MORRISSEY SINGING I AM HATED FOR LOVING LAST NIGHT IN KETTERING (OHIO NOT NORTHAMPTONSHIRE - NO ONE SINGS THERE!)

And the 'coincidences' keep coming. Following on from the singing of both: You're Gonna Need Someone On Your Side and Irish Blood for me on Saturday, last night it was the turn of BRS member, HeatherCat to have a song sung for her by Morrissey. There will be those who really do think that I and others are utterly deluded for believing Morrissey is singing songs for us but: A) We don't care and B) We know the truth. There probably is a C & D but I can't think of them right now. There is, however, no E!

It's not as though Morrissey plays requests; he's far too unconventional for that, but he picks up on the tweets of the BRS. Who can forget the playing of Glamorous Glue for the first time in 25 years in 2017 straight after a conversation in The Wrong Arms about glue (see FTM Day 2343) , and also the playing of the same song at Alexandra Palace last year when BRS member, Bitchy Bobby Neville was present - it having been mentioned as his favourite song (see FTM Day 2468). There are loads of other incidences, all reported on within this blog, where it is plain to see; if you know what you are looking for, that Morrissey is playing songs for BRS members. Action Is My Middle Name and Boxers for Boozey Kerry, You'll Be Gone at the Palladium for me. The list goes on.

And so to Heather's song last night in Kettering, Ohio. Three songs were left out from Monday's set: Seasick, Satan and Speedway, and these were replaced by the following three: I Am Hated For Loving; which was played live for the first time in nineteen years, Break Up The Family and Life is a Pigsty; which Moz explained was in memory of 9/11.

The song played for Heather was I Am Hated For Loving. Not only did Heather list it in her 'Ultimate Set List', but back in May when I asked her to name 10 songs that she would love to hear, I Am Hated for Loving was one of them. She has tweeted about the song on numerous occasions, once stating, "Hated for Loving is one of my absolute faves but tends to be overlooked". Anyway, I won't write anything else, I have asked Heather to write a review of last night's concert in Ohio, so when she does I will post it here.

And here it is:

Hated for Loving - I was too overcome with emotion then to attempt to film it or take photos. Although I was very thankful to see that someone posted a snippet of it on Instagram, I'm praying that someone managed to film the whole song and will post it on YouTube. I can't begin to describe the onslaught of emotion that overtook me - I was crying, trembling, and in utter shock at hearing a song that means so much to me that I never thought I'd get to hear live. I'm eternally grateful to Morrissey for including this in the setlist and I'll forever treasure the memory of this incredible experience. I'm short on time and unfortunately don't have time for a proper review, but just wanted to add that, despite the sweltering heat at the outdoor venue, Moz was truly in top form last night, the crowd adored him, and I'm so thankful for such a memorable and special evening. Viva Moz!

RICHARD TREHY AND MORRISSEY - TOUCHING HANDS

*Comes in singing - for Richard Trehy*
Where it began, I can't begin to knowing
But then I know it's growing strong
Was in the spring
Then spring became the summer
Who'd have believed you'd come along
Hands, touching hands
Reaching out, touching me, touching you
Sweet Morr-is-sey
Good times never seemed so good

I have posted a photograph of Morrissey touching the hand of fan, Richard Trehy in Camden, and am singing a song for Richard as a thank you to him for helping me - he has discovered where the Satan Rejected My Soul pre-show video clip that I wrote about on Wednesday comes from.....I have been put out of my misery! But more about that later.

The words to Sweet Morr-is-sey could just as well relate to this unbelievable journey we are on, which for me began eight years ago this coming Sunday - it was on September 15th 2011 that I discovered the MorrisseysWorld blog, which subsequently led to me to start this blog two weeks later. Who would have thought that I'd still be here eight years on? More to the point, who could possibly have imagined that eight years on, Morrissey would still be among us; giving us signs, singing us personal songs, and taking our blue roses....not that he has taken a blue rose for three years now - Heather offered her's at Kettering on Wednesday, but like mine, it wasn't wanted.

So much has happened in these past eight years, and without coming across as too dramatic, the writing of this blog could end up being my legacy - I guess that will depend upon whether or not people in the future are fascinated by what went on between Morrissey and a few deluded fans.

