to Moz. Exciting times ahead.

There is much more that I could write today, but as usual, time is short, so I will add the rest in bullet points:

1. Moz has so far been wearing a blazer on this tour. I believe it is because he KNEW he was going to wear a BLUE ROSE, and therefore needed a button hill to display it.

2. Moz hasn't stripped and tossed yet on this tour. A lot of people are hoping this situation changes soon.

3. The drum has once again had red and blue lighting around it, a la Dr Jacoby's glasses in Twin Peaks; a MW link.

4. I believe that all three of the new songs that have been played so far are Jesse Tobias songs. They just sound like they should be. I have illegally downloaded them from Youtube, and have been listening non stop. I love them all, but particularly Bullfighter at the moment, although this will no doubt change. There is something special about a 2 minute pop song, and the lyrics are both witty, and yet strong. I also seem to have WPINOYB in my head the whole time.... that is when Trouble, I Know It's and Pigsty allow it to surface. It could become the anthem of the non voter. And on the subject of WPINOYB, not only are there posters in LA and NYC, but now Manchester too! I haven't seen any around my way, but if I do, I will post it on here!

Trouble Loves Me remains in the set..... and all is well with the world.... MorrisseysWorld. I won't write today, but will add videos and pictures from yesterday's show. The MorrisseysWorld blog has not had any further articles added, but seeing as there are only 45 comments, that isn't surprising! Meanwhile, there is news regarding the release of the single version of WORLD PEACE IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS.... it is available to download from May 13th, and here is the sleeve artwork. It's the photo of Moz in the gardens of La Fabrique in France, with Paula the dog, his Mont Blanc pen, plus an old bike and a wall added to the background. What is more, Morrissey is wearing Fifi's plimsols. IT'S A COVER FOR THE BLUE ROSE SOCIETY!.... well, the plimsols at any rate.

The rumour was true. @LeeThommo was right. Ladies and gentlemen, we have a BRAND NEW MORRISSEY single available to buy on TUESDAY, and the chances are we will have Istanbul next week and Earth is the Loneliest Planet after that. Exciting times.

Another heavy downpour of good old fashioned English rain on Friday night, put an end to me watching any cricket over the weekend, which meant I was able to catch up on all the recent concert footage from LA. It is most disappointing that there is still NO Youtube footage of Morrissey singing Trouble Loves Me in Santa Ana whilst wearing a BLUE ROSE, but the fact that it happened is all that matters. There is also no Youtube footage of Morrissey actually receiving the rose from Devan during Yes, I am Blind, but again, it happened.

Luckily, some more Youtube footage has emerged of Trouble Loves Me being sung at the LA Sports Arena on Saturday. God, I love that song:



I still haven't gotten around to watching Mrs Shufflewick live at The Black Cap, but I have a feeling that Morrissey has chosen to bring Mrs Shufflewick to our attention to highlight The Black Cap, and NOT Mrs S. The Black Cap is a notorious gay pub in Camden, and I wonder if it is the image that Moz has of The Twitterdilly Arms?


THE BLACK CAP - CAMDEN

I wonder if they spank people with wet plimsolls in The Black Cap, because a lot of that seems to go on in The Arms. Willow got very excited yesterday when the image was released of the new Morrissey single, with Moz wearing plimsolls. For months, Willow and Fifi have been going on about wet plimsolls, and I have had no idea why, so yesterday I decided to ask Willow. She tutted, before informing me "wet plimsoll" is a famous Morrissey quote from 1987. Well how was I supposed to know?! "Whoever says The Smiths have split shall be severely spanked by me with a wet plimsoll."

