*Comes in singing*
Birds flyin' high, you know how I feel
Sun in the sky, you know how I feel
Breeze driftin' on by, you know how I feel
It's a new dawn, it's a new day, it's a new life for me
Yeah, it's a new dawn, it's a new day, it's a new life for me, oooooooooh
And I'm feelin' good

In the early hours of the morning of Sunday December 24th 2017 (FTM Day 2392), Morrissey sent me a private Twitter message that read, "The BRS are dead to me. As are you. Goodbye."That was the last I heard from him.......... until now - THE MOZZIAH IS BACK!

*Waves palm leaves and blue roses and starts singing again* It's a new dawn, it's a new day, it's a new life for me.....and...I'm......feel_in' good.

Morrissey's return is in the guise of Dawn Mist, the mystical lighthouse keeper who first joined us in July 2016. Dawn became such a popular pessoa, that she even started her own blog, coincidentally, on this very day last year.

Dawn is back on Twitter with a new account - Dawn the Second (@DawnTheSecond). Dawn walked into The Wrong Arms just after 8pm yesterday evening, and tweeted,"Did you miss me? Was there anything to miss? I am the mist on a deserted island. I am the sound of the silence."

As Dawn had no followers, she got no response to her first tweet, so came looking for me. As I had killed off my '@TheRatsBack' Twitter account, Dawn 'looked me up' in other parts of Twitter, and found me tweeting about..... slow cookers! I know, I know, I know - I've been bored, OK!

Dawn tweeted to me, "You are hereby banned from future live appearances. We cannot have slow cookers backstage as Boz becomes rather impatient for his several large doner kebabs before Six pm."

I'm not convinced that a doner kebab could possibly be cooked in a slow cooker, but how would Morrissey know about such things!

I immediately gave re-birth to @theratsback, and started to interact with Dawn. First of all I had to make sure that this really was Morrissey and not someone pretending to be.... we've had plenty of those before, so I asked Dawn to give me a sign to prove who she was. She replied,"Emails unanswered. Admin guy error. I said 15 questions only, not 15b), 15c) etc. Sent on the 30th November at 17:17. Derivative questions. You know. You know. You know."

It was enough.... I knew! The emails and questions that Dawn was referring to were the interview questions I sent to Morrissey on November 30th - as mentioned on Day 2390 of FTM.

I tweeted to Dawn, "I take it you won't be answering them then. I don't blame you. FTM has no readers these days." Dawn replied, "Even more reason to answer them. Too many people read my latest interview as it is."

I wonder if that means that old Mozzer will answer my questions? I doubt it. And whilst on the subject of interviews, Morrissey gave an interview to someone called J.Beviglia a few weeks ago, mainly about Low In High School.

And whilst on the subject of Low In High School, WHAT an album it is. It just gets better and better with every listen. I genuinely feel that one day, in the future, when all's well, it will be seen as a masterpiece. I cannot wait to hear the songs live.

Anyway, back to Dawn. Here are the rest of her tweets:

"In the apparent hysteria surrounding the Doomsday Clock I have returned to show the way. Follow my light."(Ed - this was a reference to an announcement yesterday that we are closer to the end of the world than ever before. Maybe that is what has spurred Our Mozzer's return.)

Chart showing adjustments to Doomsday Clock since 1947
Before Dawn disappeared for the day, she asked me, "Do you find that with every re-birth the novelty wears off?" I replied, "Nope. I've come to realise that this 'thing' of ours is quite, quite special and unique. I love that no one believes."

In other news, in the past week or two, we have had three well known people from the entertainment world leave us: Delores O'Riordan, Peter Wyngarde (90) and Mark E Smith (60) - all three have a link of one kind or other to Morrissey. Perhaps these deaths are the reason Morrissey has decided to come back to The Wrong Arms. Maybe he realises that life is just too short. The three deaths are quite different - It would appear that Delores (Age 46) simply couldn't find enough reason to stay here, whilst Mark wasn't prepared to stop doing the damaging things that he enjoyed doing to give him a better chance of a longer life. Peter simply got old and his body withered away. None of the three have 'passed', and none will 'rest in peace', they have simply died, and that's as final as it can get.

In other, other news, Mike Joyce has tried to reunite The Smiths with a classical orchestra. He announced that himself, Andy Rourke and Craig Gannon would be going on tour as Classically Smiths...except Andy denied any involvement, and within a day, the whole thing was off. Piss-up and brewery don't even get anywhere near describing this fuck-uppery. Morrissey must have been laughing his head off.

I shall leave now, but Dawn has returned to The Arms again today, so I will report on her tweets tomorrow. It's great to have Our Mozzer back....we're gonna miss him when he's gone.

Day 2417 - "Tabula rasa"

Morrissey again returned to Twitter on Friday as lighthouse keeper, Dawn Mist (@DawnTheSecond), and was in an all embracing, loving mood, yet also having with him his wit and cutting edge. During the conversations that followed, Morrissey gave his own obituary of the recently departed Mark E. Smith, but more about that later.

Here is how Friday's conversation flowed:

DAWN:
And the flame has gone out
And I don't even sigh
And tears so proud
It pours like liquid arrogance
(Ed - I have no idea if these are lyrics from a song, or words from a poem, or Morrissey's own words. They're probably lyrics from a Patti Smith song, and I'll end up being called a philistine again.)

ME: Lovely words. For anyone in particular?

DAWN: For the many, for the few. For the lost, for the departed. For those who were bored before they even started.

ME: God, how I've missed you! *Licks seminal artist's face*

DAWN: Down my child.

HEATHER: Your light is needed more than ever. You've been dearly missed. How apropos to return on VW's Bday - we look to the lighthouse.

To The Lighthouse

DAWN: Has there been a power outage? The lighthouse brightness beams beyond borders.

HEATHER: It has been very dark and dreary around here. I was wondering how much longer I could go on.

DAWN: Welcome to my world.

Image result for morrissey in the dark ball

DAWN: For those who are destroyed by the collapse of Classical Smiths they should comfort themselves in the knowledge that the last ember of The Smiths is on tour ever so soon.

EARS: Anywhere in particular that you are looking forward to?

DAWN: A mental institution, a coffin, the ground.

ME: Sounds like Southampton.

DAWN: Or your past, present and distant present.

DAWN: I commit murder with a flippant touch with a voice to make man pull up his trousers.

Image result for morrissey singing jack ripper

EARS: Thank heavens you have not changed a bit.

DAWN: What would be the point in that? In this business too many people change to suit their situation at that time. I am me, for better and worse. Usually somewhere in the middle.

DAWN: There will be no rebukes. No knowledge of past crimes. My arms are open and I invite you to crash into them.

DAWN (To Kerry - who had tweeted about algebra): Are you studying the ancient art of mathematics to become that wretched drummers accountant?

KERRY: The drummer's accounts would certainly give more of an insight to your accounts. I'll confirm how much that double garage cost.

DAWN: Believe me when I say I know how much the double garage cost.

KERRY: And yet he can't find a decent hairstylist.

DAWN: He never washes his hair so no hairstylist will touch him. Bogdan from down the street will do it for a potato but that's as far as it goes.

(Ed - Morrissey first mentioned to us that Joyce had a "garage big enough for two cars" in October 2015 - as reported on Day 1485 of FTM)

ME (To Dawn): I wonder if @sadglamour (Marianne) will want to rejoin you? Or @papasonsfilm (Marcus) ? Or @GirlOnBike1102 (GOB) ? Or @comradeharps ? I miss them all - they were all a major part of the story. Are your arms even open to Chuck?

DAWN: Tabula rasa

(Ed - Yes, of course I had to look it up! I bet everyone did. It is a Latin phrase meaning 'blank slate'. With this, Marcus, GOB and even Lizzy returned to the fold and started to join in, but Marianne blocked us all.)

DAWN: We have all been blocked but to be blocked in 24 hours shows a distinct short term-ism. But I understand.

(Ed - the problem for Marianne is that if she joins in, she is therefore accepting to herself that this really is Morrissey, which means that she also has to accept that he previously criticised her, and she can't live with her God criticising her. By blocking it all out, Marianne can pretend this isn't happening.... but she misses out on interacting with Moz - I too understand. It is a shame that Marianne can't just put the past behind, like others have, and just join in. She is one of the few who has this unique opportunity.)