There was no concert last night, which means I have nothing to report on today, so back to that pre-show video clip. I described on Wednesday that it was a clip of a man who looked liked Bryan Robson, walking around a town at night. Thanks to Richard; who contacted me on Twitter, I now know that it is actor, Reece Shearsmith, and the scene is from an episode of Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer's 2004 TV Series, Catterick. I was a fan of Reeves and Mortimer back in the 1990s, but never saw Catterick - I was busy being a responsible and busy parent of two young children by then.

The scene in question comes from Episode 3, Dead Parrot - it starts at 24 mins 50 secs:

REECE 'NOT BRYAN ROBSON' SHEARSMITH

Well, that's it for today. I counted down the Top 10 of the 'Morrissey Live in the USA' Chart earlier today in The Wrong Arms to an audience of two! My thanks to Heather and Deborah for humouring me. Tonight Morrissey plays a rather nice looking amphitheatre at Oakland University in Michigan,  and then on Saturday it is picnic time on the lawns at Highland Park in Illinois.

MEADOW BROOK AMPHITHEATRE, ROCHESTER HILLS, MICHIGAN

*Goes off singing*
But I work in his factory
And I curse the life I'm living
And I curse my poverty
And I wish that I could be,
Oh, I wish that I could be,
Oh, I wish that I could be
Richard Trehy

Sunday September 15th 2019 - Day 2922 Very Dapper

During Friday night's concert in Rochester Hills, Michigan; which incidentally Morrissey announced was his 1,000th show, BRS member, Jo (@lifeisapigsty_) took to Twitter and posted a photograph of Morrissey wearing a slick waistcoat...or, "handsome vest" as she described it. Heather Cat replied to Jo's tweet stating, "I was admiring the vest too. Very dapper!"

Following Saturday night's concert in Highland Park, Illinois, BRS member, Vérité (@verite50); who was in the audience, reported that Morrissey said at some point, "Some of you are looking very dapper tonight, and the rest of us....". I am yet to find any footage of this, but if it is true that Morrissey said, "very dapper", it is a H-U-G-E 'coincidence' for our list....but of course, there is nothing to see here.

MORRISSEY LOOKING VERY DAPPER IN ROCHESTER HILLS FOR HIS 1,000TH SOLO SHOW

As for the two concerts, Friday night saw Satan and Seasick return to the set, along with What She Said for the first time this tour. Out went Break Up The Fam, Pigsty and Heather's Hated For Loving from Wednesday's show in Kettering. There is hardly any footage of the concert on Youtube.

Saturday's concert in Highland Park, Illinois; which Heather informs me is a rather nice suburb of Chicago, where scenes from Ferris Bueller were filmed and houses designed by Frank Lloyd-Wright are built, saw You're Gonna Need Someone On Your Side brought back into the set as the opener, with What She Said dropping back out. From the footage I have seen, it once again looked to be one hell of a concert, with  Suedehead, Hairdresser, JokeWhy Don't You Find Out For Yourself, SundayIf You Don't Like Me, and in particular, How Soon Is Now?  all sounding amazing.

The tour party now heads to Texas for concerts on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Will there be more surprises along the way? Is Morrissey really peeking into The Wrong Arms and observing our conversations. Tune in to the next exciting episode of Following The Mozziah soon...

Monday September 16th 2019 - Day 2923 Really Very Dapper

Yesterday I wrote how BRS member, Vérité had reported that Morrissey used the words, "Very dapper" live on stage in Highland Park on Saturday night to describe (some of) his audience. I also wrote that this followed on from BRS member, Heather using theexact same words 24 hours earlier on Twitter; or The Wrong Arms as it's more uncommonly known, whilst describing Morrissey. I added in yesterday's blog entry that I hadn't seen any footage to verify Vérité's claim.....but now I have - Morrissey REALLY DID say it, just before singing That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore. As I wrote yesterday, as coincidences go relating to this story of ours, this one is HUGE, HUGE, HUGE, but absolutely nobody outside the BRS is remotely interested....well, they wouldn't be would they.