Fifi made a very brief appearance in The Arms yesterday, but I couldn't hang around to chat. She was very complementary toward me though, saying, "Lovely, Rat, so lovely. YOU ****&&$*****@@@@*!" At least I think it was a compliment! Fifi also added, "I wasn't here for Rat anyway. Only for my little charmers." Fifi has always called the BRS girls her little charmers, which is why Hand in Glove is a BRS song; along with the fact that it was the BRS who revealed that HIG is a Jean Cocteau related song..... well, Fifi revealed it, but she IS a member of the BRS, or at the very least a "Blue Rose Society enthusiast". It says so on her twitter profile. Fifi has also started using the picture that I first published on FTM as her new profile pic. It suits her:

And whilst on the subject of the man who split The Smiths, Johnny Marr has today tweeted to say that he will be playing the Wedgewood Rooms in Portsmouth on August 2nd. The last time JM played at this excellent venue, he allegedly"blew the roof off", so I have decided to go and check him out live. I have at times been a little scathing about Johnny's abilities as a singer, and received a hard rap across the knuckles from Morrissey for criticising him, but there is no doubting Johnny's ability as a guitarist, so I will go and see for myself what he is like. I shall buy a ticket for Fifi. Can you imagine if she came with me? Why not? I'll ask her. A night out with a rat, in the glamorous city of Portsmouth. Perhaps Fifi could wear her plimsolls.

Incidentally, I can't make it to the Kingsbury Hall in Salt Lake City this coming Friday to watch Morrissey live in concert, so instead, I am going to the Wedgewood Rooms in Portsmouth City, to watch The Smyths. I don't suppose there is much difference, and as The Smyths are going to be playing the whole of Hatful of Hollow, at least I will get to see and hear What Difference Does It Make, which the good people of Utah DEFINITELY won't!

I would dearly LOVE to be in the USA watching Morrissey with other members of the BRS, but my eldest son has started his GCSES this week, so as a responsible parent, I am remaining in the UK, and will just have to be satisfied with watching a pretend Morrissey with Big Mick! Big Mick always gets a bit touchy feely when he's had a few jars, so there is that to look forward to as well. Who said romance was dead?

THE SMYTHS - I HAVE NO IDEA WHO IS SUPPOSED TO BE WHO

Can you imagine having the job title of 'Mike Joyce Impersonator'? Come to think of it, can you imagine having the job title of 'Mike Joyce'? I'll probably get rap across the knuckles for having a pop at Joyce now! Perhaps not.


Whilst I am writing this blog entry, I keep checking Youtube to see if any more clips have surfaced. You would think that with all those people using their phones to film, EVERY song from EVERY concert would find it's way onto Youtube, but that doesn't seem to be the case. It is probably just as well, or my humiliation of Gt Yarmouth in 2009 would be there for all the world to see.

I still can't believe the setlist that is on this tour. I desperately hope that Trouble Loves Me stays. I thought from what Fifi had said, that it wouldn't be sung again after Santa Ana, but I get the feeling that Moz is really enjoying singing it. It's almost as though this is the 'Unofficial Blue Rose Tour'. Bear  with me whilst I just watch Trouble again:



Saturday night at the LA Sports Arena was apparently a rough place to be, with even battle hardened war horses like Vulgar Angie and Jazissey finding it hard going, but I can't believe that it was any different to Manchester in 2012, where we literally could not move an inch for the whole concert..... although I did manage to find just enough room to blow up my inflatable red rose! Oh, happy days. Dear Moz, COME BACK TO THE UK..... PLEASE!

By all accounts, Tom Jones was on top form on Saturday night, with It's Not Unusual being a highlight for many people. Both Louis Theroux and Kimberly Kane attended the concert on Saturday, although I am presuming not together, and I am also presuming neither of them were there in a professional capacity. It would be great to have Theroux investigate the secrets of MorrisseysWorld, but of course he will be blissfully unaware. They are ALL blissfully unaware. It has been announced over the weekend that a new biopic is to be made later this year about Morrissey's pre-Smiths life in Manchester. It is provisionally called Steven. Perhaps Kimberly Kane has been asked to play Moz! It is not known at this stage if Morrissey has given his backing to the project.

I will move on from the Californian concerts now, but I had to laugh when I saw a clip of Moz singing Asleep on Saturday night. At 2 mins 40, you can see that Moz is lost in the emotion of the song, where as Boz is picking something off his fingers. You've got to love musicians.


Does Johnny Marr sing Asleep, and if so, does he lose himself in the lyric, or does he concentrate on playing the guitar? I've never really understood how anybody can do both. If you are singing a song, and truly meaning what you sing, then how can you possibly think about what notes to play? Mind you, what would I know, I can't do either! I am actually looking forward to seeing JM, and I will definitely attend open minded, but I just cannot believe that listening to Marr and his band singing/playing Smiths songs, can be anywhere near as good as hearing Morrissey and his band singing/playing Smiths songs. It just can't be, but Johnny IS a fantastic guitar player, and so is Boz Boorer.