MARIANNE - BLOCKING IT OUT

MARCUS: How can I resist? How can I ever say "no". My heart is always open.

DAWN: Welcome back. I do not issue apologies you understand. But we find our way to where we are meant to be. Usually.

MARCUS: I'm not the "expecting an apology" type....I'm much more interesting than that.

DAWN: Well let's not go too far too soon old boy.

MARCUS THE GREEK - OPEN HEART

ME: You are far more forgiving than your reputation would have us believe.

DAWN: I was unaware I had a reputation aside from establishment pariah.

ME: I'm pretty sure it's not just the establishment who you have fallen out with. Is your heart open to Joyce?

DAWN: Joyce doesn't have a heart so he can never understand.

(Ed - there goes Tabula whats-it!)

GOB (To Dawn): How did you know that I am in need of a hug?

DAWN: Seminal intuition.

(Ed - I LOVE this!)

ME: The family are getting back together.

DAWN: I await the family dispute.

ME: Inevitable. It's what we all do.

DAWN: Nothing is inevitable.

ME: Except death.

DAWN: Even then... Alan Sugar still alive.

DAWN: Mark E.Smith could never be explained so he was never in the mainstream. The Hip Priest was too far ahead of the music journalist and they do not like that.

Morrissey has made no public comment about the death of Mark E. Smith, so I decided to tweet Dawn's words as a Morrissey quote using the @BlueRoseSociety account. It has since been retweeted and favourited by many people, and yet only one (@LewisCale) bothered to ask me if it was a genuine Morrissey quote, everyone else has just presumed it to be real. It goes to prove how people just accept everything they read without question....but we already know that.

Dawn's only appearance on Twitter yesterday was to tweet, "There is a presence pervading the place and it has an aura of old age and general decay."

Has Moz tired of us already, or could the use of the words "general decay" be a hint that Stretch Out And Wait is to be on the setlist for the new tour?.... I think the latter is just wishful thinking, but hopefully the former isn't right either.

Whilst on the subject of hints and tours, back on August 22nd 2016 the Morrissey pessoa, Broken, tweeted a picture of the Scottish flag and the word, "December". Dawn then tweeted a picture of a lighthouse in Aberdeen. At that time, I took it to mean that a tour was to be announced for December 2016, and that Aberdeen would be the starting place. As it happened, any UK tour that may have been intended for the winter of 2016 didn't happen, but in 19 days time, a new tour IS starting....beginning in Aberdeen! A delayed coincidence?

Dawn the Second has managed to pick up 53 followers since opening the Twitter account on Thursday.... it appears that there are more people who realise that this really is Morrissey than I had thought - the silent observers, peeking in through the window of The Wrong Arms. Maybe with this rebirth, they will join in.

There Is A Light That Never Goes Out

Day 2419 - "Money leeching scum"

Dawn Mist made a very fleeting visit to The Wrong Arms yesterday evening at 6pm, and posted just one tweet:

"Beckham launches MLS team. MLS meaning money leeching scum."

Strong words from our favourite lighthouse keeper - she obviously isn't a fan of Beckham Inc.

DAVID BECKHAM - NOW A SUIT

'SUPPORTERS' OF BECKHAM'S NEW MIAMI TEAM.... A TEAM WHICH DOESN'T ACTUALLY EXIST YET, AND HAS NO PLAYERS

Dawn's only other action on Twitter was to 'favourite'/'like' (or whatever it is) this tweet that I had posted earlier in the day:

"Looking forward to seeing/hearing this live (hopefully) - Who Will Protect Us From The Police?"

Dawn's followers are now numbered at 60.

In other news, contributors to the Morrissey-Solo website have been quick to dismiss the obituary given by Morrissey (as Dawn) for Mark E. Smith as a fake. They are once again accusing me of being the faker behind this whole thing. Oh, the poor little fools.

Just seventeen days until the tour starts, and just nine days until I fly to New York.

Day 2420 - Throttled

$

My blog entry of yesterday received the lowest number of page views since I first started writing FTM back in 2011 - it also received zero comments, which hasn't happened for a very long time - I have lost my audience. But writing for an audience is not why I do this, it is merely my diary of Morrissey posting 'unseen' on the internet, and if people aren't interested in that, then more fool them.

Morrissey returned to Twitter again yesterday as Dawn Mist, and tweeted:

"I have spent countless years gripping onto a life that is intent on only throttling."- it doesn't get more Morrisseyesque than that!

Image result for morrissey strangled

I replied to the above tweet with, "And yet you continue to grip, which must mean you still prefer it to the alternative. Life is merely a survival game." Morrissey's response was both cutting and witty:

"I don't believe it is otherwise you would have been knocked out after the first roll of the dice."

C**t!
Image result for morrissey laughing

Dawn's only other tweet of yesterday was in response to a Twitter user called @ghost_93_ , who had tweeted Dawn the song Liar by the Sex Pistols:

"Existence makes liars of us all. I am he. Believe me. Although I have uttered that before."

I am now at the point where I don't think it is possible for anyone who hasn't been on this journey since 2011 to believe that this really is Morrissey, and I understand that, it's just too....unlikely. And yet, we HAVE managed to pick people up in recent months and years who do believe it to be true, so I am obviously wrong. I  love this journey!

n other news, a journalist called David Barnett (@DavidMBarnett) has written a piece in the Grauniad about the shambolic Classically Smiths thingy. In the article Barnett writes that neither Morrissey or Marr have commented publicly on the aborted project, so I let Dave know (via Twitter) that Morrissey had actually commented (See FTM Day 2417). Dave then asked me where, so I told him, "On Twitter. Seek with eyes (and mind) wide open, and ye shall find."

If DaveBarnett is a proper journalist, he will look through my Twitter timeline, find the hidden Morrissey, read this blog to get the full picture, and then break the story about Morrissey secretly being on the internet for the past six years without anyone noticing.....but he won't do any of that, because investigative journalism is as dead as my readership.

Day 2421 - Inspiration

$

0
Dawn popped into The Arms last night at 7.30 just to play It's The Same Old Song by the Four Tops on the video juke box, and tweet:

"Inspiration? Where do I find it?"

The video for It's The Same Old Song was, of course, the inspiration for the Jacky's Only Happy When She's Up On The Stage video, as mentioned on Day 2372 of FTM.

I have nothing else to report today, so instead, let's take a trip through the FTM archives.

On Feb 1st 2016 (Day 2066 of FTM), I reported how Dawn had tweeted, "I'd NEVER start at midnight, you'd do well to NEVER remember that." It was a clue to Morrissey's start time at the Mexican Roxy Festival that would take place on April 1st....at which Morrissey came on stage at ten minutes past midnight.

On Feb 1st 2014, Our Mozzer was busy handing out bans, whilst Heather was writing about Jean Cocteau - FTM Day 871 - was this really four years ago?

On Feb 1st 2013, Barrett's Oesophagus had reared it's ugly head, but with it came a number of 'coincidences': FTM Day 506.

On Feb 1st 2012, Our Mozzer had just linked FTM on his blog, putting me 'into the game' - FTM Day 140.

And finally, the new tour starts this month. Happy days are here again.

Day 2461 - "Farewell my friends"

$

0
I am still buzzing from Saturday's concert at The Palladium, and haven't witnessed any symptoms of the post-concert blues which usually occur after seeing old Mozzer. The songs from Saturday just won't leave my head, and I must have watched the Youtube footage of You'll Be Gone about a million times - WHAT A SONG! WHAT A GREAT COVER OF THE SONG!

I spent this morning compiling the weekly Wrong Arms Chart, and whilst going through Twitter to see what songs had been played in the last seven days, I came across YET ANOTHER'coincidence'. On Wednesday, whilst in conversation with GOB (remember her?) about wanting to hear the song Israel live, I tweeted, "I have hopes for this Saturday in the intimate London Palladium.... but they're not high hopes", and I then linked a Youtube clip of High Hopes by Frank Sinatra..... and whose name was the first on that Top 10 Most Incredible List that Morrissey read out at The Palladium? - FRANK SINATRA!