Anyway, we move on. Morrissey has obviously been keeping an eye on Twitter happenings by using the Official Morrissey account, but yesterday he re-opened his BRS Chairman account; at least I presume it is him, and not somebody who has decided to open the account and pretend to be him - I guess time will tell. The new account hasn't yet tweeted, and the only person he/she/they are currently following is me.

Tuesday September 17th 2019 - Day 2924 List of the Lives updated

Back in December 2017, on Day 2380 of FTM, I wrote two lists; one comprising all the Morrissey songs that I had seen live and another with all the Morrissey songs I hadn't seen live. I have now seen three more concerts since then, and there have been a couple of new compositions released, so I have updated my lists.

Eighteen songs have now been added to my 'seen live' list, which takes the total to 163 songs - eighteen of which are covers. Of the 163 songs, there are thirty two of them that I have seen/heard on four or more occasions, and as I wrote on Day 2916 of FTM, Irish Blood, English Heart seems to be played at every concert I attend - in actual fact, it's been played at 14 of the 19 solo concerts I've been to, and is the song I have seen live more than any other. As I L-O-V-E, love a chart, I have put these thirty two most seen songs into a Top 32 Chart.

There are now just 138 of Morrissey's songs that I haven't seen/heard live; thirty five of which I would really love to see/hear before I die.

It is only just sinking in that when I got to see That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore in Queens on Sept 7th, it was the first time I had heard it live since 1985....although I did hear a snippet during the Speedway pause in 2013. It really is one of my very favourite songs.

Wednesday September 18th 2019 - Day 2925 Morrissey Live in the USA Chart (Week 2)

I feel that the chart I published last Friday was a bit out of sync. It should have consisted only of songs from concerts played on the East Coast, and not the show in Kettering, so I have today published a chart of the three concerts played in the last seven days across Northern America, and next Wednesday I will compile a chart from the Texas shows which start this evening.

Week two of the Morrissey tour has been highly successful. In Kettering last Wednesday, Morrissey sang I Am Hated For Loving especially for BRS member, Heather; just as he had played both You're Gonna Need Someone On Your Side and Irish Blood for me on Week 1 of the tour. Kettering also saw Moz sing Life is a Pigsty for the victims of 9/11, and Break Up The Family.

Following on from Kettering was the concert at Rochester Hills, which Morrissey announced was his 1,000th as a solo artist. It was also at this concert that Morrissey wore a 'vest', or waistcoat to give it it's correct name, which led to Heather describing Moz as, "very dapper", words which M himself then used the following day on stage in Highland Park....a HUGE coincidence. Rochester Hills saw What She Said brought into the set, which was a pleasant surprise.

The Highland Park concert saw Morrissey joined on stage by a cicada, which I have now named, Jon. Moz brought You're Gonna Need Someone On Your Side back in.

So without any further ado, here is this weeks chart....I am keeping it to a Top 20 from now on.

Tuesday September 24th 2019 - Day 2931 There is no there

Our Mozzer (@BRSChairman) posted his first tweet in The Wrong Arms on Thursday evening at 5.13pm Texas time, it read, "There is no there". This didn't mean anything to me, but upon googling it, I soon learnt that it was a Gertrude Stein quote....not that OM had put it in quotation marks.

Gertrude Stein has featured a number of times on our journey - in March 2015 Stein first featured on a Morrissey pre-show video....which in turn led me to discover that an image from a Stein book had previously been fed to us by Our Mozzer on Twitter. Following on from that, Morrissey has used Stein's image every time he has played All The Lazy Dykes on stage, so Our Mozzer's use of a Stein quote on Thursday made me wonder if it was a clue, and that perhaps Dykes would be sung on Friday in Austin. I woke up early on Friday morning and excitedly looked on Morrissey Solo to see if it had been included in the set............and guess what?......................it wasn't! Oh well, it was only a theory.

There have been no further tweets from Our Mozzer....not that we actually know that the @BRSChairman account is Morrissey at this stage.

And so to the most recent concerts. The Grand Prairie show on Wednesday featured Hold Onto Your Friends for the first time this tour, along with the marvellous Something Is Squeezing My Skull. Morrissey wore a special edition Texas t-shirt for the encore, which he signed and added, "THE ARTIST MUST EDUCATE THE CRITIC", which is a Wilde quote.

