Day 1523 - You'll Be Back

Morrissey's concert in Santiago last night has turned-up on Youtube, and I have been watching it over and over again; mainly because it has a near perfect set*: Suedehead, Alma, This Charming Man, YES, THIS CHARMING MAN, Speedway, Ganglord, World Peace, Kiss Me, Paris, Earth, You'll Be Gone, YES, YOU'LL BE GONE IS BACK *waves palm leaves and sings Hosanna*, How Soon Is Now?, First of the Gang, Oboe, Bullfighter, Meat, Will Never Marry, Far-off Places, Jack the Ripper, YES, JACK THE SODDING RIPPER, Sunday and What She Said.

FOOTAGE MISSING THE FIRST 3.75 SONGS

WHAT A CONCERT! There were so, so many highlights, but for me, the top songs were: Suedehead, Ganglord, You'll be Gone, How Soon, Oboe, Never Marry and Jack. At the encore Moz started to sing Frank Sinatra's You'll Never Know, but stopped after just a few words when interrupted by a member of the audience. The crowd were lively, the band were superb, there were new backdrops, and Klaus Nomi's Death was played at the end... How I dearly wish I was not here!

One person who was there, was WPINOYB producer, Joe Chiccarelli, who today tweeted, "Moz delivered last night in Santiago. Great show!"

There is nothing whatsoever to report from MorrisseysWorld, and there is no sign of the List of the Lost audio book that was promised by the Morrissey59 instagram account. It would appear that it really is a fake!

And finally, my friendship with Warhol Superstar, Joe Dallesandro, continues to grow, with him even 'liking' a few songs and pictures I have tweeted. Yesterday I linked Joe a copy of one of his films, Born Winner, in which he rides a motorbike. He tweeted to tell me, "I also rode a bike in 'Merry Go Round' 1979 film with director Jacques Rivette." I asked Joe if it was any good, to which he replied, "It was a peculiar film, you tell me." I watched Joe's Flesh For Frankenstein yesterday, which I found hilarious, so I will make Merry Go Round my next one to watch. I gave up on Born Winner due to the poor dubbing, but I will give that a proper watch at some stage too.

Joe has also tweeted that the infamous Carol Doda has died. I asked Joe if he'd ever met Doda, to which he replied, "From the back of a room."

The Loveless Go-Go Bar has a lot to thank this true pioneer for.

*There is no such thing as a 'perfect' Morrissey set, as there would always be classic songs missing.

Day 1525 - Morrissey's blue rose of '99

On this day in 1999 I went to watch Morrissey in concert at The Kentish Town Forum in London, but there is something from that tour that I didn't discover until earlier today, and I feel it will be of particular interest to the Blue Rose Society.

Before I get onto my BRS related discovery, let me have a quick reminisce of that evening of 16 years ago. Even though it was November, I remember The Forum being extremely hot, and the concert was electric; with Moz, the band and the audience all really up for it. The set was incredible; starting with You're Gonna Need Someone On Your Side, and also including: Billy Budd, Is it Really So Strange?, Hairdresser on Fire (which is pretty special played in London), Speedway, November Spawned a Monster, Lost, Tomorrow, Now My Heart is Full and an encore of Last Night I Dreamt That Somebody Loved Me. Also in the set was the song; which since November 2011 has been known as the official anthem of the Blue Rose Society, Trouble Loves Me. It really was an INCREDIBLE concert, and unfortunately there is no Youtube footage of it, but there is footage of the other nights played at The Forum, and they look equally as good:

And again, before I get onto my BRS related discovery of this morning, let me give a quick reminder as to why Trouble Loves Me was adopted as the official anthem of the Blue Rose Society. When the whole MorrisseysWorld phenomenon was in full flow, I wrote a blog article on November 6th 2011, explaining that the one song that those following the MorrisseysWorld phenomenon kept posting on Twitter (or Twitterdilly as we called it), was Trouble Loves Me. That same day, Our Mozzer appeared on Twitter and re-posted my blog entry, before then tweeting about Trouble Loves Me, and also posting a video of it - this was his adoption of the song as our theme tune, which I then blogged about the next day.

We had to wait until May 2014 before seeing Moz sing Trouble whilst wearing a blue rose, but it was worth the wait!

And whilst I am mentioning how Trouble Loves Me was adopted as our theme tune, perhaps I should also remind my readers of the night Our Mozzer actually formed the Blue Rose Society; although at that stage, it was just a 'Secret Rose Society', with blue rose added at a later date. It was November 4th 2011, that Our Mozzer held court in the MW Chat room, and explained to those present that Oscar Wilde and his followers had all worn green carnations, and he (Morrissey) thought that "it would be fun to create a so called secret society that doesn't really exist".

Anyway, let me get to the point of this blog entry, which is as I mentioned in my opening sentence, is BRS related, and dates back to that UK tour of 1999. This morning, as I searched ebay for a vinyl copy of You Are the Quarry (which I only have on CD), I stumbled across a 1999 Morrissey tour poster being sold, which depicts a man holding.... a BLUE ROSE! I bet even Morrissey had forgotten this. Jigsaw, jigsaw, jigsaw.

There has been no sign of Morrissey on Twitter in recent days, but on Tuesday, Joe Dallesandro tweeted, "We'll leave the light on for you" accompanied by a video of There is a Light That Never Goes Out. Joe seems to know his Smiths!

And finally, whilst doing some research for today's blog, I stumbled across an old parody piece that I posted on December 2nd 2011. It may even have been my first ever parody, I can't remember. Anyway, it is particularly witty - telling the tale of how Ernie (Morrissey) & Cecil (Russell Brand) are informed about an injury to Matt Walker's eye - and as it has only ever received 68 hits and NO comments, I feel it deserves to see the light of day: One in the Eye.

STOP PRESS - 5.15PM UPDATE

Following publishing of today's blog entry, Jaz left a comment to say that she recognised the 1999 tour poster as being a still from a film entitled The Blue Rose, a short film made by the Kris Studios in Chicago in 1965. Jaz also remembered that Broken had mentioned this film some time ago.

I still think that Our Mozzer had forgotten about the use of the still from The Blue Rose for that 1999 tour poster, but it really is quite a remarkable link.

And whilst I'm here, and mentioning blue roses, I thought I would post Jenni TaonemozilchHM's great BRS video that is on Youtube. I first posted it on Day1460, but it has since been updated:

PROLOGUE
______________________________

Once upon a time, maybe it was only yesterday, maybe it was before, I won’t tell you the details, there was a beautiful boy.

He was very tall, very slender, very strong. And very handsome. I know his face. I will always remember his face, because his face is emblazoned across my mind. His story - was never tattooed above anybody’s heart. But perhaps it will be now.

This beautiful boy lived alone with his father, in a small village, in a country you don’t know. A place in the countryside, a place with hard work, and a hard life. There were vineyards. There was a marble quarry. And there was a gold mine. There may have even been two. This is what work there was. Work in the fields, work in the quarry, or work in the mines. Small village. Back-breakingly hard work. A life with few mercies, and with little forgiveness.

There were no girls. No girls to speak of, in any case. And certainly no boys. There was work. And then there was home. At home there was more work, and at home there was father. Mother died. His mother died when he was young.

Backgammon. Cards. Chess. The radio.

Nights with no lights. Summertime nights spent outside. Only stars, and crickets. And wolves howling in the hills. Wild dogs and wolves, and sometimes, the stench of animal excrement from the pig farm, slicing through the night air and heaving in everyone’s nostrils, with the sharpness of knives. The smell of suffocating excrement tonight, only as silent precursor to the strangulating promise of incipient death.

A cigarette end burns in the darkness, but around it, pitch black. The night hides everything.

Creaking cellar doors. A bat in the cubbyhole. Wine barrels made of oak. Each one, made by hand.

Have you ever had freshly pressed, unfermented, unpasteurized grape juice? Freshly separated from the pomace? No. I didn’t think you had. Vinum mustum. It’s absolutely exquisite.

A sweetest kind of sweetness. A sweetness without end, a fizz without beginning, a taste without time. The taste of oxygen. The taste of the sweetest naked fruit. Its vital essence, and nothing more. The ancient Greeks used to say that this freshly pressed juice is not only the secret to longevity, but in fact the very secret to life itself. It only exists for a single week or so each year. Then once the juice starts to ferment, its singular regenerative properties are completely gone. So it is also the taste of - life. And everything has a taste, all its own.

Do you know my taste? Do you know the taste of my bite? My bite tastes like sour cherries. Like sweet, tart, sweet tart, but very sweet, tart, sweet sour cherries. You’ll have to take my word for it, on this one. Just trust me.

Trust me now, trust me never.

GRAPES
______________________________

When large oak barrels are made by hand, for a wine cellar, for the wine to ferment in, a tap, a spigot, any kind of faucet by which to extract the wine, would be a weak spot in the barrel. A weak spot where any pressure could be enough to make it burst.

Instead, a large barrel is constructed, and shaped, and built by hand. The wood is tenderized – this isn’t what it’s called - but it may as well be. Tenderized, and then cajoled into shape. Cajoled, but with a very knowing, very firm, and very experienced hand.

Because nothing in life can come by force. Or by spurious guile. Nothing worth having, in any case.

And certainly nothing worth wanting.

NO WINE FOR YOU. DON’T CRY FOR ME
___________________________________

A solid barrel is constructed by hand, and there is nowhere for the wine to come out. Instead, a small hole is left at the top. Ferment me this way. Ferment me that way. Whatever you do, don’t ferment me wrong. Don’t ferment me too long.

If you ferment it wrong, it turns to syrup. Too long? Too short? Not enough? A thick, thick, THICK, syrupy syrup. No wine for you. Don’t cry for me.

If fermented too long, it must be poured into demijohns, and shaken, shaken, shaken. To separate once more, and to undo what’s been done. A moment too long, a moment too soon – and it was all for nothing. It’s now all wrong. It’s now all gone.

Can you ever undo, what’s already been done? Can you ever undo, what’s already been undone?

MORNING
______________________________

Father made lunch for his beautiful son one morning. This morning. That morning. Any morning. Every morning. The summer air wasn’t hot yet, the morning inside the house still cool, with the promise of the day still yet to unfurl. Just like every other morning. Sandwiches. Sandwiches wrapped in white paper table napkins. Everything in the kitchen, white.

Everything that is white is clean, new, pure.

Untouched. Untainted. Unknowing.

The beautiful boy had a weathered, leather bag. A briefcase, in fact. There is a certain solemnity in a briefcase. And there is dignity to be found, in carrying this briefcase.

You scoff? Don’t scoff. Never scoff at a life that you don’t know. Never scoff at a life that you haven’t lived.

The sandwiches, every morning, lovingly made by a father who loved no one else in life – and who had no one else left to love, then went into the weathered, leathered, satchel, on this beautiful, innocent, Adonis-boy’s shoulder. He was goodness incarnate, with a heart as pure as doves’ wings.

This morning, the beautiful brown haired boy with his piercing blue eyes, didn’t come back into the kitchen. Where is he? Where is he? I’ve looked everywhere. Now he’ll really be late!