What is more, I also remembered that I finished my blog entry of Saturday morning with some lyrics from My Way - it's a double Frank coincidence!

Image result for frank sinatra london palladium 1960

And as I have mentioned the subject of the song Israel, I should also point out that Morrissey actually came out on stage at The Palladium to the opening chords from it....teaser.

Next stop for Morrissey is the Viva Latino Festival in Mexico in four days time.

Image result for viva latino morrissey

There are no other scheduled concerts after the Mexico Festival, so what will Morrissey be doing after that? Well, it looks as though he may be going back into the studio, to finish a 'half-finished' album. My thanks to one of the newest members of the BRS, Mozza Kev (@MozzaKev), who linked me to a Youtube clip of Morrissey's producer, Joe Chiccarelli, being interviewed. In the interview Joe is asked about Morrissey and replies, "It's amazing to see the cult of his fan-base. And, um, we've done, er, two and a half albums together. We're about to go back in the studio and finish that half of an album that we didn't finish." - HOW EXCITING! The youtube interview with Joe C has now been deleted!Image result for joe chiccarelli morrissey
JOE 'LUCY LIPS' CHICCARELLI

And finally, Journalists Who Lie is back in the lower echelons of the charts thanks to the incompetence this week of Dannii Leivers (writing/lying for Clash Music) and Shaun Curran (writing/lying for the Independent). My message to Dippii Dannii and Copy & Paste Curran is, go and find a job more fitting to your talents - journalism just isn't for you. There must be some job you would be good at? How about retrieving lobsters ?

And finally, finally, I forgot to write in my blog entry of yesterday, that as I left the Stalls (that's the ground floor arena to you Americans) of The Palladium on Saturday, I passed well known British film director/documentary maker, Don Letts.... and yet aren't all those who attend Morrissey concerts supposed to be rabid racists? Oh, Uncle Skinny, is there ANYTHING you've got right?

Image result for don letts activist

And finally, finally, finally, Morrissey (as Dawn) made a visit to The Wrong Arms, just as I started to countdown the chart. At 12:52pm Moz tweeted, "Farewell my friends", and played All You Need Is Me on the jukebox. He then closed his Dawn Twitter account.

We're going to miss him when he's gone.... and for now, he has gone.

Day 2462 - Chapter of Accidents

When Morrissey (as Dawn) tweeted, "Farewell my friends" yesterday afternoon, and then closed the Dawn Mist Twitter account, I presumed that we wouldn't be seeing anymore of Moz around these parts for a while, and also thought that it may be the last we ever see of the Dawn pessoa, but I am pleased to report, I was wrong.

At 9.13pm yesterday evening, Dawn posted a comment on my blog entry of Day 2209, which was published on June 24 2017 with the title 'The Test of Naked Male Flesh'. I presume Dawn chose to post her comment on that particular blog page because it is an entry about new album track titles, and my blog entry of yesterday included mention of a new Morrissey album. Here is Dawn's comment:

Morrissey's forthcoming album "Chapter of Accidents" track listing (guaranteed number one in Lithuania).

1) Danger to National Security
2) My Bed is a Danger Zone
3) Intelligentsia is Dead
4) Insiders Asset
5) Underestimated at Peril
6) I Found My Place on Earth and Still Left
7) England Is Part Morgue and Part Retirement Home
8) Jailer of Vanity
9) Charade of Germany
10) Bad Omens I Tend to Ignore
11) Migraine in The Medicine Cabinet
12) Milestone of Circumstance
13) My Final Resting Place

BONUS TRACKS*
1) Poisoning Spies in Salisbury is My Favourite Pastime
2) Only God Can Judge Me but He's Spending His Time with You
3) Chief Aggravator
4) The Book of Fallacies: From Unfinished Papers of Jeremy Bentham to be read out by @TheRatsBack

*Bonus tracks will not be available in HMV.

BONUS BONUS TRACK 1) I Touched My Reflection in The Mirror And Now I Am Suing Myself For Sexual Harassment #metoo #timesup

I wonder if there is any relevance to the mention of bonus tracks not being available in HMV - an independent only record shop release perhaps? Probably not.

Dawn's album track titles are very amusing, and I am particularly honoured to have a guest spot reading Bentham; although it will come as no surprise to anyone that I had no idea who Jeremy Bentham was, so I googled him, to find out about the man whose unfinished papers I shall be reading.

It transpires that Bentham was an English philosopher, born in the 18th century, whose main principle was that, "it is the greatest happiness of the greatest number that is the measure of right and wrong". The list of things Bentham advocated, have lead me to believe he was one of the good guys, and he also would appear to have been ahead of his time - many philosophers are.

An album titled A Chapter of Accidents already exists; by Polish goregrind band Dead Infection, but as to whether or not Morrissey has been influenced by this album, I do not know, but sincerely hope not.

It is very exciting to know that a new Morrissey album is going to be coming so soon after the last one, although it isn't a huge surprise, as we were given a hint to it by Morrissey (as Morfessa) towards the back end of last year, when he tweeted, "Hidden recordings may surface oh so soon."

As to the real track names that will appear on the new Morrissey LP, I guess we will just have to be patient, but we do already know of six new titles that have been added to the BMI Repertoire: Lover To Be, I Couldn't Understand Why People Laughed, Brow Of My Beloved, Diana Dors, Blue Dreamers Eyes and This Song Doesn't End When It's Over. Presumably if all goes well in the recording studio, we may get the new album in the early part of next year - maybe it will be released on Friday March 29th to celebrate Brexit happening. If Morrissey wants to try and get the album to Number 1, his best bet will be a January release, as there is never much competition around then.... although whether or not Morrissey's fans will have enough money available after Christmas to buy all fifty seven versions of the LP is another matter.

Following on from the posting of his comment on FTM yesterday, Morrissey then reactivated the Dawn Twitter account and tweeted, "Is it better to kill desire or to harbour thoughts of what can never be?"

I wasn't online at the time, so didn't reply, but what was rather nice was that ten other people did reply, including a few new bods - it would seem that there are more people starting to believe....although not that many, as Dawn still only has 96 followers. My favourite response was from longtime believer, 'Hockey boy Harrison' (@OdysseyNumber5), who simply tweeted a photo of one of the stage invaders from last Saturday.

And finally for today, as Britain continues to mourn the loss of Ken Dodd, we are reminded of Morrissey's quote about Dodd from March 1984, when asked by the NME to name his favourite comedian:

It has been announced today that former Bullseye presenter, Jim Bowen has died. The only Morrissey link to Bowen is when The Sun compared the two, which was, er, rather amusing actually.

Day 2463 - "Recording, recording, record..."

It would appear that the recording of a new Morrissey album; which I wrote about yesterday (and also mentioned on Tuesday), is a lot closer than anyone might have imagined, i.e. it's happening NOW!

Morrissey and the band are all currently in Mexico to play the Viva Latino Festival on Saturday, but also in Mexico at the moment is producer Joe Chiccarelli, and what is more, Morrissey (as Dawn) has tweeted me saying, "Recording, recording, record...." - THEY'RE IN THE STUDIO I TELL YER! If this is true; and there is no reason to believe that it isn't, then we could even have a new album THIS YEAR.

Joe C yesterday tweeted a picture of a house, and added the words, "Love the Art Deco homes in La Condessa Mexico City." Could this actually be a clue as to where they are recording? - There is a recording studio in Mexico City called Artco....... or does Joe simply like Art Deco houses?

Morrissey and the band have also appeared on Mexican TV today, performing Jacky's Only Happy When She's Up On The Stage. The band wore those turquoise suits again.

Aside from Morrissey contacting me regarding the recording, I also had another message from Dawn just after 7pm (UK time) yesterday, as follows:

"I have had quite an interesting conversation today, which included you. It wasn't face to face. It was twitter. I wouldn't want you to think I waste my precious breath on you (Ed - charming!). They've said they now believe all this to be true as you didn't get a concert ban, which I found extremely hilarious, and useful for the future perhaps. If I ban you all the blame for any crimes fall in your lap. Mind the pun. Anyway, please feel free to eat your murder tea, which no doubt you are currently doing, and ignore little old me."