THE MORRISSEY BAND - SATURDAY NIGHT IN LA

The comments being left on the MorrisseysWorld blog have all but dried up. There are now 48 out of a target of 1000. Any thought that the masses would come running to the MW blog once Morrissey had sung Trouble Loves Me were misguided. Any thoughts that the masses would come running once Morrissey had sung Trouble whilst wearing a BLUE ROSE were further misguided. Any thoughts that the masses would come running once Morrissey had sung Trouble whilst sporting a blue shirt revealing a sweat shaped heart were even further further misguided. The masses ain't coming. We remain a secret. Not through choice, but a secret no less. Despite me writing about MorrisseysWorld for the past 971 days, the masses don't even know that MW or the BRS exist. Quite a few hardcore Morrissey fans know we exist, but they will NEVER believe that Morrissey is involved, and have no interest in being convinced otherwise. Dickie Felton is a prime example, he just isn't interested.

I have no idea why any fan of Morrissey, who is prepared to fly half way around the world to see him sing, would have NO interest in interacting with him on twitter. Rosy Mires once said that she would eat her hat if Morrissey ever sung Trouble Loves Me, but even through he has now sung it three times in a row, and whilst wearing a BLUE ROSE, Rosy STILL won't accept what is right in front of her eyes, and she has followed the whole phenomenal story from the start. These people just don't want to believe the truth. To quote Jack Nicholson, they can't handle the truth. Personally, I believe it is a fear. Morrissey is their untouchable God, and to talk to him, would be to make him mortal, and they don't want their God to be mortal. They want him up on his Mount, preaching through word of song, and NOTHING more.


MORRISSEY - ISSUED A CODE BLUE

True-To-You have now announced that WORLD PEACE IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS will be released as a digital download tomorrow. It would appear that the release has been brought forward by a day, which would suggest that Morrissey wants to maximise sales to get a better chart position, although thinking about it, that can't be the case, or otherwise a physical version would have been released at the same time.

I wrote last week that WPINOYB could be Number 1 on Morrissey's birthday, but the reality is, there isn't a cat in hells chance of the single even charting. These days, unless Capitol FM play your song, or unless you have collaborated with Will.I.Am, or David Guetta, or Calvin Harris, or Rihanna, you haven't got a chance of having a hit. I also believe that a number of Morrissey's fans won't actually bother purchasing the song at this stage, and instead will wait for the whole LP, or for the physical version of the song. Many fans will have downloaded the live version of WPINOYB from Youtube, and will be content to listen to that (and other concert versions) until July.

Morrissey released Satellite of Love as just a download initially, and I think I am right in thinking that it only reached the chart (Number 124) once the physical version came out. Maybe I am completely wrong, and WPINOYB will sail into the Top 40, but I really doubt it. The song is far superior to anything currently in the chart, but then again, bearing in mind the lyrics, it would be quite apt for it NOT to chart. If the masses aren't being told to buy it, they won't buy it. I wonder how many people have seen the WPINOYB posters that are going up in major cities all over the world, and have bothered to investigate what they relate to? *Goes off to google 'World Peace is None of Your Business Poster'* It would appear that NOBODY has written anything about the poster campaign. WHAT is wrong with people? Has nobody got an inquisitive mind anymore? No wonder MorrisseysWorld wasn't discovered!




Although I don't believe WPINOYB will make the Top 40, it might be a different story for the release of Istanbul next week, IF Morrissey doesn't sing it this week. The fact that the song has NEVER been heard might be enough to get people parting with 99p out of curiosity. Time, as ever, will tell. I should of course make it clear that I still fully expect Steve Barnett to get WPINOYB to Number 1 in the album chart.

Hmmm, where do I start? Do I start with the fact that Morrissey's new single and promo video are OUT, or do I start with something far more personal to our small little community? Easy.

At last, at last, at last..... Youtube footage has emerged of Morrissey receiving the BLUE ROSE in Santa Ana, and not only does he receive the rose, he seems to serenade it, before proudly placing it in his top pocket to display to the world. How much MORE blatant could Morrissey make it? MORRISSEY SUPPORTS THE BLUE ROSE SOCIETY..... but the world can't see.