Is he in the vegetable garden? Has he gone to the grapes, I know there was a problem with the vines. They’re coming in the middle of the night now, this never used to happen in the old days! This never used to happen before! They come in the middle of the night now, and they steal the vines! Right out from the ground. They dig them up, vines that were planted so long ago. So long ago that people say they were planted here by the Romans, when they came and conquered. Veni! Vidi! Vici!

They’re thick, and gnarled, and maybe thousands of years old. You can see the root, because from the root is from where the new vines must be spliced. And you can trace the epochs that this vine has lived with your fingers, and read it, just like you can read the rings of a thousand year old tree.

It’s getting hotter now. It’s not early morning anymore. The sandwiches know it. They’re still sitting on the table. Waiting. Waiting. Waiting. Now starting to limp. And soon to be limping.

Slowly, slowly, slowly, a slight worry turns into something more. A hollow pit in the bottom of the father’s stomach starts to churn. A hollow pit, but a hollow pit now with a density, and with a weight, and with a mass.

Outside, in the sunshine, in the garden all is quiet. All is well. Bright sun. Birds sweetly chirruping.

The somewhat far away, creaking chain of a neighbor’s well suddenly goes SNAP!!! And the metal bucket makes an almighty racket as it clangs and bangs against the sides of the walls, until it violently reaches the very bottom of its length, and the metal chain makes it snap up again. Clanging against the side of the well two last times, for good and final measure.

Midmorning silence. Riotously broken. But only for a moment. Now it’s all quiet again. And the sun still shines.

Bucket back at the bottom of the well. That’s what happens. And that’s where you end up, if you let go too soon. Or if you haven’t secured everything that needs to be secured. Someone just let go of the bucket too soon. That was all it was.

END
______________________________

Into the barn now. It’s more of a storage barn, in fact. Everything to be kept safe and dry. But not for the animals. Well, sometimes for the animals. If there are any strays. In that case, there is always a warm bed for them here, for the winter.

It’s dark and cool in the barn. Shadowy. Morning hasn’t come here yet, because it never does. Not entirely. The sunlight doesn’t fully reach. Safe from the sun, safe from everything. Here, inside, it always takes a moment for the eyes to adjust.

Suddenly, a heart stops. The father is frozen. His insides collide. There is an indescribable collision, of atoms, of neurons, of electrons, of everything a human being is made of. Is this what it was like, when the galaxies collided?

A big bang? The BIG Bang? Except this one happens inside of a human being. The mind stops, time stops, the world stops. But the mind is racing, time is racing, nothing stops.

Everything happening. And everything is not happening at all. All at once, and all at the same time. And the father doesn’t control any of it. It happens inside of him, and yet, he is oblivious.

A statue.

But what felt like an eternity was only a moment ago, because with a heart made of stone that will never beat again the same as it ever did before, as quick as a panther, the father leaps.

From a beam, the beautiful, beautiful boy, everybody’s son, and now nobody’s, - NO…no, not yours! The beautiful boy who was nothing but good, is hanging from his neck.

His body limp, dangling, but not still. An almost imperceptible slight back and forth to the rope. But it’s too late now. And it will always be too late, now.

In his death, he is even more beautiful than he was in life. The outside, merely a reflection in this case, of the inside. Because through his death, he showed his true colors. Through the pain he felt in his heart, through the sacrifice he made in giving up his own life, through the unspeakable agony he knew he would be causing to his own loving, aging father – who has no one else left at all now – the most beautiful boy on earth, showed his true colors.

There was a note. In his jacket pocket. They didn’t find it until later. Carefully folded into three. They were the last words that he would ever write. And these were the last thoughts that he ever had.

“My Father”, it began. “Please forgive me. I love you so much. But they came, and I could not walk away. I tried, but there were too many of them. They gave me a deadline. It was today. And I couldn’t do it. I could not do what they asked.

They told me I had to kill someone. And if I did not do as they said, they would have killed me. There would have been no discussion, no chance, there is no escape.

You know more than anyone else on this earth, that I could never kill someone.

If someone has to die, it will never be by my hand. And so now, instead of killing someone else, the only choice that has been left to me, is for me to kill myself.

Because if I don't kill someone else, they still kill me.

“I’m so sorry, my father. I love you. I will love you always. And now, I will love you into the forever after.”

EPILOGUE
______________________________

You may think this is just a story to be forgotten, at the bottom of a blog. But you’re wrong.

And you may think that you know the color of my heart. But you don’t. And you won’t. And you never will. And if you still think that you do, then you’d still be wrong.

Do you know the color of my heart?
Do you know the color of my art?
Do you know the taste of my sighs? You never will.
Never is a very long time.
And eclipsed in the longer, only by always, by tomorrow, and by time.

In other words – always, tomorrow, and time – will all last longer than my never.

A spasm like no other, my heart was clutched, my heart was wrenched. There is no time now left - the end.

These are the infinites that belong to no one, and to nothing.

And alongside them, I’ll lay down my sleepy head and heart tonight.

With an ever loving lullaby, lying in quiet wait in my heart. For everyone who needed one, when there was one not there

Morrissey headlined Chile's Primavera Fauna festival on Saturday, with the highlights for me being Alma Matters, Kiss Me a Lot, Earth is the Loneliest Planet, You'll Be Gone, How Soon is Now?, Staircase at the University, Meat is Murder, Everyday Is Like Sunday, I'm Throwing My Arms Around Paris and The Queen is Dead.

I'm Throwing My Arms Around Paris was particularly poignant following the mass killings of Friday night, and before singing the song, Morrissey addressed the audience saying, "As you know, as you've heard, the war of religion is upon us, or the religion of war is upon us, and we say 'no thank you. No no no no no no no'."

Mademoiselle Fifi made a rare appearance in The Loveless just after 8pm (UK time) on Sunday night to post a clip of Morrissey's 'Religion & War' speech, which she accompanied with the tweet, "non non non":

Fifi also tweeted me to say, "stop stalking me", which related to a picture I had tweeted of my daily FTM blog audience stats - which showed 24 hits from Chile - and Fifi also tweeted, "Qui? Moi?" in response to my tweet of last week in which I posted links to, "a couple of cracking Fifi related FTM entries: Day 1211  and Day 12..12". It is always a pleasure to see Mademoiselle Fifi in The Loveless.

And also on twitter, I continue to harass Joe Dallesandro. To have him so accessible is too good an opportunity to miss, so until he tells me to leave him alone, I will keep probing him - he is Fascinating! I have had various conversations with him in recent days - here are some highlights:

JD: I worked on a music video shoot with David Bowie back in the late 80's.
ME: Did you get on with Bowie, or did you find him 'showie' like Morrissey did?
JD: I met him through Teddy Antolin who was both of our stylist for many years. Bowie was never 'showie' with me. I think people tend to read into stuff more than it really exists.
ME: Was the Never Let Me Down video shoot the only time you met Bowie?
JD: I met him 1 time. Then we saw each other occasionally in life.

JD: Contrary to what Lou Reed wrote in 'Wild Side' I have been known to give things away just to surprise people that follow my work.
ME: That lyric must have haunted you for years. Do you feel Lou was jealous of you?
JD: No. That song was written as a direction from Paul Morrissey to Lou telling him to watch the films and write. I wasn't even part of the Factory when he wrote it, I was in Europe at the time, so I was a bit taken aback when he said some not so nice things about me but that is his opinion - had nothing to do with me.
ME: That makes a lot of sense. When did you first meet Lou?
JD: He was in and out of the Factory when I was there - after the VU broke up, trying to get Andy or Paul interested in him again. I don't recall saying more than 'hello' once or twice to him. If I never heard it (Walk on the Wild Side) again, I would not miss that lyric.
ME: Understandable, although actually, it is a lyric that undoubtedly introduces people to you, who subsequently find your films.
JD: People knew about my films before the song. But it was cooler for Holly and Candy. They liked it a lot.
ME: That's because they didn't have the career you went on to have. You should embrace the song. The lyric reflects a character.
JD: Lou never said it was about the characters, he always said it was who we were. Holly and Candy spent time with Lou. I did not.
ME: The romance of the lyricist. I still think there are positives that you can take from being in the song.
JD: Are you trying to convince me or yourself?

After 40+ years of hurt, I don't think Walk on the Wild Side is ever going to make Joe's All time Top 3! Joe seems to tweet at all times of day and night. When I commented that he doesn't sleep much, he replied, "Santa Ana's. Trees blowing everywhere. I have to clean it all up. Doesn't matter what time."

Joe has also been tweeting about the times he met the jazz musician Chet Baker. I had never listened to Chet before; he's just never been on my radar, but thanks to Joe's mentioning of him, I spent most of Monday afternoon watching and listening to Chet on Youtube. WHAT a trumpeter. He was just incredible. My thanks to Little Joe.

Astra has left a couple of comments on the last FTM entry as a follow up to comments left by others. Here is her latest comment, which includes further background to her original story:

"Interesting interpretations. I'm very loathe to leave this comment at all, but I'll go against my better judgement on this single occasion. Nothing exists except in the incarnation of each individual's interpretation. Which is why Art does not require elaboration. Ever.

However in light of the darkened spiral that some of you have gone on, may I offer that that was never the point, nor the intention. There is a backstory to the story that made it very apropos this week, but that backstory will keep its secrets. The story is unfortunately true, and was repackaged as part parable, and as metaphor and direct current social commentary following this week's events. That was all.

A pleasant evening to everyone, I think this chapter can be closed.

And now BRASIL, all eyes on you

Always look to tomorrow. There's no time for anything else.

Goodnight"

And as a postscript to Astra's story, I read with great interest today that one of the Parisian suicide bombers of last Friday, Ibrahim Abdeslam, blew himself up whilst killing no one else, which isn't exactly the idea behind being a suicide bomber! Ibrahim's mother is quoted as saying that she is SURE that he would never have planned to kill others, and most mothers know their children. Could it be that Ibrahim killed himself because he couldn't face killing others, and knew that THEY would make him? Had he got in too deep? Was Ibrahim's situation any different to any other 'gang member' who had got in too deep?

And unlike Ibrahim, what of those who did kill others? Some of them are so young that they cannot possibly fully understand what they are doing. The lyrics of Last of the Famous International Playboys have been playing in my mind: "I never wanted to kill, I am not naturally evil, such things I do just to make myself more attractive to you". Attractive to the gang leaders. Attractive to Allah.

Perhaps some of the gang members aren't trying to impress anyone. Perhaps they have simply had enough . It is very easy for us all to simply denounce ISIS, but perhaps the question we should be asking is 'why are these animals angry?' If you poke an animal with a stick, you shouldn't be surprised when it bites you.

And finally....

Day 1529 - Nobody knows me

Theories, signs, conspiracies, concerts, graveyards, bad sex.... it all seems to be going on at the moment, and if I'm honest, my little rat brain is struggling to cope with it all as I flit from one subject to the next - and I also continue to work full time.... well, three days a week, but today happens to be one of those days, and very little work is being done!

Apart from anything else, I desperately want to find time to read the findings of Bruce 'Withnail & I' Robinson who last month, after 15 years of research, published an 850 page book called, They All Love Jack, in which Bruce names one of the former Presidents of my cricket club, Michael Maybrick, as being Jack the Ripper! From what I have discovered so far, it is a FASCINATING theory, but more about that later - or probably in a completely separate blog, as this isn't really the place for it... although as the story is full of Freemason cover-ups, then perhaps this IS the place for it, especially in light of what  Morrissey has published on True-To-You today....