Having finished my murder tea (how did he know?), I sent a message back asking why I would be banned? Dawn replied, "Apparently you've threatened my integrity, which of course is true. I'd never... Etc etc."

All of those hundreds of 'coincidences', and yet it is me NOT being banned from Morrissey concerts which convinces someone that all this is true.... and yet it is a valid point. Morrissey has had fans banned from concerts recently for things they have written online, and yet the lying fantasist who has been making outrageous claims about Morrissey for the past six and a half years, greatly affecting his integrity, is greeted fondly at The Palladium by tour manager, Donnie. Well, I wonder.

The someone who was chatting to Dawn was actually Dan Abnormal (@nothappysad75) - he told me earlier today. I thought Dan already believed, but maybe my 'non ban' was the cement he needed.

My only problem now is, if the heat were to ever be turned up on this secret little world of Morrissey's, I could very well be given a concert ban so that all crimes land in my lap, but surely Our Mozzer would never do that to little old me..... would he? Too right he f***ing would!

In other news, I had tweeted about Fabian Forte the other day, and yesterday my tweet was retweeted by his wife, Andrea (@MrsFabianForte). I asked Andrea if she was aware that Morrissey had been using a picture of Fabian as a stage backdrop, and asked if she was aware that the You Are the Quarry cover was influenced by Fabian. I also asked if Fabian was a fan of Moz. Andrea replied:

"@TheFabianForte has always been a fan of Morrissey and knew about the inspiration for his album cover from his movie Pretty Boy Floyd. Thank you."

I asked if Fabian had ever met or corresponded with Morrissey, and got the reply, "No he's never had the pleasure."

Fabian (@TheFabianForte) has just three followers on Twitter, although he doesn't actually tweet very much; in fact, it looks like just one tweet a year. According to Andrea, "He doesn't like social media and he likes to laugh."

Morrissey's appearance on Mexican TV yesterday has come in for a bit of a slating from some fans, with it being described as "chaotic". Morrissey's lip synching and the band's "wooden" dance moves have come in for particular criticism. I awoke this morning to find a comment posted on Twitter by Dawn (at 1:53am UK time, 7:53pm Mexico time) saying, "Blame for Sale El Sol must be directed @TheRatsBack also."

Great! Not only am I the fall-guy for MorrisseysWorld, I am now to blame for EVERYTHING!

Yesterday I reported that Morrissey (as Dawn) had sent me a Twitter message to say that they are recording, and I took this to mean that the band was recording/finishing the new album, but I may have been getting a little carried away. It has today been announced that Morrissey is recording a session for a Mexican TV station, to be screened later in the month, so perhaps this is what Dawn was referring to, and not a new album. I guess we will find out soon enough.

MORRISSEY SET - READY FOR 'IN SESSION FOR TNT'

Following publication of my blog entry of yesterday; in which I made mention of a certain Dan Abnormal now being convinced that Morrissey is behind this whole thing, a number of comments were left by Dan DENYING he believes, and suggesting that it is all the work of a faker, and that "at best, Morrissey plays along." What an unexpected turnaround!

After Dan had posted his comments, I received a Twitter DM from Dawn, which read, "How entertaining! I do like this Dan chap very much. I like the uncertainty his comments will bring."

I started to smell a rat....and I have a good sense of smell for rats!

Image result for RAT SNIFFING

For someone who now seems to be very much distancing themselves from believing, Dan has been VERY helpful in the past with things I have missed. For instance, last September; when Morfessa had tweeted, "Dawn of the Black Hearts", and I had no idea what it meant, who was it who pointed me in the right direction? DAN!

And just three days ago, when a new album was being discussed by me on FTM, who was it who posted a comment to remind us that Morfessa had mentioned new songs appearing soon? DAN!

It would seem to me that Doubting Dan is playing a game, and my thought is that perhaps old Mozzer has asked him to put people off the scent. Maybe M is concerned that all the recent 'coincidences' have been too much, and he feels this little secret world of his is in danger of being exposed.

I wouldn't want this secret world of ours to be exposed either, so I guess I shouldn't be trying to discredit Dan, I should just leave his comments there to let people be put off, but there is something in me that compels me to blog my thoughts. Also, I don't have any fear of our story being exposed - the masses really don't want to know about our world. Only yesterday I got into a discussion with a Morrissey fan on Twitter called Paddy Maguire (@ModernMorrissey), and he just wouldn't have it that this story of ours is real. Paddy tweeted, "He said last week he's not on twitter. He also stamped on a blue rose. I saw him at Ally Pally and he rejected every rose chucked at him. Just give up." - Clueless! We're quite safe.

MORRISSEY - ROSE REJECTER....WITH A ROSE AT THE ROYAL ALBERT HALL LAST WEEK

So, now that I have no fear of our amazing story being exposed, there is one question I need answered - Who is Dan Abnormal?

It did occur to me that it might be Moz himself, but then I remembered that Dan had tweeted me whilst Morrissey was on stage last Saturday at The Palladium, so that ruled him out.

I decided the best place to try and find clues about Dan was by looking through his tweets. This morning he tweeted, "Watched @rickygervais Humanity last night. Enjoyable would recommend." He then retweeted a few fans of Ricky Gervais.

Naturally, this got me suspicious, so with tongue firmly in cheek, I asked Dan, "Is Ricky Gervais still alive?" He replied, "Indeed. You should watch it. Might cheer you up!" I responded by saying, "I'm not uncheered! I saw one of the warm-up shows he did in Finchley....were you there?" and got the reply, "Regrettably not. I had a unfortunate run-in with a peanut."

For some reason, the comment about a peanut received a 'like' by Dawn.

Could it really be that Ricky Gervais is Dan, and is there an in joke between Gervais and Morrissey about a peanut? Morrissey has told us a number of times on this journey that Gervais was involved in writing some of the articles on the MorrisseysWorld blog. Hmm.

Image result for gervais peanut

The only other person who I thought might be Dan is Bitchy Bobby Neville, but he has denied it.... well he would, wouldn't he, but I believe him.

One of the comments left on FTM yesterday by Dan was, "I am calling Dawn a liar". Following this, Dawn sent me a DM saying, "I do lie a lot - it's really useful..."- ain't that the truth!

Tomorrow, Morrissey plays the Viva Latino Festival.

Despite the incredible revelation in my blog entry of Friday that Ricky Gervais and Morrissey are both secretly using Twitter accounts to interact with each other and Morrissey fans, I haven't been contacted by one single journalist wanting to investigate my claim further.

Related image

It is of course no surprise that I haven't been contacted by any journalists as, after all, news websites aren't interested in anything remotely interesting, mystical or taxing, they just want click bait. A perfect example of this came on Saturday, when an article about Morrissey written by Nick Halsted was published by The Independent . The piece is SO poor that Morrissey's 'management' have issued a statement on the official Morrissey Facebook account stating that it was an article full of 'old news, no news and fake news'.

I have skimmed through the article and it really is just a nothing piece, cobbled together just to slag Morrissey off for no apparent reason. Hasted's time could have been far better spent reading FTM and then producing an exclusive on how Morrissey has been unique and innovative in the way he has secretly communicated with his fans, but that wouldn't be part of the agenda - the Independent is anything but independent.

NICK HALSTED AND HELPER

Going back to my revelation about Ricky Gervais, not only has no journalist been in touch, but I have also not had any FTM readers/BRS members contact me to say that they agree with me. Heather posted a comment to say that she had always had her suspicions about the Twitter a character, Dan Abnormal (@Nothappysad75), but she didn't express an opinion as to whether or not she thought he could be Gervais. Am I completely and utterly wrong? Am I free in the truth of make-believe?
Neither Dawn nor Dan Abnormal have made comment either way; in fact, since I published the blog entry of Friday, Dawn hasn't been seen at all, whilst Dan's only tweet was a retweet yesterday of....Ricky bloody Gervais! I have to admit, Dan's retweeting of Gervais did make me smile. The tweet in question read, "Everyone agrees with free speech until they hear something they don't like." Ain't that the truth.