Even more important than the footage of Morrissey receiving the rose during Yes, I Am Blind, is the footage of him WEARING his BLUE ROSE during Trouble Loves Me; the anthem song of the BRS. This truly IS a special moment for the Blue Rose Society. To the masses it means nothing, to US it means EVERYTHING. Thanks to mozboy76 for posting on Youtube:

Right then, now I can move onto World Peace Is None Of Your Business. I lay in bed last night watching concert videos, and then at midnight, I just couldn't get World Peace Is None Of Your Business out of my head...... so I downloaded it....... and have continued to play it on repeat ever since.

 This morning, I discovered that a promo video had also been added to i tunes. The video stars Moz sitting at a piano wearing a tux, reciting (not singing) the words to WPINOYB. Nancy Sinatra enters the room and gives Morrissey a brief case containing white flowers (lilies?) and the written words of WPINOYB. It has been noted by a number of the BRS members, that the video is very surreal and 'Lynch Like'. Perhaps it is Morrissey's version of the Black Lodge from Twin Peaks. A surreal dream, with a sinister looking Nancy giving the maestro a message that he has to pass on to the people of the world. The maestro looks surprised as he opens the brief case. WHAT can the lilies mean? I can't help but wonder what would have happened today if that video had appeared with Moz wearing a BLUE ROSE...... actually, probably NOTHING!





MORRISSEY - FROM THE PROMO VIDEO OF WPINOYB

The song itself is just gripping. It is a really strong political message, with Morrissey singing from the point of view of an unknown world leader, mocking the masses for continuing to do what they are told to do, without ever questioning why. As we in the BRS know, both Bollock Obama and Tony Bliar have been named by Our Mozzer as the possible world leader in question, but it could be any of them. As Morrissey wrote in his TTY statement last November , "I believe that the most powerful vote you can give is No vote; for the days of Prime Ministers have gone, and it's time for a form of change that is far more meaningful than simply switching blue to red." And of course Moz is right, whilst people continue to vote, the system CANNOT change, it is only when NOBODY votes, that a change HAS to come about.

Broken has also informed us that WPINOYB is Morrissey's anti NWO song. There are of course parallels with the whole MorrisseysWorld phenomenon. Nobody believed that MW was Morrissey because there was no Government minister available to tell them to believe! Even Morrissey wasn't there to tell them to believe..... so they didn't believe!

And on the subject of the MorrisseysWorld blog, the last entry now has 51 comments, so just 949 to go until we get another article! 51 is also the chart position that WPINOYB is currently at in the UK ITunes chart (time now 1 pm). It was at No.93 at 10 am this morning, so it's on the climb. Maybe I was wrong yesterday, when I said it wouldn't make the chart. Janice Long gave it it's first play last night on Radio 2, but will any other radio station play it? Surely the lyrics would care them. I expect Janice has already been told not to play it again.



HOLLAND PARK LONDON

The excitement surrounding the release of WPINOYB was electric in The Twitterdilly Arms yesterday, and even Mademoiselle Fifi took the time to pop into The Arms very briefly, to give us a link to iTunes in New Zealand, (where the single was released first) and instructed us to "listen".... so we did!

Mademoiselle Fifi also responded to my question as to whether or not I should buy her a ticket to accompany me to watch Johnny Marr in Portsmouth in August. She said, "No purchase necessary for me, either I get in for free or will be denied entry. It's a gamble." She also added, "Have you suddenly been upgraded to my + 1?" before then adding, "I'll think about it. And I will obviously dress up." I informed M.Fifi that I too would dress up, in pink, and that if we are denied access we could always go and have a drink in the Lady Hamilton. M.Fifi replied, "The style might work for the gig but it won't go down too well at Lady Hamilton's."

"I'll think about it"! I am already starting to picture me and Moz watching Johnny Marr from the back of the Wedgewood Rooms. It could happen. No, it couldn't happen! It could! No, it couldn't!...... sorry, I just went in to one of my self help therapy moments. Perhaps this is my surreal Black Lodge moment. Mind you, I think the Black Lodge is bigger than the Wedgewood Rooms.