BRUCE 'WITHNAIL' ROBINSON - AUTHOR OF THEY ALL LOVE JACK

*Takes deep breath*

The MorrisseysWorld blog disappeared quite a while ago now, but today some of it's contents have leapt straight into the real world of Morrissey, with Moz posting two videos on his website, True-To-You, under the title of 'Monarchy is Anarchy'.

The videos show how the British Royal Family are interlinked with the New World Order, Freemasonry and everything else that the MorrisseysWorld blog told us about. Morrissey touched on the subject on TTY before, in April 2013, as documented by me on Day 581 of FTM, but it was disguised and therefore missed by the masses.

One of the two videos posted today on TTY is entitled Royal Babylon by Heathcote Williams. This afternoon I carried out some internet research on Heathcote Williams; who I have to confess, I have never heard of before - well why would I, seeing as he isn't on either X Factor or I'm A Celebrity, Throw Me A Fish! - and I was led to the Royal Babylon website, which at the very top of it's home page has the following quote, from none other than Virginia Woolf:

"Can we go on bowing and curtseying to people who are just like ourselves? We begin to wish that the zoo should be abolished; that the royal animals should be given the run of some wider pasturage - a royal Whipsnade. Will the British Empire survive? Will Buckingham Palace look as solid in 2034 as it does now? Words are dangerous things remember. A republic might be brought into being by a poem" - Virginia Woolf in Time and Tide, 1st December 1934

Could that poem be Royal Babylon?

The Woolf quote has parallels to the Morrissey statement placed on TTY of the other day entitled, All the fun of the Circus. My internet research also led me to a 2012 International Times review of Royal Babylon, and very interestingly it cites Morrissey as a fan of the poem. WHEN and WHERE did Morrissey state that he was a fan? I obviously have missed that! It will be interesting to see what reaction we get from Morrissey's posting of the two videos - I predicted in that blog entry of mine from April 2013, that if Morrissey ever declared that he believed a New World Order existed, the media and his 'fans' on Morrissey-Solo would rejoice in the fact that Morrissey had completely and utterly lost the plot. I'm sure they won't disappoint.

HEATHCOTE WILLIAMS

It was announced yesterday that Morrissey's debut novel, List of the Lost, has been nominated for the Literary Review's Bad Sex in Fiction Award for 2015. It will be the 23rd year of the awards, so LotL could become the 23rd pale descendant of Melvyn Bragg's A Time To Dance, which picked up the award in 1993.

Just before 9pm last night, I tweeted that, "It is only right and proper that Morrissey should be awarded for bad sex - hashtag NeverHadNoOne". Half an hour later, Our Mozzer suddenly appeared on Twitter for the first time since October 26th and tweeted, "Bad sex in fiction award? Who said it was fiction?"And then he was gone again, presumably to inform his merry band of musicians that he would be adding Reader Meet Author to the set list that night.... which incidentally, he did!

Our Mozzer currently has just 244 followers, but he has managed to gain himself a third 'celebrity' follower on top of Boy George and Joe Dallesandro *smirks to self* in the form of pop singer, Marilyn. It would appear that Marilyn (@MisterMarilyn) has been introduced to Our Mozzer being on twitter by Joe D, who yesterday tweeted, "I thought you'd at least send flowers not just call my name-- maybe roses? @MisterMarilyn @BRSChairman". "Roses"! It would appear that Joe D not only knows about M being on twitter, but even knows about the Blue Rose Society!

"WHO SAID IT WAS FICTION?" - MOZ IN SÃO PAULO (NICE SHIRT)

I have now run out of time to write about anything else, so there will be no more today on Michael 'Jack the Ripper' Maybrick; who incidentally was not only an alleged mass murderer - who according to Bruce Robinson was protected by the Freemasons to stop him embarrassing the Order, but was also one of the most famous composers of his era, writing as Stephan Adams, and was also the alleged lover of his songwriting partner, Fredric Weatherly. There are books upon books upon books which could be written about Maybrick, and what my brief research has already shown me, is that the hugely respectable Maybrick known on the Isle of Wight, is nothing like the one monster described by Robinson... but Maybrick certainly wouldn't be the first person to have more than one pessoa.

THE GRAVESTONE OF MICHAEL MAYBRICK, WHICH I VISITED THIS MORNING. INSCRIBED ON HIS STONE IS A QUOTE, "THERE SHALL BE NO MORE DEATH".

I also have no time to write about either Morrissey's concert last night in São Paulo; in which Moz sung Let Me Kiss You, or to mention the wonderful Slaves concert that I attended on Monday night - where the mosh pit was manic, and not a camera phone to be seen.

I will sign off with a photo taken in Ecuador. It is another shot of the Morrissey poster with the blue graffiti on, and a great looking house behind. EVERYTHING crumbles eventually.

*Goes off singing* And no one knows a thing about my life, I can come and go as I please, and if I want to, I can stay, oh, or if I want to, I can leave.... nobody knows me, nobody knows me, nobody knows me.

*RETURNS*

FOOT NOTE - One thing that I forgot to write about was a photo that BRS member, Rosy 'Clover Dean' tweeted to me today. It is a photo of a painting/paintings of the original MorrisseysWorld blog logo. I know nothing more about this, other than Rosy tells me the photo was taken by someone called Aly Shaw Simmons.

Day 1531 - Run From My Throwing Arms

I have spent much of the past 3/4 days lost down a rabbit hole, reading many, many articles relating to both Jack the Ripper, and Michael 'Stephen Adams' Maybrick. Although I have not yet read Bruce Robinson's book, They All Love Jack, my sixth sense is telling me that Robinson is right, and Michael Maybrick was indeed Jack. Bruce Robinson has the initials BR, so he has to be right! Our lives are jigsaws.

As Maybrick lived a seemingly exemplary life on the Isle of Wight; where amongst many other things, he was the President of my cricket club, I feel as though I should now set off on a quest to fully research Maybrick's life after the killings, and write a book on my findings - I already have the title: Michael 'Jack the Ripper' Maybrick - My Island Life - Nobody Knows Me. As titles go, it's a bit lengthy, but I want it to include both 'Island life', because of it's double meaning, and 'Nobody knows me' because of it's double meaning i.e. as a lyric from the song Jack the Ripper and for the italic use of the word knows.

I am genuinely intrigued by Michael Maybrick and Robinson's theory; especially as the transcript of Maybrick's evidence from his sister-in-law's murder trial paints Michael as a manipulative control freak, but the reason that I can't go off and write the book is because I am still writing FollowingTheMozziah, which I really didn't expect to be doing FOUR YEARS after I first discovered Morrissey was secretly writing on the internet. I already have one book, 'The TRUE History of the UK Number 1 single - Putting the Record Straight' on hold; which until I write it, means that the likes of Are You Sure, March of the Siamese Children, and Please Please Me are still without recognition as rightful Number 1s.... which incidentally is all because in 1977, four middle class men decided to make it so in their book of inaccuracies.

BOOK OF INACCURACIES

And so to the continuation of FTM. Following on from Morrissey's posting of the two New World Order videos on TTY, I thought that perhaps, just perhaps, the users of the Morrissey-Solo website might finally put two and two together and realise that it was the MorrisseysWorld blog where the subject of a New World Order was first mentioned in the land of Moz, but unfortunately that has not happened, and instead the users have either blamed Julia Riley, put it down to Moz being drunk/high, or just accused Morrissey of losing his marbles.

DRUNK? HIGH? DERANGED? .... OR JUST HIMSELF

One person who has finally put two and two together - or more like five hundred and two and five hundred and two - is our old friend Rosy Mires, but her realisation has hardly led her to embrace and rejoice in the fact that Morrissey is Our Mozzer, rather the opposite.

Having seen the TTY post, Rosy tweeted, "Worryingly, I agree the videos do resemble MW at its maddest/lowest. Looney stuff", before then adding, "Have you SEEN the videos? Too many magic mushrooms with his tomato penne?" Rosy, like the 'fans' on So-low, obviously doesn't like the fact that Morrissey's interests and thoughts don't reflect hers. It's an old, but true adage, NEVER meet your heroes.

Rosy was last seen running off into the safe arms of Johnny Marr, to whom she tweeted, "@Johnny_Marr Thank YOU Johnny Marr. Superb record (Adrenalin Baby). Every track." I just hope for the sake of Rosy and all the other Smiths fans, that JM never publicly declares an interest in anything that is either slightly out of the norm, nor politically incorrect.

It should be remembered that Rosy did initially believe that Morrissey was behind MorrisseysWorld, but then managed to convinced herself that it COULDN'T be Moz when the MW blog: joked about a crying Sudanese girl wanting a copy of Years of Refusal, likened Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand to the Moors Murderers, and joked on Twitter about Oprah Winfrey looking like Whitney Houston. When the MorrisseysWorld blog started posing videos about the Illuminati and the NWO, Rosy stated that Morrissey would be "horrified" if he knew that a faker was doing such a thing in his name. Rosy made the oh so common mistake of presuming that she KNEW Morrissey. No one KNOWS another person; not truly knows them.

It is no wonder that pop stars, film stars, footballers, and other heroes in the public eye NEVER show their real selves; they can't, it might smear their lovely career.

THE MORRISSEYSWORLD IMAGE OF ROSS & BRAND AS BRADY & HINDLEY

Morrissey yesterday posted a statement on TTY saying that David Joseph at Universal Music in London has refused Mozzer's request to "re-issue 'I'm Throwing My Arms Around Paris' as a loving tribute to the lives lost in the Paris atrocities."
Morrissey Singing 'I'm Throwing My Arms Around Paris'
At 8.30pm (6.30pm São Paulo time) last night, a photo of Morrissey having a drink in the Skye Bar was tweeted by @seanmcg using his instagram account. It was a rather sneaky photo, taken over his shoulder, and obviously without permission. As Mr Sneaky had posted the photo on social media, I decided I would share it, so I cropped it, and then tweeted it. One of my followers, Steph (@stracy1675), saw my tweet, and in turn adapted the photo by adding the quote, "David Joseph can go fuck himself":

Embedded image permalink

A couple of hours later, Mademoiselle Fifi appeared and tweeted, "Veuve o'clock." A certain someone had noticed the picture!

This morning, I awoke to find that Morrissey had posted Steph's version of the photo on TTY under the heading, Morrissey, tonight in Sao Paulo. A coincidence, naturally! After all, as everyone KNOWS, Morrissey doesn't use ANY form of social media.

It is ridiculous that David Joseph has blocked the release of Paris, and there can be NO reason for it. It wouldn't have cost Polydor Records anything to release a statement announcing that the track was available to download, and would have earned money for the company. Naturally one has to ask,  WHY then has David Joseph blocked Morrissey's request? The answer is a simple one. David Joseph is a very good friend and colleague of Steve Barnett, the man who Morrissey publicly criticised (saying among other things that Barnett has "less brains than an artificial flower") for the debacle at Harvest. Joseph has chosen to stand by his chum rather than: A) Show compassion for those who lost their lives in Paris, and B) Make money for the company for which he is employed. I wonder how Universal's shareholders would feel about the latter?