STOP PRESS - As I write, Dan has just tweeted to @RickyGervais asking if my revelation is true. As Gervais has over 13 million Twitter followers and receives thousands of tweets a day, there is NO WAY that he would see Dan's tweet, let alone respond to it, so if he does reply; even with the word "no", it would be absolute confirmation to me that Dan is Ricky....although I think I would still be in a minority of one. Would I be able to make people believe what they would never believe?.....well, having spent the past six and a half years trying without success, I think the answer is a firm NO!

Aside from Twitter accounts which may or may not belong to the funniest man to have emerged from Reading since Oscar Wilde was released from the town's gaol, Morrissey has completed the last live show on this most recent run. On Saturday he played in Mexico City, and from the footage I have seen, it was yet another great concert, and a fitting finale to the current tour. The only new additions to the set were First of the Gang To Die and Alma Matters. I guess it is no real surprise that First of the Gang was played in Mexico, but the fact that it is a song with a 'Dawn' lyric, made me smile.

My previous thought that Morrissey and the band might be in Mexico for a while to complete the next LP seem to be wide of the mark. Tweets by both Joe Chiccarelli and Boz Boorer over the weekend have confirmed that their Mexican adventures are over, with Joe tweeting, "Great session this week at Panoram Studios" while Boz tweeted a photo of a very young self just starting out in the business along with the words, "Wow, made me laugh, so many yrs & many laughs, the formative yrs were so great in so many ways, as I sit in a Mexico hotel awaiting transport to fly home after playing a show to 85000 crazy Hispanics, where did all the years go? I know I am v happy they went where they did xx".

If they did record the remainder of a new album, then they certainly got on with it quickly. There was never any actual confirmation that Joe C was working with Morrissey, he could have just been a coincidence that he was in Mexico at the same time.....but unlikely.

Boz's tweet read almost like a retirement speech, but surely Boz can't be thinking of retiring?

That'll do for today. With the live shows now over, and with the recording session also over, we await the next chapter.

Day 2474 - I bid farewell

There has been no sign of our Mozzer in The Wrong Arms for over a week, and so as I have no Mozziah to follow, and no tour to report on anymore, it is time for me to bid farewell - for now at least.

The 'Morrissey In Session'for Mexican TV was broadcast last Friday, and it amounted to three songs: Jacky, When You Open Your Legs and Day In Bed. As to whether or not any other recording took place at the Panoram Studios whilst producer Joe Chiccarelli was with the band, who knows.

Friday also saw the latest single from Low In High School released on lovely 7 inch vinyl. It is My Love, I'd Do Anything For You, which despite being an excellent song, will receive NO radio airplay, particularly as the opening line is far too political for the likes of Radio 2.

NEW SINGLE - OUT NOW

I can't ever imagine the day arriving when I stop buying vinyl, but yesterday something rather momentous did take place in my life, I subscribed to Spotify - I am now officially a streamer. The only reason I signed up to Spotify is because it was effectively free to do so. My two kids already pay £5 each a month for the streaming service, and yesterday Mrs TheRatsBack (aka Mrs Whiskers) decided she needed to become a streamer - mainly because her new car doesn't have a CD player. Not being entitled to a student discount, Mrs TRB was going to have to pay £10 a month, but it transpires that there is a Family Spotify for £15, so it was a no brainer for me to jump on board too - we are now a streaming family, but I do feel as though I have committed an act of betrayal.  Here is a reminder of what Morrissey had to say about streaming in that interview for FTM of last April:

"Streaming is the tomb into which artistic integrity will soon lower itself into. One has no emotional attachment to something that can be played at the click of a button and re-played, and re-played and re-played. It is unlikely that Sheeran or any of the other parade of PR popstars you have listed have ever spent their own money on music and therefore they devalue it completely. Rihanna would not pay $10 for her own album but she can sit at home, with the sound down on her electronic device, and listen to her own songs for as long as she wants. One wonders if streaming is a record company ploy which would explain why I am never streamed. Streaming is an easy victory. Have any of these people muttered or stuttered a single word of importance? Perhaps I should have kept my mouth shut all those years ago and today I would be considered of greater importance than David Bowie or at least Limahl."

Image result for limahl

With streaming now being so cheap, downloading is effectively dead. It was announced last week that both vinyl and CDs are now consistently outselling Downloads for the first time since 2011, but that isn't anything much to celebrate as sales of physical music are also in decline as the streaming monster just gets bigger and bigger.

Before I sign off, I feel I must make a list of the highlights, the 'coincidences' and other events that occurred during the UK tour. It really was an incredible few weeks, and hopefully we won't have to wait too long to see Mozzer back on the stage.

FEBRUARY 16TH - ABERDEEN
1. Hugh Clark banned for life from Morrissey concerts because of things he'd posted on social media.
2. The Four Tops song It's The Same Old Scene added to the pre-concert video montage - Dawn Mist had posted the video on Twitter on January 31st
3. Morrissey dances like it's 1984
4. Live debuts of I Bury The LivingThe Girl From Tel-Aviv and Israel - the two latter songs weren't to be played again all tour.
5. Finger plaster worn and a heart shaped sweat patch on the shirt - both nods to MorrisseysWorld

FEBRUARY 17TH - GLASGOW
A new blog piece featuring Nicola Sturgeon is posted on TrueMorrissey at 5pm. Four hours and forty minutes later, whilst on stage, Morrissey mentions Nicola Sturgeon - a coincidence.

FEBRUARY 20TH - DUBLIN
Morrissey sings a snippet of Alone Again (Naturally)

FEBRUARY 23RD - NEWCASTLE
In the afternoon I tweet that You'll Be Gone is the perfect set opener. Dawn tweets me to say blatant song hinting will be ignored and then, for the first time in seventeen shows, Morrissey doesn't open with You'll Be Gone, and in fact drops it from the set completely - another coincidence.

FEBRUARY 24TH - LEEDS
The show closes with imagery from Jean Cocteau's Blood of a Poet - a possible nod to the MorrisseysWorld journey

FEBRUARY 27TH - BIRMINGHAM
Morrissey sings a snippet of Somwhere during the Speedway pause

MARCH 1ST - BRIXTON
1.The Last of the International Playboys is added to the set with a photo of Fabian as the backdrop
2. Prominent 'O' sign made as Morrissey walks out on stage - a nod to MorrisseysWorld
3. No shirt toss for the first time in ages - a possible reverse touch of the cap to MorrisseysWorld

MARCH 3RD - BRIGHTON
1. Morrissey catches a rose during How Soon is Now and places it down his trousers
2. Sings All You Need is Me with the aforementioned rose down his trousers

MARCH 7TH - ALBERT HALL
1. Morrissey welcomes the audience by saying, "Welcome to My World" - a HUGE nod to MorrisseysWorld. The very same words were also tweeted by Dawn in a Twitter conversation on January 26th of this year.
2. Morrissey accepts a rose during I'm Not Sorry
3. The words "rosebud mouth" are sung during Speedway and during the pause, a snippet of Roy Orbison's It's Over

MARCH 9TH - ALEXANDRA PALACE
1. Morrissey sings Glamorous Glue, which had been requested by BRS member Robert Neville via Twitter
2. Having closed his DawnTheSecond Twitter account in the afternoon, straight after singing Glamorous Glue Morrissey announces, "Never have I tweeted, I've never had Twitter".

MARCH 10TH - LONDON PALLADIUM
1. Despite allegedly being a lying fantasist who has made up the whole MorrisseysWorld story, I was greeted fondly by tour manager, Donnie, and NOT banned.
2. Following on from my blog entry of the previous day, in which I had written that with the tour ending, Morrissey the nightingale would die, Morrissey entered the stage and cried, "I live on, I live on, I live on" before bursting into You'll Be Gone.

I shall now slip away into the real world, where I have a very busy time ahead. I have to oversee the merger and rebranding of one of my businesses, I am moving house after twelve very happy years in our current home, and of course I need to spend time saving all of those songs into my Spotify library. There is also the small matter of the new cricket season plus Pompey are pushing for the playoffs. I shall also be watching The Honourable Woman, as recommended by a certain some one. Adios.

Dawn again popped her head around the doors of The Wrong Arms yesterday - here are her comments:

In response to me posting a Twitter poll asking if FTM was A) Self Indulgent nonsense B) A future historical document or C) Fake news: "Your life boiled down to a poll. Seems remarkably apt. I voted for self indulgent claptrap myself."