Before leaving The Arms, Mademoiselle Fifi spoke to Willow regarding the new single, saying, "I knew you'd enjoy a bit of tambourine" and also told Heather and GWO, "Enjoy the new single tomorrow, the other songs will be released soon enough", which suggests that the rumour is true about Istanbul and Earth Is The Loneliest Planet being released within the next few weeks.

Erica Calil has pulled off another great find, discovering an article regarding the photo of the wall with WORLD PEACE IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS written on it. Unfortunately the article is written in Spanish.... or is it Portuguese? It's foreign!

UPDATE 07:40 am: Absolutely NO information is coming through from El Paso, except for an instagram clip showing Moz leaving the building. Somebody called 'B' has left a comment saying that the show was stopped because the security in the front row were being violent towards the fans, but as to whether this was the case or not, who knows. So whilst we wait for events to unfold, I will report on something far more important than an abandoned Morrissey concert, Our Mozzer's visit yesterday to The Twitterdilly Arms. After all, this blog was created for Our Mozzer and NOT Morrissey.

I was unable to join in with the conversation, but I was able to peek in through the window, so here are the highlights:

2am (9am UK) "I was trying to get on stage and was getting manhandled by security. He (Moz) shook my hand and said "I'm sorry and left. Morrissey stopped tonight's gig because his security were getting rough with me & possibly one other fan. He shook my hand and apologised. I tried to get on stage. I didn't get near him at first but Moz thought they were hurting me & stopped then shook my hand. I tried to get on stage. The security wrestled with my head and neck a bit. Moz didn't like it and stopped. I'm fine. "

2.45am (9.45am UK) "I really didn't mean to ruin anyone's night. From what I can tell Moz just didn't like the look of it and stopped to apologise. I have a little neck soreness but nothing I won't shake off. I'm at El Paso airport and flying back to LA. The trip moves on. I was being persistent, I was in a neck hold at one point. So, it would appear that it was all a bit of a storm in a tea-cup, and nothing that you wouldn't expect at any Morrissey concert. What Euan has got dreadfully mixed up is that it was NOT Morrissey's security roughing him up, that was the venue security. There is a BIG difference. Having said that, having watched the video of the incident, I had to chuckle at Liam hauling that guy off around the neck, because he is one of the people who had a go at me in New York for bringing roses. That guy (Anthony?) jumps on stage a lot, and if you jump on The Mozzer's stage, you have to be prepared for the defensive midfield pairing of  Nammock and Joannides..... they DON'T take prisoners; although if they did take prisoners, then they would hand the prisoners to be looked after by the slightly psychotic prison warder, Knutson! It's a lose lose situation.

It is rather ironic that Euan has mentioned liking the backdrop. Euan, old son, the backdrop is a MorrisseysWorld sign! OPEN YOUR EYES AND WAKE UP TO WHAT YOU ARE MISSING. If only Euan, Dickie, and the rest of their group had realised that the Blue Rose Society and MorrisseysWorld is the work of Morrissey, then this tour could have been so, so much more fulfilling for them, but like all the others, they had their chance, but chose NOT to believe.

I will return later with more from Our Mozzer's visit to The Twit Arms, and hopefully some more news from El Paso. I will also give news on how World Peace Is None Of Your Business is currently fairing in the UK iTunes chart.

UPDATE 3:05 pm: Resident BRS Detective, Erica Calil, has been kind enough to translate the Brazilian magazine article that I wrote about yesterday, with regard to the WPINOYB wall. Here is what Erica has to say, "The picture was taken at La Fabrique Studios by the producer Tiago Abrahão. Tiago was advised to keep it secret until Morrissey had disclosed the cover of WPINOYB."

And on the subject of WPINOYB, the new website that I wrote about a few weeks ago has gone LIVE. WorldPeaceIsNoneOfYourBusiness.Com seems to be offering the new LP, signed books, Box Sets, Fanified Posters and all sorts of other goodies, but as it isn't available in the UK, I can't be totally sure!