STEVE BARNETT (FAR LEFT) & DAVID JOSEPH (2ND FROM RIGHT) WITH SOME OTHER PEOPLE

The dullards at So-low have, of course, accused Morrissey of wanting to re-issue ITMAAP purely to make money, so I felt obliged to point out to one of them the following:

"Do you honestly, honestly believe that Morrissey wanted I'm Throwing My Arms Around Paris re-released for financial gain? Honestly? Or maybe, just maybe, the man who has become numb to all the human atrocities that go on day in, day out all over the world, might ACTUALLY have been genuinely touched by the Paris killings? We all know that Morrissey has a love affair with France, and the song I'm Throwing My Arms Around Paris OBVIOUSLY means an awful lot to Moz because he has kept it in his set for a very long time - much to the condemnation of most of the users on here. Jean Cocteau, Jean Marais, Jean Genet, Brigitte Bardot, Alain Delon, Françoise Hardy, Serge Gainsbourg, Sacha Distel, Maxims, La Fabrique.... these are just a few of the MANY, MANY things that Morrissey loves about France, and what was the last concert Morrissey attended? It was Charles Aznavour at the Palais des Sports in Paris in September. Fuck you and your nasty, negative views. I for one am NOT a Moz cultist, I am a Moz fan. You, Skinny, Geezer, Tseng, Brummie Boy, Benny et al have ALL forgotten why you came here in the first place, your love of Morrissey. Why do you come here? Is your life SO dull that the only thing that gives you life is hating the man you once loved? It's mirror time, my friend."

And then, of course, is the song itself, which was written because of.... A LOVE FOR PARIS.

I have again written far too much today, so I will now sign off. I will leave with another song, Alma Matters, sung the other night in São Paulo. A white rose can clearly be shown being waved by one of the audience, but as far as I am aware, it didn't make it to Moz. The tour continues tonight, with the second of the São Paulo shows, and then the tour party head to Rio. There is NEVER a dull moment in the world of Moz. The truth about Jack the Ripper and UK No.1s pale into insignificance - I'm following the Mozziah!

Day 1533 - See in me a side of you

From what I have seen of the footage on Youtube, Morrissey's concert held on Saturday night in São Paulo was quite incredible, and also happened to include a few signs/references to the BRS.

SET: Suedehead / Alma Matters / You Have Killed Me / Speedway / Ganglord / Staircase At The University / Istanbul / World Peace Is None Of Your Business / One Of Our Own / The Bullfighter Dies / You'll Be Gone / I'm Not A Man / Yes, I Am Blind / Meat Is Murder / Everyday Is Like Sunday / Smiler With Knife / Kick The Bride Down The Aisle / Kiss Me A Lot / Jack The Ripper / What She Said // I'm Throwing My Arms Around Paris / The Queen Is Dead

Embedded image permalink

Most significantly, the song Smiler With Knife made a return to the set; although unfortunately the song was somewhat spoiled by a screaming fan, but it was still VERY special for it to have been sung. Earlier this month, I wrote that Smiler hadn't been sung live since Hull in September, and I also mentioned that Morrissey had quoted to a Chilean interviewer that, "a song like Smiler with knife is so meaningful to me that I cannot even sing".

It is pretty obvious that Smiler With Knife was played in São Paulo on Saturday because of it's close association to the MorrisseysWorld fictional story, Brazil; which not only has the same theme as the song, but also features a character called Paulo, and is of course set in Brazil! Brazil was first published on the MW blog in August 2011, and as soon as World Peace Is None of Your Business was released, BRS members quickly made the connection between Smiler With Knife and the short story. I wrote about this on Day 1035 of FTM; which incidentally is also the day that I mentioned being banned by Broken from republishing the Brazil story.

Jack the Ripper also was played on Saturday night, which could be considered a 'coincidence' following on from me writing about JTR on FTM last week, but as Morrissey sang the song in Chile the previous week, it is only a flimsy coincidence.... unless of course Morrissey changed the lyrics to include the name Michael Maybrick, which would then make it a HUGE coincidence. Unfortunately there is no Youtube footage, so I can't check, but it is highly unlikely!*

And whilst I am on the subject of Jack, the former Isle of Wight coroner, who I am reliably informed is a very senior ranking freemason, has come out to defend Michael Maybrick's good name, telling the local rag that Bruce Robinson's book, They All Love Jack, is, "complete and utter rubbish", adding, "it is such rubbish that I don't think it will do any harm to the reputation of a man who could hardly have been more respectable." The former coroner, John Matthews, then goes on to say, "You hardly come to a town to hide and become so prominent. He was regularly received at Osborne by Queen Victoria and his funeral was the biggest the Isle of Wight had seen. He was mourned by so many."
Mr Matthews obviously hasn't stopped to think that perhaps Maybrick was SO arrogant, and SO full of his own self importance, that he would have HAD to be a prominent public figure to feed his ego.

Embedded image permalink

Bruce Robinson's book also alleges that Michael Maybrick was a member of six masonic lodges, had a hatred of women, and was homosexual - believed to have been in a relationship with his writing partner, Frederic Weatherley. John Matthews 'defends' Maybrick's sexuality, saying, "if anything, he may have been asexual." Unbelievable!

Anyway, back to Morrissey. Another BIG nod to the BRS was the way in which Morrissey tossed his shirt at the end of the concert. It was a very exuberant toss, involving dabbing and teasing - quite different to the understated toss during Let Me Kiss You at the previous São Paulo concert last Tuesday. The reason the toss was so exuberant, and the reason it is is a nod to the BRS, is because last Thursday The World of Moz blog published a Top 10 Shirt-Toss Chart, which a certain somebody was obviously VERY aware of!

Embedded image permalink

The BRS tumblr site, which I first mentioned on Day 1042 of FTM, has been updated to include photos of both the mysterious MorrisseysWorld painting that I wrote about Wednesday, and the white rose from that I made reference to two days ago as having been seen during the Alma Matters Youtube footage at the first of the São Paulo gigs.

That Day 1042 FTM entry also mentions the Brazil story, and explains how we were first led to the BRS tumblr site by a Solow user called, Vanitas M.Berrymore. I had pondered at the time as to whether the Vanitas character might actually have been Morrissey, but yesterday I received a confession from Orange Mecanique aka Chuck aka Small-boy Jokes aka God only knows who else, that Vanitas was in fact HER! Logic therefore leads me to conclude that Chuck is also the person behind the BRS tumblr, but she categorically denies this, stating that she found the BRS tumblr by googling. I have no way of knowing if she is telling the truth or not, but something still tells me that the tumblr is the work of Moz.

Ahead of Morrissey's forthcoming concert in Paraguay, he has given an interview to ABC.Com.Py. In the interview Morrissey compares Cameron to Thatcher, stating that nothing has changed in British politics since the 80's. Moz also states that Oscar Wilde is still as relevant as ever, and recommends his complete works, along with The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter by Carson McCullers, and I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou.

In the interview Morrissey also states, "books on animal rights will expand your mind. Would you like to be expanded, or are you happy eating contaminated chicken wings? Chickens also want to keep their wings!"
Moz claims that he doesn't listen to any current music, and says, "Ed Sheeran is the perfect example of the death of music."
When asked if he has ever heard the song Morrissey by Leo Garcia, Mozzer replies, "Of course. It is fantastic." (Ed - I must confess that I had never heard of it. It is from 2001, and in the 6 years that the video has been on Youtube, it has had over 500,000 views!)
Of World Peace is None of Your Business, Morrissey says, "I have never felt so proud."

And in other news, Anna Calvi has revealed how Morrissey made her "little cards" when she supported him, and that they are now pen pals. She ought to join the BRS!

All eyez now on Rio.

Day 1543 - It's the bomb that will bring us together

I have just returned home having spent a wonderful week in New York, where I walked and walked, shopped for records and books, took in the sights, saw Kiera Knightley perform in Zola's Thérèse Raquin at the famous Studio 54, and generally had a really relaxing and fun time. The outside world stopped existing. The only downside was seeing the hundreds upon hundreds of homeless people, which has become far worse then when I was last in NYC in 2013.

On my return home, I switched on my TV to see that the bloodthirsty David Cameron, backed by Hilary 'Tory' Benn, has started a bombing campaign of Syria. Benn's father would be SO proud. No wonder Tony Benn failed to get his anti-war message across to Parliament, he couldn't even get it across the kitchen table.

I immediately switched off the TV and instead turned on my lap top to see that Morrissey's so called fans were once again laying into him, all because he made a humorous throw away remark on TTY about the San Francisco TSA being worse than ISIS. Rosy Mires screamed, "Indefensible". GOB screamed, "Bipolar Insensitivity". Uncle Twatty screamed, "wanky, fucky, wanky fuck, bell-end wank fuck" and then disappeared up his own arse.... again!

It is all VERY reminiscent of the responses to Our Mozzer: joking about Whitney Houston's death, likening Brand and Ross to Brady & Hindley, and displaying a picture of crying Sudanese girl with a caption of how she wanted a copy of Years of Refusal. I am laughing to myself as I type this, just remembering how funny it all was.

STILL NO SIGN OF A COPY YEARS OF REFUSAL - STILL, CHRISTMAS IS COMING, SO THERE IS ALWAYS HOPE

One must imagine that Rosy Mires is offended by her own reflection.... and possibly with justification, so yesterday I decided to put this to the test. Two days ago, in San Bernardino in the US of A, 14 people were shot dead by a man named Syed Farook, who apparently left his office party in an "angry mood" before returning with guns blazing. I tweeted to Rosy Mires that the killings were a result of the DJ playing Adele at the office party, but despite me making light of a situation where 14 innocent people lost their lives, she refused to take offence. And also, despite Rosy screaming, "indefensible" regarding Morrissey's ISIS comment, she is still jetting off to watch this indefensible man in Vegas in January. The world is indeed, a strange place.

ADELE - ENOUGH TO DRIVE ANYONE TO MURDER

As there has been no sign of Our Mozzer on Twitter, I have decided that it is time to take a rest from both The Loveless Go-Go bar and this blog thing of mine; after all, OM is the only reason I am doing this. I shall only return if.... yes, we all know by now, one of the following happens:
A) Moz accepts a blue rose
B) Our Mozzer returns to Twitter
C) Morrissey wears a t-shirt of a manufactured pop act
D) Something else happens that is particularly relevant to our story
E) There is NO E.

Before I sign off, here are a few little snippets.
A) Smiler with Knife was not sung at either the Rio or Brasilia concerts, which pretty much backs up my last blog entry about it being included in the São Paulo set because of it's links to MorrisseysWorld.

B) Footage of Jackie Wilson singing Baby Workout has been added to Morrissey's pre-concert video montage.

C) Orangey Chuck has written about a possible 'coincidence' on her World of Moz blog, relating to a picture of Morrissey wearing a Supreme t-shirt, which may or may not relate to Our Mozzer apparently saying in the MW chatroom that he was photographed by Terry Richardson.

D) A red rose was seen in the audience at the concert on Sunday in Brasilia, but I have seen no evidence that it was given to Morrissey.

And that's it. One of my book purchases from New York's The Strand was the Bruce Robinson book that I have blogged a lot about recently called,  They All Love Jack, so I will now take myself off to read the 800+ pages. I also have a trip to make to Cambridge for a University interview (not for me!), a Shed Seven concert to attend, a number of new LPs to listen to, and my 39th birthday party to plan.