(Ed - the result of the poll was a tie between A & B, which basically means FTM is a future historical document full of my self indulgent nonsense....which is pretty much spot on.)

In response to @BBCEngland tweeting, "Brighton Pride organisers suspend ticket sales after Britney Spears fans crash the website": "If ever there was a need for the IRA to resurface this is it."

(Ed - My jaw dropped, and then I wept with laughter. Old Mozzer is outrageous! - For those reading this who may not know what Dawn is referring to, it is the IRA bombing of a hotel in Brighton in 1984.)

"Searches her name on google. Realises nobody has mentioned her in two hours. Releases this. Better than releasing an album I suppose."

In response to someone asking, "Do you not like her voice?": "I do not think it's voice. More of a distressed chime. Or am I describing myself? One can hardly tell these days. I blame the sound of the lighthouse seagulls."

In response to Tim Johns (@timoncheese) (Jeremy Vine's producer on Radio 2) tweeting, "We had a caller on Radio 2 just now from Peterhead in Aberdeenshire who said he drinks two litres of Irn Bru every day. That would contain around 45 spoonfuls of sugar.": "Less than the majority of the UK then. Is he the next Mo Farah? But with a personality?"

(Ed - Dawn isn't actually following Tim on Twitter, so goodness only knows how she stumbled on this tweet. Is Moz a Jeremy Vine listener? Perhaps he was the Irn Bru guzzling caller from Aberdeen?)

In response to someone asking, "Are you open to requests?": "I am not a jukebox."

I enjoyed the little rummage through the archives that I posted yesterday, so thought I would do the same today:

On Feb 2nd 2012 (FTM Day 141), I wrote an absolutely hilarious parody piece about Morrissey being interviewed by a young journalist. I should write more of these, but I only ever seem to get inspiration if OM is writing his parodies.

On Feb 2nd 2016 (FTM Day 1603), Morrissey was nowhere to be seen, and The Loveless Go-Go Bar (which is now The Wrong Arms) was empty. I reported the tweets of Astra's Derrière (aka Mademoiselle Not Bot), but I found out a year later that this was NOT Morrissey, but was Rob pretending to be him....the cunt!

And finally, despite Dawn giving everyone a clean slate, and past crimes being ignored, I have been blocked on Twitter for no reason by that horror bore LizzyCatMoz, so she is once again banned from commenting on here. Stupid old hag.

Tuesday April 3 - New beginnings

When I wrote my previous blog entry just over a week ago, I didn't expect to be returning again so soon, but there have been happenings in the world of Morrissey.... BIG happenings.

First of all, a new 'official' Morrissey website has been launched - MorrisseyCentral.com - and it looks to be the replacement for True-To-You, which Morrissey hasn't used now for over a year.

MORRISSEY CENTRAL HOMEPAGE - FEATURING JOSÉ GRECO

The first articles placed on Morrissey Central; which launched last Wednesday, are the covers of all the recent singles, plus the cover for All The Young People, which would tend to suggest it is scheduled for release sometime soon.

There is also an article on M Central dated March 23rd (posted on 28th) titled Why The Independent Hates Independence, which is basically all about how the Independent newspaper; who recently published a scathing article about Morrissey, are anything but independent, which is what I wrote on March 19. Morrissey points out that the Independent are more interested in demonising him than reporting on the Telford grooming gangs.

Morrissey's mere mention of the Telford grooming gangs has had the likes of Uncle Skinny accusing him, once again, on Morrissey-Solo of being racist, simply because the Telford grooming gangs are muslims. In the eyes of the likes of Uncle Skinny, to even mention the Telford grooming case must instantly mean you are racist, in the same way that if you voted Brexit or question immigration policy, you are automatically racist. This sort of mindset is neither logical or rational, but unfortunately the easily-influenced in society, such as Uncle Skinny, read articles like the one in the Independent, or articles in other left-wing publications like the Guardian, and they believe what they read and are influenced by them. Exactly the same happens with those who read the influential right-wing media publications such as the Daily Mail or the Sun. There are NO independent newspapers, and therefore people really should STOP reading these things, unless they have the ability to understand that the authors are trying to influence them.

It's funny how a vast majority of those who criticise Morrissey, and publish lies about him, are white middle-aged men. Is it a jealousy thing? Who knows. I don't see the likes of Uncle Skinny (real name Peter Finan) giving comment about Anoosh Chakelian's article in the New Statesman, where she states, "I've always said the ethnicity of street groomers is an issue. We can't pretend that's not what's happening." Is Anoosh racist? I don't think so. Those, such as Peter Finan, who choose to ignore the fact that so many of these grooming cases involve muslim men, are apologists. Those who choose to ignore the fact that many religious groups, including muslims, treat their women as second class citizens, are enablers.

Anyway, back to Morrissey Central, and the biggest news of the week; in fact, the biggest news for twenty seven years.... Boz Boorer wasn't involved in a Morrissey recording session that took part last week!!! And neither were Gustavo Manzur or Mando Lopez!!!

There has been no announcement of anyone leaving the band, but an article published on Morrissey Central yesterday titled Back On The Chain Gang read as follows:

Morrissey has concluded recording at Sunset Sound in Los Angeles for Back On The Chain Gang. The song was written by Chrissie Hynde and was released by The Pretenders in 1982 when it reached number 17 in the UK, and number 5 in the USA. Joe Chiccarelli has produced Morrissey's Back On The Chain Gang, and the musicians are: Jesse Tobias (guitars), Solomon Walker (bass), Matthew Walker (drums), with Roger Manning on keyboards. Morrissey is hoping for a summer release for the single. Morrissey is presently number 1 with My Love, I'd Do Anything For You, and number 4 with Jacky's Only Happy When She's Up On The Stage in the UK vinyl singles chart.

PRESUMED COVER FOR BACK ON THE CHAIN GANG.... ALTHOUGH IT IS MISSING THE RPM AFTER THE 45, SO PERHAPS IT IS A WORK IN PROGRESS

So, has the Moz/Boz partnership come to an end? Has the hugely talented Gustavo Manzur left the band for good? Does Solomon's return mean that Mando is no longer part of the set-up? I did write a couple of weeks ago that I thought a certain tweet of Boz's read like a retirement speech, and
Heather seems to think she remembers Our Mozzer mentioning something about Boz wanting to retire.
It is certainly a huge commitment for anyone who is married to spend a life on the road; and when you are a member of Morrissey's band, it literally is life, so it would be perfectly understandable if Boz, Gustavo and Mando have decided that it is time for them to anchor down and be with their collective families, but surely if this was the case, there would have been a proper farewell, or at least an announcement. And if they haven't left the band, then why would Morrissey record without them? There are more questions than answers. I guess we will find out in time.

RICK....OR IS IT BRUCE, I DON'T RECALL!

In other news, I have discovered in the past few days that the numbering of the days of this FTM blog thingy are completely and utterly fucked up. It seems to have all gone wrong in July 2016 - the entry dated July 5th was Day 1756 and then 15 days later when I next blogged, for some reason I added 100 days and labelled it Day 1871. It isn't the first time that I've got the numbering wrong, and have had to amend quite a few others; which I really shouldn't do as sometimes (but not always) when I edit an entry, blogger then puts it as a new entry with a new date, instead of putting it back where it belongs. For this reason, I won't try and amend the numbering of the past two years, and from now on will just give each blog entry a date and title. If any editor one day tries to make sense of this blog and turn it into a book, they will certainly earn their money.

And finally, I have at last gotten around to watching The Honourable Woman, as recommended last December by Morrissey. It is an eight-part series based on the complexities of Israeli and Palestinian relations, and although Morrissey informed me that both this and The Promise (another Moz recommendation) were for "educational purposes", I still have no idea if I feel more sorry for the Israelis or the Palestinians - the whole place seems so fucked up. If nothing else, both of these series have given me a historical education, and they were both thoroughly enjoyable to watch.

*Goes off singing* The people sing when the warlords all burn, do not feel sad, it's simply their turn, they tried to wipe us clean off the map....