There is however, NO news on the new website MorrisseysWorld.Com, which still links into TTY. Has there been a massive backtrack on this idea, or is Moz waiting until EVERYBODY knows about the BRS before launching it as the official take over of Solow? The ONLY reason that any decent Morrissey fan would go to Solow, is to get a setlist, and to read comments from fellow fans, but a new site offering the same thing in a friendly environment would easily kill Solow. The majority of people who continue to use Solow are NOT fans, they are critics. They seem to only get pleasure out of having a go at Morrissey, so WHY bother? WHY?

The main Solow moderator, Uncle Skinny, posted this yesterday about the new single, "I find it plodding, one-dimensional, and uninspiring. Not a quantum leap in quality." This man hasn't had anything positive to write about Morrissey in years, so WHY does he hang around? WHY doesn't he just look in a mirror and say, "do you know what Peter old son, I don't actually like Morrissey's songs anymore, so I'll do something else with my life rather than keep visiting a website every day just to keep telling everybody I don't like him anymore"?

Anyway, enough about Solow, although a number of BRS members have been drawn back to Solow by a commentator on there called Brummie Boy, who some are suggesting might be Moz. I barely have the time to write this blog, follow the tour, and write about Our Mozzer, let alone trawl Solow for possible Morrissey pessoa's, so I will have to take their word for it regarding Brummie Boy. If anybody wants to post any of his words on here, then please do.

Let the fun and frolics begin. Yesterday, at 7.47 pm UK time, Morrissey 'officially' joined twitter. After 5 years without a single tweet, the account '@ItsMorrissey' brushed off it's cobwebs, and sprung into life saying, "Hello. Testing, 1, 2, 3. Planet Earth, are you there? One can only hope...". As tweets go, it was hardly in the same league as anything that Our Mozzer has ever tweeted, but it sent the masses wild with excitement.

Despite having not tweeted for 5 years, the @ItsMorrissey account still had 77,800 followers attached to it, simply because it has the official twitter tick, and within half an hour of that first tweet, 700 more followers were added, which bearing in mind that Our Mozzer has posted 3,463 mesmerizing tweets and only has 645 followers is just ridiculously unbelievable.... although of course, it is NOT unbelievable, it is expected. We all KNEW it would happen this way. The masses are sheep, they only believe in officialdom.

That small blue twitter tick has more power than any word. Ed Miliband and David Cameron will have millions of people voting for them next year because they wear the badge of officialdom. If Ed Miliband were an independent candidate in you local constituency, he would lose his deposit money. He wouldn't hold the interest of three men and a dog in his local pub, and yet he will attract the vote of most of those earning less than £20,000 a year, whilst David Cameron will pull the vote of 'Middle Britain' and the rich elite, simply on the basis of his tie being blue, and each time you vote, you support this process.

The song World Peace Is None Of Your Business is as powerful a song as Meat Is Murder. I have been listening to it on repeat all day, and apart from the fact that the production of the song is stunning, the lyrics are as powerful as any lyric Morrissey has written EVER. I am already picturing a video being played whilst the song is sung on stage, with the video depicting people placing their vote into the ballot box, whilst politicians laugh, point and drink champagne. This song could become "The Times They Are a-Changin'" of the new millennium.

Within an hour of that first tweet by @ItsMorrissey, the follower numbers were up to 90,000, and by the time I went to bed at 10pm, they had reached 115,000, helped in no small measure by the fact that Russell Brand, with his 7.79 million followers, posted a tweet saying, "The real Morrissey, @itsmorrissey on twitter. If there is such a thing as real Morrissey or real twitter. Hash tag thereisalight."






Russell used the words, "The real Morrissey", which is what I have been calling him in this bliog for MONTHS, in fact, YEARS! Russell knows! But then again, we've always known that Russell knows.

I awoke this morning to find that @ItsMorrissey had posted a second tweet yesterday; three hours after the first one, it said, "Follow, follow, follow. Twitter is the perfect metaphor for...something. Dunno what." The follower numbers had also increased by 55,000 whilst I slept, and by 9am that figure had risen another 10,000 to 180,000. By 2.30pm, once the media had started reporting "Morrissey's first tweet", the followers were up to 219,000. The power of the tick. The power of the media.

The use of the word "Dunno" in the tweet immediately created a debate as to whether it was really Morrissey behind the account, with some saying, "Morrissey would never use the word "Dunno"", but when it was pointed out that Morrissey did use the word "dunno", in the lyrics of Still Ill, the "Morrissey would never" brigade rejoiced, and screamed, "It IS The Mozziah, it IS."