Intelligence resources have today announced that ISIS are planning their next attack to be in Britain, so it would appear that Cameron and Benn's bombing campaign is already paying dividends.

Farewell to the few who remain.

*Goes off singing* And he swore that he'll never, never do it again, and of course he won't, oh not until the next time, anyway.

Foot Note - Three weeks ago I wrote about the fact that NO 'non singles' had yet topped the UK chart, thus keeping my 'physical' Number 1s collection intact. That has now ended with Justin Bieber hitting No.1 with TWO album tracks. Bastard!

Day 1547 - Room with a view

On Friday I wrote that I wouldn't return unless one of the following happened:
A) Moz accepts a blue rose
B) Our Mozzer returns to Twitter
C) Morrissey wears a t-shirt of a manufactured pop act
D) Something else happens that is particularly relevant to our story
Those paying close attention would have seen that there was NO E.

The fact that I have returned means that one of the above HAS taken place. In fact, two and a half of the above four have taken place! The half is A. There were no blue roses on view at Sunday's concert in Asunción, Paraguay - which it should be noted looked to be a fantastic concert, with a very enthusiastic crowd, and Moz and the band once again in top form - but there WERE white roses.

Initially I didn't notice the white roses, but yesterday True-To-You posted a video from Asunción of Everyday is Like Sunday. NO explanation as to why the video was posted was given. I had already watched the first half of the song; which includes the long piano intro, but I had been interrupted while watching it, so hadn't watched to the end. As TTY had posted it, I decided to watch, and there to my surprise, at the 3 minute 37 sec mark, a white rose was thrown to (or rather at) Moz, which he caught it, looked at it, and then tossed back. The reason the video had been posted on TTY was OBVIOUSLY to bring it to the attention of the BRS - it obviously would mean NOTHING to anyone else. Solow haven't even bothered mentioning that the video was posted on TTY, which is a first for them.

Jesse Tobias (@8stitches9lives) also tweeted an instagram clip of the roses (yes plural) being thrown.

With regards to B, Our Mozzer did make a return to Twitter, but more about that in a minute.

There has been no wearing of a manufactured pop act t-shirt (C), so I shall move onto D - 'Something else happens that is particularly relevant to our story'.

On Sunday, I stayed in a spit and sawdust Travelodge hotel in Cambridge, and when I awoke yesterday morning, I looked out of my window onto the beautiful view of the car park below, and saw a white window cleaners van with the company name ISIS written on the side. Later in the day, I tweeted a photo of it, and wrote, "This was the site that greeted me outside my hotel window this morning."

Embedded image permalink

Just a couple of hours later, and SURELY as a taunt to me and my not so glamorous lodgings and outlook, Morrissey posted a video on TTY entitled, 'Outside of Morrissey's hotel in Asuncion, Paraguay, 7 December 2015'. The video showed a group of screaming girls and a rather nice view beyond. Pathetic!.... or maybe I am far too full of my own self importance, and it really is just a coincidence. Pathetic!

Embedded image permalink

A THIRD TTY article was also posted yesterday, and that too may have a slight association with our story. The article was entitled, 'Holly Woodlawn, RIP', and was Morrissey's tribute to Warhol Superstar, actress Holly Woodlawn, who died yesterday. Morrissey wrote:

""Holly came from Miami FLA, hitch-hiked her way across the USA, plucked her eyebrows on the way, shaved her legs and then he was a she..." Walk on the wild side, Lou Reed. Life has kissed her eyelids closed."

The reason that I have mentioned a 'slight association', is because fellow Warhol Superstar, Joe Dallesandro, follows Morrissey on Twitter, and it was Joe who yesterday broke the news of Holly's death. I have no doubt that this is where Morrissey would have found out about it, as did I.

HOLLY WOODLAWN AND JOE DALLESANDRO

And so onto the return of Our Mozzer to Twitter.

Author of the blog and book 15 Minutes With You, Julie Hamill, got rather excited yesterday when a photo appeared of Morrissey wearing one of the badges that she and @TonyMerchison had given to Moz last year. Julie tweeted, "Best day ever". I questioned this, and asked Julie if it was an even better day than when she chatted to Moz on Twitter, to which she replied, "Okay, so what did I say and what did he say? And when do we run away together?" I reminded her that it was just small pleasantries from what I could remember, and told her that there was no mention of running, adding, "Morrissey would NEVER run!" Julie STILL doesn't believe that MorrisseysWorld is Moz, or that he is on Twitter. Julie has spent the past four years chatting to anyone and everyone who might once have passed the time of day with Morrissey, when she could have been spending the time chatting to the man himself. Oh well!

Embedded image permalink

Nine hours after my conversation with Julie, Our Mozzer (@BRSChairman) turned up on Twitter (at 9.30pm Asunción time), and tweeted:

"Mumbling, bumbling, stumbling, and tumbling around. Never running. No not at this age."

I doubt for one (or 15) minute that this will convince Julie that it is Moz, but hey ho.

Right then, back I must go to reading about Jack the Ripper and planning my 38th birthday party. I no longer have the Shed 7 concert to look forward to, as it took place last night.... and it was incredible. I had forgotten just how good a band they are, and I love scrawny Rick Witter, the lead singer, and although I rarely get excited by guitarists, Paul Banks is quite a player.

The BRS tumblr has been updated to include the recent red rose (photo taken from FTM!) and Sunday's white rose. FTM received approximately 11 hits from Paraguay. What next for our journey? The SudAmerican tour party tomorrow reaches Argentina.

I shouldn't really be here.... don't get me wrong, my current bout of 'man flu' isn't so badthat, for the grace of God, I should be dead... not that there is a God whose grace could have saved me anyway, but what I mean is, I shouldn't really be here because none of the following has happened to trigger my return:
A) Moz accepts a blue rose
B) Our Mozzer returns to Twitter
C) Morrissey wears a t-shirt of a manufactured pop act
D) Something else happens that is particularly relevant to our story
There wasn't an E - there rarely ever is!

The reason that I have returned, is simply because there are a number of things on my mind that I want to write about. Readers of my blog may not wish to wade through ALL of the twaddle on my mind, so let me give you the subject headings, and then you can jump to any that may grab your interest - I'm here to help!:

1. THE PARAGUAYAN BLUE ROSE
2. THE MISSED FIFI 'COINCIDENCE' OF 2013
3. BOY GEORGE DRAGS ME INTO THE LOOS
4. MORRISSEY CONCERTS IN BUENOS AIRES
5. JOE DALLESANDRO THANKS MOZ
6. THE THIEF OF BAGHDAD

So, here we go - eyes down for your first number this time:

1. THE PARAGUAYAN BLUE ROSE

In my last blog offering, which I wrote on Tuesday, I stated that there had been no blue roses on view at the Morrissey concert in Paraguay last Sunday, but I was wrong. It transpires that the twitter user, @lupe_eme, took a blue rose and threw it onto the stage during the encore.

ROSE LAUNCHED DURING THIS CHARMING MAN AT 0:27

2. THE MISSED FIFI 'COINCIDENCE' OF 2013

Yesterday, I was flicking through some old FTM entries from December 2013, when I stumbled upon a comment that had been posted by Fifi; which at the time I paid very little notice to. The main reason that I had paid little notice to the comment, was because at that time, I had no idea who Fifi was - it was only when Fifi posted about Jean Genet on Day 824 of FTM that the penny finally dropped as to who 'she' (the character Mademoiselle Fifi from Guy de Maupassant's book of the same name is actually a man... who incidentally was stabbed by a prostitute... jigsaw, jigsaw, jigsaw) is.

Embedded image permalink
JEAN GENET'S STAR OUTSIDE THE LUCILLE LORTEL THEATRE IN CHRISTOPHER ST NYC - PHOTOGRAPH BY ME

The particular comment that I stumbled upon was posted on Day 819 of FTM - December 11th. The BRS regulars had all been posting their predictions as to which three songs Morrissey might sing at the Nobel Peace Prize concert that evening in Oslo. For the record, I predicted: November Spawned a Monster, Lazy Sunbathers and Meat is Murder. Fifi predicted: Seasick yet still docked, I've changed my plea to guilty and That's how people grow up, but three hours after making her prediction, Fifi followed it up with this:

"Seasick yet still docked" makes me think of Irish people crossing the sea to emigrate to England and their struggle to leave their beloved Ireland behind. You know, how their blood's Irish but their heart becomes English or something along those lines.
"That's how people grow up", yeah they're just the same everywhere.
Emotional air raids exhausted my heart and it's safer to be in my satellite of love. So I've changed my plea to guilty.
Thank you.
Not my best puzzle I admit, but I hope you enjoyed it.
Now off to bed, the Perrier's gone straight to my head and I already have my sweatpants on, I can now go to bed
Fifi xxx

Later that evening, Morrissey took to the stage with his band and played: Irish Blood, English Heart, People are the Same Everywhere and Satellite of Love.... wearing sweatpants. NOT ONE SINGLE BRS MEMBER NOTICED FIFI'S PREDICTION.

Having realised that I missed Fifi's HUGE 'coincidence' (which Rosy Mires would no doubt put down to being, "a lucky guess"), I decided to look back to see exactly when it was that Fifi joined us. It would appear that Fifi's first posting was on Day 770 (October 24 2013), when she introduced herself as a "newbie". On Day 807 (November 29 2013), Fifi posted a short poem about Manchester:

Too many years apart, yet still in my heart
Abandoned too often, never forgotten
Open your arms and forgive
Your Northern ire is furtive
A quiet walk in the park, a sky much too dark
Mancunia of my heart
There is no joy when we're apart

Fifi

Yesterday I discovered that my father lived at 5 St Hilda's Rd in Manchester during a period in the late 1950s. Having looked it up it, I'm not sure I see Fifi's appeal, but I guess most of us have an emotional attachment to the place where we were born and braised.

Mademoiselle Fifi can be found on Twitter - if you know where to l'OO'k!

3. BOY GEORGE DRAGS ME INTO THE LOOS

Following on from the publishing of the The Loveless Chart on Tuesday, I alerted Coby Koehl (@CobyKoehl) to the fact that he had made the Top 10 with his tribute to Holly Woodlawn. He thanked me, and I then tweeted to ask if he and @BoyGeorge were friends again - they had a big fall out about 5 years ago, to which Coby replied, "I'm friends with everyone x", but at the exact same moment, I was dragged by my hair extensions into the loos of The Loveless by none other than Boy George himself (yes, he follows me on Twitter - God only knows why.... his God, not mine, I don't have one... but he DEFINITELY does as I've heard him sing about him... where was I? Oh yes, Boy George was dragging me into the toilets of the BRS' fantasy online Go-Go bar, The Loveless, but first of all I need to get out of these brackets.) That's better.

On reaching the loos, BG informed me in no uncertain terms, that he and Coby "are NOT" friends. I told him that he should make up with him, stating that life was too short. BG humorously replied, "so is he!", before adding, "I don't need help with who I'm friends with!". BG then stormed back out of the loos, and headed back to the bar, where he repeated his statement about not needing help to the outside world.

It is of course none of my business who BG is friends with, and I have no idea what went on between the two. All things considered, I got off quite likely; I'm not sure old Mozzer would be quite so nice if told he should patch things up with Joyce!