Tuesday April 10 2018 (The real and proper Day 2400) - Interlude

$

There has still been no sign of Morrissey in The Wrong Arms, and it would appear that we are very much in an interlude. There would also appear to be an interlude in Morrissey's professional career if the new article that has appeared on Morrissey Central is to be believed. The article; which was published yesterday, and is titled The Secret of Music, consists of the following:

1. Thanks to fans for the recent tour
2. A swipe at the art-hounds at The Independent and Guardian
3. Thanks to Radio 2
4. Top 12 Tour List
5. Thanks to venues for going 100% vegan
6. Release of Back On The Chain Gang
7. The Strange Death of Europe
8. Johnny Rogan
9. More thanks to fans

I'm not too sure why the article has been given the heading The Secret of Music, but it is clear that Morrissey is in a very good place at the moment. It starts off with Morrissey announcing,  "With great relief, some pride and joy, I express my sincere thanks to you for our recent UK/Mexico tour - which, impossibly, perhaps, seemed like our best yet." In what is possibly a nod to MorrisseysWorld, he goes on to use the word 'mesmerized', before once again using the word 'joy' and even throwing in 'happiness'..... did I mention that Morrissey is very obviously in a good place?

The thanks to Radio 2 is because they have added Jacky to their Playlist - better late than never. My Love, I'd Do Anything For You is currently spending it's second week at Number 1 in the UK Vinyl Singles Chart, so perhaps that will make it onto Radio 2's Playlist circa October 2019.

Morrissey's list of best concerts of the tour has the Palladium at Number 1, but I honestly think he randomly throws these tour lists together, with there being no real thought as to the best or worst. He no doubt laughs to himself as he reads the comments of fans who seem genuinely disgruntled that the concert they attended only made it to number 9. For the record, the Brighton concert came second to last.

According to yesterday's 'message', Back On The Chain Gang is scheduled for an August release, but only if, "the wind remains at our backs and in our sails" - ever the pessimist!

Morrissey adds, "If you find yourself at a loose end until then, please read Douglas Murray's The Strange Death Of Europe." It must be a bloody long book if it is going to take from now until August for people to read it. I for one am certainly not at a loose end, so won't be reading the book. Even if my ends were loose, as I haven't actually read a book since working my way through Enid Blyton's  The Enchanted Wood at the age of seven, I wouldn't be reading it anyway.

A quick search of Google tells me that The Strange Death Of Europe: Immigration, Identity, Islam, is basically Murray telling us how Europe has lost it's identity due to mass immigration and declining birth rates. Murray apparently rues this, and also throws in that the loss of Christian traditions is also bad news. Who needs to read a whole book when you have Google? If Google had been around in 1973, Enid Blyton would have had one less sale.... although as she died in 1968, she wouldn't have received the money anyway - Mike Joyce probably claimed it!

Although I would agree with Murray that multiculturalism doesn't work, I certainly don't think that a return to the fairytale land of Christianity is the answer, and it is annoying that so many people use Christianity as the alternative to the barbaric and woman hating religion of Islam. ALL RELIGIONS ARE MAN-MADE, and societies don't need ANY religion to be civilised - the world would be a much better place with NO religion. Without religion, multiculturalism would work.

As religion is very big business, and is here to stay, there isn't much point getting too worked up about it. I could let it bother me greatly that ALL of our world leaders; the so called intelligentsia, believe in a made-up God of some sort, but as there is nothing I can do about it, why let it concern me? And as to the subject of Europe losing it's identity, or indeed the UK losing it's identity, I won't let this concern me too much either. I actually believe it is only the major cities that are losing their identity, in much the same way that the major cities of the USA lost theirs all those years ago, and there is nothing that can be done to reverse this now. Places like Manchester and London have turned into unrecognisable places of 'non-culture', but how can that now change? Thankfully the provinces have managed to retain their identities, whilst at the same time embracing those who bring a different culture - immigration has never been a bad thing, only MASS immigration.

Going back to the Chain Gang single, I still find it quite strange that Morrissey went straight into the studio the minute the tour had finished to record without Boz, Gustavo or Mando. Why was there such a hurry, and why has there been no explanation as to why the three weren't part of the recording? My theory is that the three of them have said that they no longer want to continue with such a hectic schedule, but Morrissey doesn't want them to leave, and so therefore rushed into the studio with ready-made replacements in an attempt to try and make the three of them see what they were missing, in the hope that they reconsider. Time, as ever...

Johnny Rogan got a mention in the Moz Central Message because apparently he is putting another book about Morrissey together. It goes without saying that I didn't read the first one, so I won't be reading this new one, and won't even bother to google it.

*Goes off singing* No, nobody knows when love will end, so till then, sweet friend, time is like a dream, and now for a time you are mine, let's hold fast to the dream, that tastes and sparkles like wine

Tuesday April 17 2018 (The real and proper Day 2407) - More messages from Morrissey

A pattern seems to be emerging - Morrissey publishes something on his new Morrissey Central website on a Monday, and I then write a blog about it on a Tuesday.

Yesterday's Message From Morrissey is titled There Is A Light That Must Be Switched On, with a sub-heading, Morrissey Talks To John Riggers April 2018. The piece is a lengthy in-depth interview, which I can't reproduce here as there is a request that it isn't reproduced without the permission of John Riggers c/o Morrissey Central. I have no idea who John Riggers is, but apparently the interview is for a Portuguese publication in September.

Here are some of the highlights:

1. Morrissey is taking SPIN magazine to court for publishing something that could place him in danger - presumably the article from November with the very fake headline, 'Morrissey Says He Would Kill "Vermin" Donald Trump "For the Safety of Humanity"'. SPIN really won't be able to offer any defence, as Morrissey DIDN'T say those words.

2. Morrissey doesn't believe the UK will be allowed to leave the EU - "The EU wouldn't allow it to happen. It is now a dead issue."

3. "'Even Tesco wouldn't employ Diane Abbott."

4. The Smiths - "It was beautiful, but it's gone.""The Smiths was a great but simplistic time.""The Smiths were explosive during the Rank tour. Before that, we were fumbling about - me, especially. My voice wasn't great. The music was always solid."

5. Loves all his solo albums, with the exception of Viva Hate and Kill Uncle - "I wasn't ready. I rushed in too quickly. It was my fault."

6. Racism - "the word is actually meaningless". "The modern loony left seem to forget that Hitler was Left wing!""Racism is at its most abhorrent in relation to eating animals. If you eat animals, isn't it a display of hatred for a certain species? And what gives you the right to eat another species or race? Would you eat people from Sri Lanka?"

7. Politics/Animal welfare - "UKIP is dead". "There is a new party called For Britain. They have the best approach to animal welfare, whereas no other party even bothers to mention animal welfare."

8. Religion - "Animal rights must come before religion. Religion must cease to be the ONLY word. I am not interested in what people did ten thousand years ago."

9. New album - "It is under way."

10. On the subject of staying with BMG - "Well, they have very high walls." - (Ed - I think we can take that as a yes. Home may be a question mark, but Morrissey certainly seems to have found a home with BMG....or at least with Korda Marshall).

11. Privacy - "I'd like to play sports and swim and so forth but such places are usually full of people holding iPhones, and of course, before you know it there's a shot of you on someone's Facebook clinging to the parallel bars."

12. Low in High School Cover - "It wasn't actually my idea! The photograph was a big surprise to me and momentarily thought it was very funny. We were in a situation where artwork needed to be handed over instantly in order to meet a release deadline. I wish I'd had a bit longer to get it right."

13. Royal Family - "I am not fiendish where the House of Windsor is concerned. I resent being ordered to be in awe.""I wish no ill to anyone. I have been invited to Buckingham Palace three times". "Charles once sent a signed note. If I get a fourth invitation I will go. It seems rude not to! I am certain I could persuade Anne that eating horses isn't a nice thing to do."

14. Mayor of London - "The Mayor of London  tells us about "Neighborhood policin" - what is 'policin'? This is the Mayor of London! And he cannot speak properly! Civilisation is over!"

MAYOR OF LONDON - DROPS HIS G'S

15. London's Acid attacks - London is second only to Bangladesh for acid attacks. All of the attacks are non-white, and so they cannot be truthfully addressed by the British government or the Met Police or the BBC because of political correctness. What this means is that the perpetrator is considered to be as much a victim as the actual victim. We live in the age of Atrocity."