Morrissey himself has yet to make any sort of official comment as to whether he himself is behind this sparkly new twitter account, but according to a report on the Pitchfork website, "A rep has confirmed that it is indeed Morrissey Tweeting. Over on Morrissey's Facebook page, it says "twitter.com/itsmorrissey Feel free to reach out." It also has a photo of Morrissey reaching out:



Somebody calling themselves 'Betty', left this comment on my blog last night regarding the 'reaching out' photo on Morrissey's Facebook account, "His official facebook account posted the link to the @itsmorrissey twitter account with a photo of Moz reaching for the hands of the audience and it says "feel free to reach out". Reminds me of that tweet from Fifi saying reach for the hand. I wonder if they're (harvest) doing that so we know moz knows about brs or if it's just coincidence?? "

Betty is of course correct about the Fifi tweet. On May 8, BEFORE official Moz mentioned "reach out", Fifi posted this:




The Fifi tweet gets added to the very long list of 'Coincidences' that have occurred on this whole phenomenal journey.

I have no idea if it is Morrissey himself using the @Itsmorrissey account, but there are two things that make me question that it may not actually be Moz; firstly, I sent a message to Banjaxer a couple of weeks ago saying that I wish somebody would get rid of the old @ItsMorrissey account, and secondly, in that second tweet of @Itsmorrissey, there is NO GAP after the three ...'s. Morrissey would NEVER not leave a gap.

Perhaps the 'official' Morrissey twitter account is a social experiment to see if people will believe anything they are told..... or perhaps, the account has risen from the flames to simply help sell records and merchandise!

And on that subject, yesterday I received an email from the marketing people, offering all sorts of wonderful packages for World Peace Is None of Your Business. I chose the 'Uber Deluxe Bundle' for £69.99 which includes; the vinyl LP with digital card, standard CD, album litho and lyrics, Deluxe Digital Album, T-shirt and a poster featuring your and other fan's names! The price rose to £75.69 by the time postage was added on, but I'd have happily paid £1000 for this bundle if it meant that Mozzer could maintain the lifestyle to which he has become accustomed. God only knows what name will go on the 'Fan Poster', because there was no option to choose a name. By purchasing this bundle, it also means I have purchased the song WPINOYB again, but if it helps Mozzer get into the chart, I would happily pay to download it another fifty times.

Anyway, enough about chart positions, official twitter accounts, album bundles, WPINOFB being the strongest song Morrissey has ever written, Russell Brand and anything else that I may have written about already today, I have a FAR more important subject to write about, and NO, I don't mean Morrissey's concert in Albuquerque last night, I am referring to the visit yesterday of Our Mozzer to The Twitterdilly Arms. In fact there were a couple of visits, including one after the new official account had been launched.

All the BRS members piled into the World's Number 1 online Morrissey theme pub, and an impromptu party was thrown. Unfortunately, I was SO tired from having blogged all day, that I just couldn't muster the energy to join in, so I left. I fully expected Our Mozzer to have deleted his account by this morning, like he usually does, but he hasn't, it is still there, and from what I have read, I think that we may be in for some very exciting times now that there are TWO Morrisseys' in town. Here are Our Mozzer's highlights:

If this actually happens, and 'Official' Morrissey and 'Parody' Morrissey converse on twitter, Morrissey will be creating something that NOBODY else has EVER done. It would be surreal. Nobody would of course believe that Prody Moz was the real Morrissey, but once the penny dropped..... WOW!

Alternatively, if Morrissey decides to simply fade out Parody Moz, and instead take Our Mozzer's twitter wit to the masses via @itsmorrissey, then he will become the most followed person on twitter. At this point people would surely link the wit to the old parody account, and the genius of the three year lead up to this point would come spilling out, in no short means thanks to FTM. People would be left dumbfounded by it all. It works for Morrissey either way; genius interaction with his parody self, or the modern day Wilde on twitter.