Here is a video from 2009, of George & Coby in happier times, singing Walk on the Wild Side together:

4. MORRISSEY CONCERTS IN BUENOS AIRES

Plenty of Youtube footage has emerged from both of these unbelievable concerts of last Wednesday and Thursday, where the audiences went crazy. The set lists for both concerts were AMAZING, and included: First of the Gang to Die, One of Our Own, Crashing Bores (with a quote about the Gestapo on night one), a cappella renditions of the Leo Garcia song 'Morrissey', Will Never Marry, Jack the Ripper, Oboe ConcertoYes, I am Blind and You'll Be Gone.

Morrissey's closing words on night one, before launching into the finale of The Queen is Dead (which perhaps Boy George should release in honour of Coby Koehl) were, "Always trust your first instinct, be kind to animals, look after your mother, but for God's sake, don't forget to live." The second night had a couple of young stage invaders, and the night was kicked off with Morrissey singing an a cappella snippet of the West side Story song, America, before launching into Suedehead. Morrissey and the band are at the VERY top of their game. This tour has been INCREDIBLE.

I'm sure that it is nothing more than a genuine coincidence that One of Our Own was sung just hours after I tweeted to Joe Chiccarelli (@artfitpro) and Max LeGuil (@maximeleguil) asking if they could leak the French remix of the song, and I am also sure that it is a genuine coincidence that Oboe Concerto was sung following me linking the song to Joe Dallesandro following the death of Holly Woodlawn.

I am also sure that it was a genuine coincidence that Morrissey sung of a West side story song the day after I had posted a Youtube clip of the film's star, George Chakiris. Hmm.

5. JOE DALLESANDRO THANKS MOZ

And on the subject of Joe Dallesandro; who incidentally is one of the most interesting people I follow on twitter - and I'm not even a proper fan, having only ever seen three and a half of his films; none of which are the famous trilogy of Flesh, Trash and Heat, nor Joe's own personal favourite Je t'aime moi non plus... where was I? Oh yeah, on the subject of Joe Dallesandro, I tweeted a link to him the other day of Morrissey's TTYstatement regarding the death of Holly Woodlawn, and Joe then tweeted the TTY post with a note of thanks to Morrissey, which was rather nice of him. It has been quite strange to watch Joe openly grieving for Holly on social media, but at the same time, it has been incredibly interesting.

And whilst on the subjects of both Joe D, Holly Woodlawn and Twitter, I must mention that on November 5th, in a conversation with Joe, I asked, "have you ever met @TheHollyJohnson?", to which Joe replied, "I don't think so. We may have." Having been tagged in to the conversation, Holly then jumped in to tweet, "Only in my dreams maybe." I had brought together Joe and Holly! Following Holly Woodlawn's death, Johnson tweeted Dallesandro to say, "seeing you with Holly Woodlawn in "Trash" the movie at 14 years old, changed the way I looked at the world." I love Twitter!

6. THE THIEF OF BAGHDAD

At the beginning of November, a Solower I have mentioned before called Vegan.Cro, posted about a scene from the film Thief of Baghdad, in which a white rose is turned into a blue rose. I meant to mention it here, but forgot, so I am now remembering. I believe Vegan.Cro to be Chucky Orange, but who knows, and who really cares!

Day 1554 - The Loveless Top 69 Chart

It would appear that the 'missed' Fifi coincidence that I wrote about yesterday wasn't actually a 'coincidence' after all, so therefore wasn't missed either! It transpires that Fifi posted her list of the three Nobel songs AFTER the event. Oh well, I can't get EVERYTHING right.

Here is this week's chart - the Top 10 was counted down in The Loveless Go-Go (more like Went-Went) bar to an audience of just 1 - Heather.

And now, with such a lack of interest from anyone in what I write, I really do feel that it is time for me to take a break for a while. I have been neglecting They All Love Jack, and I really must make preparations for my rapidly approaching 37th birthday party.

It's been a blast.

POSTER EATING GOATS IN LIMA

On Day 1293 of FTM, I used the headline Happy Easter (Tour Is Over), and described how Morrissey had ended his Spring European tour in Tilburg by playing Life is a Pigsty; which I had presumed was for former BRS member Inge, who had tried harder than anyone else to get a blue rose to Moz during the 2014 Autumn tour - as it happens Inge didn't attended the Tilburg concert. The Spring tour had been fantastic, although it had been unsuccessful for the BRS, with us all failing to get a blue rose to Moz; although when I say all, only myself and EARS actually took a rose to a concert in the Spring. It was dark times for the BRS.

MORRISSEY RAISES AN EYEBROW AT MY INFLATABLE RED ROSE IN BOURNEMOUTH, BUT IT WAS DARK TIMES FOR THE BRS IN THE SPRING

Last Saturday night, Morrissey and his band brought to an end their incredibly successful South American tour, and although no blue roses were passed to Morrissey on this leg of the tour either, we reach Christmas with the BRS certainly in better shape than it was at Easter, with red, white and blue roses having appeared at many, many concerts throughout the year - as documented on the Blue Rose Society tumblr - and Morrissey accepting and wearing a blue rose for the fourth year in a row, when he took Jaz's in Utah.

MORRISSEY WEARING JAZ'S BLUE ROSE IN UTAH

Saturday night's concert in Lima saw yet another nod to a BRS member, with Heather's Twitter profile picture of Morrissey's cat displayed as the backdrop whilst Morrissey sung a wonderful rendition of Simon & Garfunkel's El Condor Pasa (If I Could). Morrissey's version:

HEATHER'S TWITTER PROFILE PICTURE DISPLAYED DURING EL CONDOR PASA

It could of course be argued that Morrissey was just displaying a picture of his own cat; a picture which he had previously posted on TTY back in August when he wrote about cats keeping the rodent population under control.... although why us rodents need controlling, I really don't know, but for me, it is far too coincidental that Morrissey used this particular picture on Saturday, especially as Mademoiselle Fifi tweeted to Heather last Tuesday to say, "@heathercat222 You are such a lovely person." This photo was for Heather, just as the juggling oranges on the James Corden show was for Chuck, the Harsh Truth of the Camera Eye quote in San Jose was for Jaz, Action is My Middle Name in Budapest for Kerry, etc etc etc. Morrissey continues to pay recognition to the members of his Blue Rose Society, and NOBODY sees, but then again, why would they see, when they don't know what to look for, or are even aware that there is anything to look for!

When Morrissey made a nod to his MorrisseysWorld blogsite at the London Palladium in August 2011, I was in the audience, but had no idea what he was up to. It was only later that I realised, but when Morrissey mentioned a toothbrush at the concert I attended in Long Island in 2013, I knew FULL WELL what he was on about. I feel incredibly lucky to have been part of the whole MorrisseysWorld/BRS journey.

"WELCOME TO MY WORLD" - MORRISSEY MAKES A NOD TO HIS OWN MORRISSEYSWORLD BLOG

And on the subject of MorrisseysWorld, or at least one of it's characters/authors/pessoas, last Tuesday Morrissey posted a statement on TTY regarding Margaret Thatcher murdering Argentinians. At the end of the statement, Moz posted a video of Thatcher being exposed as a liar by Diana Gould. Coincidentally, the last time that the MW character, Broken appeared on Twitter, he posted three videos of.... Margaret Thatcher!

So, this is Christmas. Another year over.... well, not quite!

Next stop for Morrissey and his band is San Francisco on December 29th, followed by Morrissey's first ever New Years Eve concert in LA, and then a final concert in Las Vegas on January 2nd. There will be BRS members at all three concerts, so all eyez and EARS will be peeled to see if there is anything else coming our way.

Day 1569 - Of Mice and Men... and Goats

My previous blog entry featured a photograph of some goats eating a Morrissey tour poster. The picture had entered my Twitter timeline on December 21st, having been posted by a tweeter named @BattisAbby. It transpired that Abby had seen it on Facebook a couple of days earlier. The picture reminded a number of the BRS of the infamous Joyce Goat picture that was featured on the MorrisseysWorld blog:

THE JOYCE GOAT

On December 23rd, at 6.20pm UK time, Mademoiselle Fifi (@y20m7d27) arrived in The Loveless Go-Go Bar; which to those of you who may be reading this blog for the very first time, is the name given to our corner of Twitter (does Twitter have corners?) by Astra (@fadinggoldleaf - currently disenabled... and also quite possibly currently VERY intoxicated on Veuve). Mlle Fifi's visit to The Loveless was very short, but she must have liked the poster eating goat picture, because she retweeted it. Five minutes later, True-To-You posted the photograph in an article entitled Goats in Peru. A coincidence, of course.

JOYCE NIBBLES AWAY AT MORRISSEY, HELPED BY ROURKE

It later transpired.... that's twice that I've used the word transpired in this blog entry, having not previously used it since July - how bizarre. Where was I? Oh yes, it later transpired (three!) that the goat picture wasn't actually real, having been photoshopped from an old African election poster. I thought it was strange that goats would eat Morrissey!

With the exception of Fifi's visit to The Loveless on the 23rd, all has been extremely quiet over Christmas, so I have spent time in the real world, enjoying the season and my birthday.

This evening Morrissey will return to the stage in San Francisco, and BRS members, Kerry the Cocktail (@Boozelette) and MerryAnn (@sadglamour), will be there with their blue roses. The big question is, will the two of them still be standing after a day of drinking, especially as Kezza has already tweeted at 7am this morning (San Fran time) to say, "I'm still shitcunted".

And finally, Heather (@Heathercat222) has noticed that in Lima, Morrissey sang, "will nature make a mouse of me yet". I don't know if he has made this lyric change before, but it is about time that rodents got a bit of recognition.

And finally, finally, here is one of my very early parody pieces, from this day in 2011: Christmas with Moz & Boz.

Day 1570 - "Welcome to our secret society"

$

Last night at San Francisco's Nob Hill Masonic Center.... titter ye not, madam, that really IS what it's called.... Morrissey walked out on stage, and humorously cried, "Spread open those golden gates." It was Carry On Mozzer time! The Mozziah then launched into Suedehead, and then, just before Alma Matters; which is a song with special meaning to the BRS, he addressed the audience again, this time saying, "Welcome to our secret society."Morrissey then produced a rather large smirk.

Rosy Mires and the naysayers (good name for a band) would, of course, insist that Morrissey's mention of, "our secret society" to be a reference to the fact that he was playing in a Masonic Hall, but for those of us without our heads buried in the sand (or up his own arse in the case of Peter Finan - roadie for Rosy Mires and the Naysayers), the referral to "our secret society" is a 'coincidence' of WOW, WOW, WOW... WOW proportions. IT IS HUGE! Morrissey may as well have said, "welcome to the Blue Rose Society". It has instantly reminded me of Morrissey saying, "Welcome to my world" at the London Palladium on August 8th 2011, which was a reference to Morrissey's MorrisseysWorld blog. The signs/coincidences just keep on coming, and still nobody notices... except for the Dreary Deluded Dozen.

"WELCOME TO OUR SECRET SOCIETY"

As I write this, there has been no account of the concert posted on The World of Moz blog by either MerryAnne or Kerry the Cocktail, but Kerry has posted the set list, which includes a superb trilogy in the middle of: Ripper, Oboe and Bores. You'll Be Gone was once again not played, but hopefully we haven't seen the end of it.