16. On the subject of debate - "Diverse opinion is banned in England, debate is over. The most offensive thing you can do in modern Britain is to have an opinion and to talk clearly."

17. Concerts - "I believe Austria and Finland are on course for July."

As is the case following EVERY Morrissey interview these days, the loony liberal left-wing media have come out with all guns aimed at Morrissey with, of course, The Guardian leading the way - what a pitiful publication this once great newspaper has become.

And also, as has become the norm these days following an interview, a number of Morrissey's own so called fans come out to denounce him. One such fan this time around is Sean O'Callaghan (aka Fat Gay Vegan), who has posted a blog piece called We've Lost Our Boy.  It would seem that O'Callaghan doesn't like Morrissey giving support to the one political party that stands up for animal rights, and finds it offensive that Morrissey has criticised someone for not speaking proper English. You couldn't make this up. I am sure Morrissey will lose no sleep whatsoever knowing that the likes of O'Callaghan will no longer be attending concerts.

O'CALLAGHAN - AKA FAT DULL CUNT

I don't know much about the political party, For Britain, so this morning I googled them. Splashed all over the Wiki page is that For Britain are a far-right party, but upon watching a video on Youtube featuring the leader, Anne Marie Waters, I am informed, from the horses mouth, that For Britain are NOT far right at all, which goes to show Wiki should never be taken as gospel. The more I listen to Waters, the more I think she comes across as a perfectly balanced human being. I also find that despite what the mainstream media would have everyone believe, Tommy Robinson seems a perfectly balanced person too.

In other news, Morrissey (as Dawn Mist) has this afternoon posted a message on my FTM entry of last Tuesday, it reads:

"The curtains are twitching. I am watching. No time for farewells, no space for welcomes."

I have no idea what it means.

And finally, I am pleased to report that the Morrissey online store, MPorium, has just started stocking Trouble Loves Me t-shirts in blue, so I have ordered one.

See you next Tuesday.

Thursday April 19 2018 (The real and proper Day 2409) - Found, found, found

The word 'Morrissey' spent all day Tuesday trending on Twitter, but not because of a previously unheard song that has emerged but because, of course, the interview that was published on Monday.

Morrissey must laugh his arse off as he reads the comments of all the snowflakes he has managed to 'outrage'. The predictability of it all is so.... predictable. Morrissey's response to all the faux outrage  was to simply post a picture of his cat on the Morrissey Central website.

The fall-out from Monday's interview has seen more so called Morrissey fans denounce him on Twitter, although actually it is just the same people who denounced him before - why do they hang around? Their view says nothing to me about my life, now move away. Billy Bragg is one such bore who keeps taking to Twitter to denounce Moz. We get it, Billy, now just fuck off.

BILLY THE SNOWFLAKE

I also thought that Charlatans singer, Tim Burgess, had also been sucked in by the propaganda of the loony left when he tweeted, "Maybe Morrissey was just bitten by a radioactive racist and it's not his fault", but thankfully he later clarified his position by tweeting, "People seem to have lost the ability to see a tongue in cheek comment for what it is. I was commenting on the comments on his comments." Burgess obviously has far more intelligence than Bragg and that other bore from a previous time, Martin Tossiter.

Morrissey's words also saw YET ANOTHER Guardian journalist denounce him. This latest journo is a guy called Owen Gibson, who tweeted, "Morrissey saved my life with his music, but you have got to be fucking joking if that means I am going to sit around and not say anything about his outrageous statements laced with the language of the far-right." These words are straight out of The Guardian manual. The least old Gibbo could have done was use his own words, although in truth, he's probably never actually listened to any Morrissey songs, and it's just that there was no one left at Guardian HQ who hasn't denounced Mozzer, so was handed the script and instructed to get a tweet out there. Who next time, the cleaner?

OWEN GIBSON - YET ANOTHER GUARDIAN DENOUNCER

Another so called Morrissey fan, Dave Haslam (@Mr_Dave-Haslam) tweeted, "A friend of mine is selling his Smiths memorabilia, he's had enough of Morrissey. Any decent offers, I'll pass on to him." Isn't it wonderful that Mr Haslam, er, I mean Mr Haslam's 'friend', is happy to profit from a person he believes to be a racist. Some people have no morals.

Anyway, enough of the nonsense, and more about that previously unheard song. On Tuesday afternoon, Morrissey's nephew, Sam, posted the following on Instagram, "Who would like to hear a new Morrissey track??". He then followed this by posting a Youtube clip on Twitter with the words, "Morrissey - Lost studio track - By The Time I get To Wherever I'm Going". The clip was also posted on Morrissey Central.

No clue was given of when the recording was made, but there is a lot of speculation on Solo that it is from the LIHS sessions. I personally think it was either part of the WPINOYB recordings, or if not, was recorded last century. One thing is for sure, the song isn't listed on Morrissey's BMI repertoire, so it really would seem to be a song that was genuinely lost. I wonder where it was found, and I wonder if there are more of these?

Friday April 20 2018 (The real and proper Day 2410) - For Britain

Yesterday, the leader of the political party For Britain, Anne-Marie Waters, posted an open letter to Morrissey on her website, thanking him for his, "recent kind words."

Morrissey has responded to this by today posting a message on his Morrissey Central website titled, I've Been Dreaming Of A Time When/ the English/ are sick to death of Labour and Tories. Here are his words:

I despise racism.
I despise fascism.
I would do anything for my Muslim friends, and I know they would do anything for me.

In view of this, there is only one British political party that can safeguard our security. That party is For Britain
Please give them a chance. Listen to them. Do not be influenced by the tyrannies of the MSM who will tell you that For Britain are racist or fascist - please believe me, they are the very opposite!!! Please do not close your mind.
Labour is hopelessly naive.
Theresa May’s policies have turned Britain into a international target.

The BBC has closed down.

The Loony Left is concerned only with victim culture.

For Britain will keep British society together. Violence is not the way forward.

There are many problems in modern Britain that have become too large for Theresa May to deal with - mostly because she created them in the first place. The press appear to deal only in fashionable outrage; inflammatory and unjust comments against any new party that threatens the same old bloody pointless two-party system.
Please give For Britain a chance. They will bring an end to the modern Westminster mania for self-destruction. For Britain is the bulldog breed that will never surrender. Both Labour and Conservatives have already sold you down the river into righteous oblivion. This is my last political strike.  No wish to upset anyone!  But the time has come to fight, and Labour and the Conservatives have their backs to the sea.
Are you capable of change?
Thank you, and peace for all of us
MORRISSEY
20 April 2018
This is a message that the two main political parties have stopped representing the people, and that the time has come to turn our backs on them - which some of us did years ago. Morrissey has never before given his backing to a political party, so he must really believe that this one offers something different - the very fact that the leader cares about animal welfare will no doubt be difference enough for Mozzer.

The part of the message that grabbed me the most is the mention of Muslim friends. Although Morrissey may not like the ideology of Islam, it doesn't mean he can't have Muslim friends, and he obviously does, but the snowflakes will struggle to get their heads around this, even though it is basic common sense. As I have stated many times, I don't like religion, and really struggle to understand why anyone with an ounce of intelligence believes there is a God, or believes the words of the bible, but this certainly doesn't stop me from having religious friends, in fact, many of my friends have a christian faith. My mother has a Christian faith. I don't agree with their religious views, but it doesn't stop me liking them. I can't claim to have any Muslim friends; mainly because I live in an area where there aren't very many, but I certainly wouldn't let someone's faith be a barrier to a friendship, in the same way that I wouldn't let a football team be a barrier - some of my best friends support Southampton, which again makes me question their intelligence, but nothing more.

Anne-Marie Waters is obviously over the moon to have received Morrissey's full endorsement, and this afternoon tweeted, "What an incredible endorsement, I'm grateful and humbled. Thank you @officialmoz. Let me know if you're ever up for a chat. Thanks again."

Perhaps we should invite Ms Waters into The Wrong Arms. Or maybe not.

I have nothing else to add today, other than to mention that yesterday I received my first email from Morrissey in ages. It was actually signed by 'R'. It was only about two lines long, but it suggested that FTM may be getting a little something very soon. I shall keep 'em peeled.