It may be that The Twit Arms has served as the equivalent of an old Working Men's Club, and we may have been the small audience, watching Morrissey cut his teeth on the Twit circuit, before he hits the big time. Some of the BRS may be horrified if we were to lose Our Mozzer, but it would be very selfish for us to keep him to ourselves. Personally, I feel it is time for the world to be treated to what we have had, and I would be excited by whatever way Morrissey decides to play it. But will M want to play it, or is he happy to keep Parody Moz under the radar? Time, as ever..... back to those highlights:

It has taken me so long to write today's blog, that thankfully, some concert footage and photos have emerged from last night's concert at the Sunshine Theatre in Albuquerque. I have no idea on the setlist, but the footage looks superb. There is also, AT LAST,  some footage of Kristeen Young, and watching/listening to her sing the new album songs live has actually brought tears to my eyes. The Knife Shift has not been taken out of the CD player in my car since it arrived. It is one of THE best albums I have ever bought. If I'm honest, I am shocked at just how much I like this album, and I cannot wait to see the songs live, although WHEN this will happen, God only knows.

A clip of Morrissey singing Swinging on a Star has also appeared on Youtube this morning. I am presuming it is from 2009, when Moz often sang this song. I have not seen a clip of it before, and I missed it being sung in Gt Yarmouth in 2009 because I had already left the concert..... not by choice!


@RFerdenzi posted on twitter that the Swinging On a Star video was from last night's concert, but you can tell that it isn't because Morrissey is now MUCH slimmer:




STOP PRESS: I have just dragged Fifi into the loos of The Twit Arms, and have slapped her with a wet plimsoll, to get her to talk..... and it worked. She was referring to the editors notes on iTunes, released to them by Harvest, and she is right, NOBODY has picked up on what is written there about Istanbul and I'm not a Man. Here is what it says:

MorrisseysWorld has GONE, with Parody Moz (@MorrisseyParody) announcing in 'The Arms' this morning, "If Morrissey wants me to return to Twitter, he knows what he has to do. Rat will report it on his blog."

The MorrisseysWorld blog had already closed yesterday evening, and the twitter account followed suit straight after the above tweet was posted at 7.15 am (4.14 am Utah time) this morning.

Also this morning, I deleted EVERY entry from this blog of mine; or at least I have put every entry away in a dark cupboard, and like Our Mozzer, I will only bring them back if Morrissey asks me to. MorrisseysWorld is dead, and FollowingTheMozziah has lost it's memory.

MORRISSEY ON STAGE IN ALBUQUERQUE

I am sincerely hoping that the closure of MorrisseysWorld will be the cue for Morrissey to start tweeting from the @itsmorrissey twitter account, because at the moment, all we are getting from 'Official Morrissey' is corporate tweets. There was initial excitement two days ago, when it was announced by Pitchfork that Morrissey was tweeting from the @itsmorrissey account himself, but that excitement has subsided with these latest tweets; although the follower numbers haven't, they have now risen to 248,000.


With all the evidence from MW and FTM now gone, the decks are clear for Morrissey to start tweeting from the @itsmorrissey account in the style that we have been used to for the past three years, i.e, as HIMSELF.... whoever himself actually is! If Morrissey does start to tweet, it surely won't be long until somebody somewhere starts to put two and two together, and works out that MorrisseysWorld must have been Morrissey after all. Oh the irony, if all those non believers start trying to convince everybody that MW was Morrissey after all. There will be no evidence to support their claim. It will also dawn on people that if MW was Moz, then he must be behind the BRS too, but again, there will be no evidence to support their claims. I am salivating at the very thought.


MORRISSEY WEARING HIS BLUE ROSE IN SANTA ANA

I will continue to write my blog in the same style as I always have, and our little band of outsiders will be able to share our observations and thoughts, but I shall probably delete each entry after 24 hours, including this one. Nobody will be able to prove anything, it will all be speculation.

I started writing this blog to chart the phenomenal story of MorrisseysWorld, not to start a new Morrissey fan site. I have enjoyed posting Youtube clips from concerts, but ultimately people can find these for themselves, they don't need me to share them. I will continue to write only if something emerges from a concert that is either MW or Blue Rose Society related, and that could very well start tonight, as the BRS Vice President, Vulgar Angie attempts to hand Morrissey a BLUE ROSE on stage at the rather grand looking Kingsbury Hall in Salt Lake City in Utah.