The evening opened with a new backdrop of a still from Rebel Without a Cause (a film that I first watched over 30 years ago, having been led to it by Morrissey), with Morrissey replacing Corey Allen in the role of Buzz.

It has also been reported that the stage was coloured red & blue at the start of the concert, which always reminds me of the MorrisseysWorld blog, and the Twin Peaks references. The fact that the concert was held in a Masonic Hall is also a throwback to the MW blog days, when freemasonry was regularly discussed. Whilst on the subject of Freemasonry, I must mention that I have rather neglected the Bruce Robinson book, They All Love Jack, as the chapter I am on is more like an A-Z reference book of Victorian Freemasons! I will try and work through it again soon, but I have also started to wonder if it is worth reading, because if Michael Maybrick really was the Ripper, and the Freemasons all knew it, then why would the likes of Tennyson and other bigwigs have befriended him on the Isle of Wight - surely they would have despised him and had nothing to do with him? Anyway, that's for another day, and possibly another blog.

Also last night, Morrissey's band members wore 'Morrissey For President' t-shirts - again in red and blue - which may mean that Morrissey wants to take over the Presidency of the BRS. Morrissey was  previously ruthless in ousting Loughton Lil as the BRS Chairman, so there is no reason to believe that he would be any less ruthless in dethroning the current BRS President, 14 year old Kyle Douglas; who actually doesn't seem to follow any of the BRS shenanigans anymore, so I doubt he'd mind. It is only right and proper that Morrissey should be the President of the BRS (I've seen Rubble Kings you know!) and what is more, he may well need a new position, as the word on the street is that he has lost the password for his BRS Chairman twitter account!

MerryAnne and Kerry both wore blue roses to the concert last night, and MerryAnne's tweeted picture has already made it onto the BRS tumblr site.

There was also a new backdrop of Diana Dors during Let Me Kiss You.

During the band introductions, it has been reported that Morrissey referred to himself as
Trini Lopez, who I had never heard of, so spent an hour or so this morning discovering his music. Nobody loves me and Lonesome Traveller are right up Mozzer's alley.

And finally, there was no sign of the mouse in This Charming Man last night, but listening to the song has made me wonder if Morrissey will attempt to'return the (BRS) ring" to Vulgar Angie in either LA or Vegas. Even if he doesn't, I wouldn't be surprised if we were to see even more coincidences/signs at the next two concerts, and there is of course that one last remaining MorrisseysWorld pledge to be fulfilled.

Day 1573 - A Funny thing happened on the way to the Center

On Wednesday I wrote that the naysayers would say that Morrissey's mention of "our secret society" in San Francisco was nothing more than a reference to him playing in a Masonic Hall, and I am pleased to report that I haven't been let down. Three naysayers decided that they just HAD to tweet me, to tell me how wrong I was about Morrissey's mention of a secret society, and subsequent grin, being anything whatsoever to do with the Blue Rose Society..... Morrissey's Blue Rose Society.... as formed by MORRISSEY! Congratulations to Jake McNicholas (@jake_cfc), Adrianna (@jeerthelights) and the despicable MW blog thief, Fabian (@HoldenMorrissey).

If these naysayers really believe that Morrissey is not on Twitter, and is not giving out signs, and is nothing whatsoever to do with MorrisseysWorld or the BRS, THEN WHY do they care so much about what I write? Why don't they just ignore me and the other members of the BRS if they truly believe that we are WRONG, WRONG, WRONG? What I find most amusing, is what on earth makes them think that they KNOW what Morrissey was, or wasn't referring to in San Francisco? None of these three naysayers have followed the online happenings of the past four years, and they didn't see any of the masonic references on the MorrisseysWorld blog, and yet they have concluded that I am the one who is wrong. With no evidence or investigation, people automatically go with what they deem to be the obvious, and chose the simplest conclusion. The human race truly is not very advanced.

Anyway, enough about those who have their eyes wide shut, back to the latest Morrissey concert. New Years Eve saw Morrissey play the Galen Center in LA, and Vulgar Angie, Jazzy, MerryAnne and Kerry the Cocktail were representing the BRS. Only Angie took a blue rose, and unfortunately she was seated up in the Gods, so there was to be no chance of Moz accepting or wearing a rose at this concert.

ANGIE'S BLUE ROSES - THE PHOTO HAS BEEN ADDED TO THEBRS TUMBLR. WHOEVER IS BEHIND THAT TUMBLR ACCOUNT DOESN'T MISS A TRICK... ALTHOUGH MERRYANNE'S ROSE & COCKTAIL PHOTO FROM SF HASN'T BEEN ADDED!

I had hoped that MerryAnne would write a review of the LA concert on the World of Moz blog, but I guess she has been too busy. MerryAnne has however found the time to tweet that prior to the concert starting; as she leant waiting on the front barrier of The Galen, she was approached by Morrissey's 'main West Coast security guard', who introduced himself to her, before bizarrely mentioning that Life is a Pigsty hasn't been played in a while. MerryAnne thinks the man may have been Donnie Knutson - she can't remember the name the guy gave at the introduction, but is pretty sure she recognises him from the photo of him with his blue rose. Whoever the man was, he obviouslyknewwho MerryAnne was, and also knew her favourite song. THEY ALL KNOW, YOU KNOW. God only knows what Jake McNicholas would make of the encounter.

DONNIE KNUTSON WITH A BLUE ROSE IN NEW YORK - JAN 2013

And following on from MerryAnne's tweets about Donnie, a further coincidence has occurred this afternoon (early morning in Vegas), as TTY has posted a photo taken by none other than.... Donnie Knutson. It is a photo of the stage backdrop of Morrissey (as Buzz) and James Dean that I posted on Day 1570 of FTM. The photo has already featured on TTY at the beginning of December, so WHY has it just been posted again? The backdrop photo that I posted on Day 1570 was taken by another of Morrissey's crew, Jay Joannides, so WHY didn't Moz use that photo for the TTY post? Could it be that it is just an excuse to mention Donnie? Hmm.

Kerry the Cocktail has written a review (of sorts) of the NYE concert on TWOM. Kerry, and her man servant Dave, got stuck in traffic on their way to the Galen Center, and then had to return to the hotel when she realised that she had forgotten her ticket. Kezza tweeted to say that she was going to be late to the concert, and then something funny happened.... the start of the concert was delayed! A coincidence?

It is also rather interesting/coincidental that halfway through the concert Morrissey addressed the audience saying, "I hope you  didn't have something else to do, like some washing, or something like that? You never know! But you're here now." He then sang One Of Our Own:

From the footage I have seen/heard, the NYE concert was rather special, with not only One Of Our Own being sung, but also; and for the first time in 2015, All The Lazy Dykes, which subsequently shot straight to Number 5 in The Morrissey Live Chart of 2015; which was counted down yesterday to a very packed Loveless Go-Go Bar by Fluff Rat (Deceased) (@UpThePier). Also sung at The Galen was You'll Be Gone, which earlier on December 31st, I had announced was Number 1 in our Non Morrissey Chart of 2015. There were also a number of 'O' signs made throughout the evening.

New Years Eve was also the 67th birthday of Warhol Superstar, Joe Dallesandro. Little Joe has been posting Morrissey pictures and songs recently, and I enquired as to whether he was going to the concert. He replied, "If they invited me I would. Otherwise to bed early." I wonder if he got an invite?

In other news, we may have a new pessoa in The Loveless. We may even have two! Not Astra'a Derrière (@SoStarkSoHaunt) has been around since April 6th, when she arrived stating, "JE SUIS BARDOT". I have always presumed Ms Not Derrière/Bardot to be a parody account; set up by one of the BRS in honour of Astra (@fadinggoldleaf).... and now I'm not so sure.

The main reason that I didn't initially think that Ms Not Derrière/Bardot was a Morrissey pessoa, was because she had a bit of a spat with Astra the day after first appearing, but I now wonder if perhaps this was done on purpose. I may have got Ms Not Derrière/Bardot completely wrong, and maybe the account is a Moz pessoa, especially as yesterday Ms Not Derrière/Bardot was the first to retweet the NEW possible pessoa, delinquent Icon (@mundaneglamour); who appeared for the first time yesterday at 1pm Vegas time, tweeting, "Glamour hides in the darkest corners ready to startle us all". There have been no further tweets from delinquent Icon, so she may not be a pessoa at all, but she is following the BRS members. I will keep an eye out.

Ms Not Derrière/Bardot did post a couple of tweets yesterday (at 6pm Vegas time), including:

"Any kind of delinquent... is my favourite kind of delinquent. BAR NONE. @mundaneglamour"

"Love has no season. I am the rhyme. And the only reason."

Ms ND/Bardot tweeted again at 8pm:

"Time for someone to start showing these Vegas showgirls how it's REALLY done. And we can all just consider tonight my warm up."

And so to tonight's show in Vegas - the last Moz concert for the foreseeable future. The BRS will be out in force, at the front, and with BLUE ROSES. MerryAnne has already bumped into Boz, and Angie has met Jesse; whilst wearing her Blue Rose Society badge and Morrissey for President t-shirt - a great combo.

MORRISSEY'S JACKET ON DISPLAY AT THE HARD ROCK HOTEL, LAS VEGAS (WITH JAZ'S ROSES)

After eighteen months, the final curtain has come down on the WPINOYB World Tour... although come to think about it, curtains don't actually rise and fall at concerts, only at theatrical performances.... anyway, it's over.

The final concert took place on Saturday night at The Hard Rock Hotel's, The Joint, in the playground of Sinatra and Presley, Las Vegas. The BRS were out in numbers.... four... not great numbers I grant you, but not bad for a Society that has only managed to recruit around 30 people worldwide in four years.

JAZZY - ON THE RAILS (& MERRYANNE - OFF THE RAILS... BUT NOT ON THE RACK)

Morrissey, not unsurprisingly, ignored the blue roses at the concert, but he did sing Action is My Middle Name for the first time since October's concert in Budapest; which VERY coincidentally, Kerry 'Action' Boozey-Cocktail also attended. Morrissey also sang Reader Meet Author; a track from Southpaw Grammar which, somewhat coincidentally, was requested by Boozey back in September, at the very beginning of the tour. All the Lazy Dykes was also sung for just the second time on the tour, and the two times that it has been sung; in LA & Vegas, has VERY coincidentally been with Vulgar 'Cross-armed' Angie  in attendance.

The whole set was just incredible once again, with Oboe Concerto and Presley's You'll Be Gone both  sung as well. During Oboe, Morrissey added the lyric "they were happy to go" after "which pushes me to their place in the queue", and at the end of You'll Be Gone he said,  "well, the spirit was there", which would suggest that maybe he wasn't happy with how the song went, but to me it was as good as ever. I still find it baffling that Elvis didn't write more of his own songs, this song really is as good as any other The King recorded.

Jack The Ripper was also in the set once again, and how I dearly wish that I had had the opportunity to witness it live on this tour.

I must also make mention that Morrissey placed a red rose onto the drum kit during the Vegas concert. I have no idea who took the roses, but the word is spreading.

RED ROSES IN LAS VEGAS 2016

The three concerts of the past week really have been something rather special, and a fantastic way for Morrissey and his excellent band to sign off. I must make mention of the fact that the security man that MerryAnne met in LA was NOT Donnie Knutson, so perhaps that photo taken by Donnie The Don was posted on TTY to show us that he was at the back of the theatre, and not at the front.

True-To-You has today posted a list of all the concerts played on the World Peace is None of Your Business Tour - 101 concerts in 36 countries over the past eighteen months. Hundreds of thousands of fans have been to see Morrissey on the tour. There can now be no doubt in anybody's mind that Steve Barnett and Harvest Records fucked-up BIG TIME.

So, big man, what now? Will Morrissey return to The Loveless Go-Go bar, or is that journey over too? In my last blog entry, I wrote that he may have returned in the form of @MundaneGlamour, but the owner of that account beckoned me into the toilets of The Loveless on Sunday to assure me that she(?) isn't a Morrissey pessoa, so I shall take her at her word, and won't therefore be reporting her every tweet here.... mind you, she has already tweeted some gems:

"Grey can sometimes be glamorous but never on people."

"Sometimes I question the meaning of life but then I look at my silk socks and it all becomes clear"

"Conventional beauty does nothing for me"

"My style is not actually style. More a unique throwing together of dead people's ideas"

"I am forever enthralled by the faded glamour of the British coastal towns. Old Victorian buildings and people victorious in mundaneness"

"I find glamour in death but not in life. This makes me emotionally sensitive. Apparently..."

Whoever MundaneGlamour may be, they certainly give a good impression of being very Morrissey-esque, although I honestly do believe that it isn't Morrissey, after all, what sort of person would be tweeting about the faded glamour of British coastal towns at 4 o'clock in the morning? (West Coast America time)

Day 1582 - "And music, forever - remains the only"

$

Last Friday David Bowie released his latest LP, Black Star. I listened to each track, and although I thought a couple of songs sounded okay, the album as a whole didn't particularly grab me.

On Saturday evening; just minutes before The Voice aired on BBC1, new Voice judge, Boy George, took to Twitter to state that he had just downloaded Bowie's album, so I tweeted to say, "It will be interesting to hear what you think of it. I personally prefer Bieber's album." George spotted my tweet and replied, "Are you five?". I then got trolled by BG's followers! I thought it most unprofessional of a judge from The Voice to have decided that one artist's album is better than another based purely on previous output - he hadn't even listened to Black Star at that point! - but ultimately, Bowie is George's hero, and no doubt I would have given exactly the same response to anyone suggesting that a Bieber LP was better than a Morrissey one - even if I hadn't heard the Moz LP.

On Sunday, David Bowie died. The news wasn't announced to the world until Monday.

On Monday, the world mourned.

I was fortunate enough to have seen Bowie's last ever UK concert; when he headlined the Isle of Wight festival in 2004, but I could never claim to have been a massive fan. Having said that, there are loads and loads and loads of Bowie's songs that I absolutely adore. My immediate thoughts on hearing of Bowie's death, turned to Morrissey. To a thirteen year old Morrissey trying to find direction, reasons, and answers, Bowie had been EVERYTHING.

It already seems like a lifetime ago since Morrissey played his last concert in Las Vegas, but it is actually just 10 days.

I, along with two or three other members of the BRS, have spent the past week desperately trying to fathom out if Morrissey has rejoined us in The Loveless or not. As I mentioned in my blog entry of January 2nd both, Not Astra's Derrière (@SoStarkSoHaunt) and Delinquent Icon (now renamed Authority Nightmare @mundaneglamour), had been muted as possible Moz pessoas, and they have both been tweeting during the past week. It has been impossible to draw any conclusion as to their real identities from their tweets, however, in the early hours of Monday morning (2.35am UK time to be exact), Mlle Not Bot posted this in the comments section of my blog entry of last Tuesday:

Isn’t it funny how more than one of us girls look so very similar, sometimes, to one another around here? One girl’s delectation is another girl’s … reflection in the mirror. But you must remember, reflections will never tell the secrets they store. Deaf, mute, untouchable beauty. Then suddenly, one quick step to the side, and none of any of it was ever even there at all.

I’m not usually in the habit of ever leaving comments here so I thought to myself; I’m not about to start now.

Except that I shall. Because I’m NOTHING, if not the exception to EVERY single rule, that any of you have ever known.

I received a message by carrier pigeon earlier. It was written in Morse code. It was from Astra, and it said in sharp staccato little clicks and lights that they “seem to have closed her mothercunting account.” She always did march to the beat of her own heartbeat.

The second part of the message was en Francais. That part said something about how she had an incident very recently where her driver appeared to be indisposed, in some manner or another, fallen by this wayside or that. Or possibly even another.

Apparently she somehow had to call an Uber for the first (and I would imagine the last) time in her life, and was by her French kiss of a whisper of the account, picked up instead by an ex-professional fighter… in a Tesla.

The third part of the message was conveyed neither by clicks, lights, dots, dashes, nor en Francais, and that part said that she’s just in the last two weeks entered into a completely unexpected and equally beguiling middle of the night correspondence of sorts, with an ex-principal dancer of the San Francisco Ballet – who apparently has the eyes of a snow leopard and the countenance of a panther about to pounce – whether on her or not is the part that remains to be seen, but I can already see where this is going.

So she is now currently deciding whether to allow this person the unspeakably exquisite delights of entwining their legs with hers – as she understands that these might be the cards that have been dealt. What’s an extra flight here or there. A dab hand at blackjack, an old hand at poker, a smile and a flash, and with every wink she never gave you, I’m sure the rest will forever remain untold.

In other, slightly less pressing news, - if anyone has a spare melon baller, I do think I’d quite easily succumb to some sweet, tender, wet, honeydew tomorrow. Quite easily, indeed.

Astra may or may not be back, before time’s tide smothers us all – but from the carrier pigeon message, I wouldn’t put any money on it. She was never anything if not the most ephemeral wisp of a nothing that never was.

As for me, it remains to be seen if my derriere, well… will remain to be seen. But I am equally as unlikely as your next unlikeliest anything, … so here I am again, here I go again. And here I’m gone again.

If not here, I will see you all sometime.
I will see you somewhere.

And in the eternal midnight of my pulsating heart, I will drown in my luxe ecstasy – alone.

On the dance floor I will be. On the dance floor, one day, you will find me.

I’ll always be in the one in the middle. I’ll be the one under the spotlight. And when the clock strikes midnight - save me. I’ll be the one with my emerald eyes closed.

May the Almighty God in Heaven above help the wanton, the willing, and the wanting.

Everyone else can fend for themselves.

Goodbye

The style of the writing has pretty much convinced me that Not Bot IS Astra, and therefore Morrissey. I had asked Not Bot last Tuesday who Mundane Glamour was; after all, it was Not Bot who had introduced MG to us. Not Bot replied, "Authority Nightmare. Angel of yesterdays. Whisper of tomorrows. Connoisseur of the shadows. Who are any of us?" This was then followed up with, "Beautiful creates without features. Darts in the dark. Answering to no one. Art is the light."

It left me none the wiser, but perhaps it could be Linder Sterling, who incidentally was spotted at the Moz concert in Las Vegas.

Here are the rest of Not Bot's Twitter highlights from the past week:

I am the go-go dancer that never was. But that I always will be. Legs of a dancer. Heart made of sin. My mind made of dynamite.

Words float away from me. Snake charmer, till the end. A sculptress. My only medium - nuance. Words are my harem. Redemption, my game.

The dance of attrition. My languid eyes wander. Do you know how to play this? Do you know how to move me? Do you know how the heart beats?

We’re all wasting, away.

The loveless know everything. My life is my gamble. My bite is your pleasure. STAGE.

 I was never even here

I believe in the necessity of never needing

Wednesday Jan 6th:

So far I have managed to start off the year, much as I intend to finish it. With appearances high, my hemline much the same, morals low, and standards in the gutter.  A little finesse and I’m done.

But if anyone’s seen my savoir-faire or artful subtlety, you’ll know that sometimes, I also drop things unblushing.

Tendrils of tenderness, caressing the unseeable.  The untouchable never existed.

The cacophony of calamities vies violently, and then all ends in aural ecstasy.

Life stops and starts. The heart skips a beat. And music, forever - remains the only.

Always believe my lies. They'll be beautifully wrapped for as long as you look at me

Customary glance. Ego encapsulated in bright lights. Something without the ability to be physically assessed.

Yearning for the irrational. The ironical. The diabolical. I breathe the fantastical. I live the absurd.

Id explosion. Ego demands. Superego fire. The dance of conjugal control.

Thursday Jan 7th:

I am quite sure of myself. And assured of myself. So we can be sure. And then we can be surer.

Friday Jan 8th:

Once upon a time I was a paper doll. Then I took three left turns. One was wrong. Now I’m just a piece of paper carried by the wind

There is only sadness for me

The tone of some of the tweets almost suggest that Astra (if it is Astra!) KNEW that Bowie was going to die.

I suppose that I ought to trawl back through all of Not Bot's tweets from the past 9 months, but I shan't... not at the moment anyway.

I am pretty sure that whoever Mundane Glamour is, he/she isn't Morrissey, so I won't post their tweets on this blog.

Mademoiselle Fifi, who DEFINITELYis a Moz pessoa, made her first appearance of the New Year this week. On Sunday at 9.30am (UK time) Fifi's 53 followers were treated to her entering The Loveless. She didn't stay long, and just exchanged a few pleasantries with three or four of the regulars. She enquired as to whether I had, "gone ghetto" after I called Kerry a "lucky bitch", and when I explained that I had in fact gone 'high camp' and not 'ghetto', Fifi choked on her tea! She parted with, "A song for Ghetto Rat and I exit. Take good care my little charmers." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2XXunpmoluo

There has been no word from Morrissey regarding Bowie's death. I would guess that he is just feeling numb.

Mundane Glamour took to Twitter yesterday afternoon to tweet, "How brave it was to be Bowie. Devastated, shocked, sadden (sic). These words do not seem enough and do not sum up my complete mourning."

MG then returned a few hours later to tweet, "You may call me Jean Shrimpton", before then interacting with a couple of the regulars. When comrade harps exclaimed surprise that Morrissey hadn't made a statement about Bowie on TTY, MG replied, "watch this space. Or don't. What do I know?"

If it hadn't been for Not Bot introducing MG to us, I really would have dismissed him/her as a fraud. I had absolutely convinced myself that it was Bitchy Bobby Neville behind the account, but my sense of reason tells me that it MUST be someone Morrissey knows.

And after the sadness of yesterday, today my eldest child; although I can't really refer to either of my offspring as children anymore, has been offered a place at Cambridge. I am so, so proud; especially as no member of my family has EVER gone to university before, let alone Cambridge. I couldn't resist tweeting my joy, to which Mundane Glamour responded, "why bother?" I have subsequently unfollowed MG, friend of Morrissey or not! I am also having nothing more to do with Kerry The Cocktail or the aforementioned, Bitchy Bobby Neville, who this week thought it would be funny to try and convince me that they were the authors of the BRS tumblr. They later admitted it was a joke, but with my head already spinning with all the unanswered questions regarding pessoas, I really didn't find it funny. Perhaps I just need a break away from The Loveless for a while.

And as for Black Star, well suddenly it all makes sense.... well, Lazarus does at any rate - I can't stop listening to it. I would even go as far as to say that I prefer it to anything on Bieber's LP, but I won't tell George.