The amount of video footage on Youtube for the Grand Prairie concert is a little thin on the ground, but thankfully the whole of the Austin concert on Friday was recorded by a fan.....although I haven't had the chance to watch it all yet. One thing that I have noticed is that Morrissey is once again wearing a finger plaster, which is a definite nod to the morrisseysWorld story, as mentioned many, many times before.

Despite the likes of Dave Haslam and Peter Finan believing that Morrissey concerts are only attended by racists, the happiest man in Austin was a black guy who managed to get a copy of the setlist. It is so refreshing to see that intelligent people have ignored those who try to tell us Morrissey is racist, and continue to come to concerts.

The concert scheduled for Houston on Saturday was postponed until October 28th following extreme flooding in the area.

Away from the stage, Moz Central announced on Wednesday that plans to issue Lady Willpower as a single have been scrapped, which means we don't get to hear Rainbow Valley yet. It's Over is now going to be released instead, with a cover of Tim Buckley's It Happens Every Time on the b side.

Morrissey Central yesterday also posted a picture of the new PETA poster; which it doesn't usually do, and this led BRS member, Manc Lad to see the poster as a nod to MorrisseysWorld. Others agree..... it is all about the 'eyes'.

THE MONTAGE POSTED ON THE MORRISSEYSWORLD BLOG IN NOVEMBER 2011

In other news, former Prime Minister, David Cameron has this week revealed that he remains a lifelong fan of Morrissey and that his nine year old daughter, Florence's favourite song is First of the Gang To Die....so he isn't ALL bad after all, and in hindsight, was far, far better than the woefully inept Theresa May and Boris Johnson. Will life ever be sane again?

The next concert is on Thursday in Denver, but luckily some of us have something VERY exciting to look forward to before then......tonight it is Portsmouth vs S**thampton. It is the first time in over seven years that the two sides have met, and the first time that I have been to watch live in over 14 years - Fratton Park will be rocking.

Wednesday September 25th 2019 - Day 2932 Dated decor

The BRS Chairman popped into The Wrong Arms yesterday at 10.30pm (3.30pm Denver time) and engaged with the locals. I wasn't there to witness it as I was on my way back from having watched Pompey soundly beaten by S**thampton - a sad event that I will quickly eradicate from my memory.

As I wrote yesterday, I can't be sure that the @BRSChairman account is actually Our Mozzer, especially as no 'signs' or 'coincidences' have been given to authenticate it; it could be former BRS member, Chuck pretending to be him for all anyone knows, however, I will report the tweets of this Chairman account anyway. Here is the conversation that took place:

Chairman: "Lighthouse. Lighthouse. Lighthouse."

Scandinavian Wolf: "Seagulls. Seagulls. Seagulls."

Chairman: "Are you certain? Are you sure? Were they ever there?"

Liliana: "Are the waters rough there?

Chairman: "They echo my woe."

Heather: "Is Dawn's spirit somewhere among us?"

Chairman: "Dawn's somewhere is among the spirits."

Heather: "And yourself? May I offer you a drink?"

Chairman: "Are you trying to suggest that I am a lush?"

Heather: "Not at all, I thought you might've decided to accept Rat's enticing offer of a drink in our humble pub."

Chairman: "The decor is dated. The bouncers are unwelcoming. Everyone is fully clothed. The standards have dropped. Apart from the decor."

THE WRONG ARMS - DATED DECOR AND TOO MANY CLOTHES....BUT A GREAT JUKEBOX

The Chairman also tweeted: "If I knew that simply dying would make oneself trend years later then I would have thrown myself under a Mercedes in 2015. Alas, she was not available."

Could the 'Lighthouse' tweet be a 'sign' that There is a Light That Never Goes Out is about to be played live? Probably not!

Despite only following one person on Twitter - me - the Chairman account has picked up 27 followers, which means there are 27 people who are interested enough in the account to think that it might be Morrissey. All eyes remain on the Chairman account....or 54 eyes at least....that's presuming all 27 followers have two eyes....I feel I am starting to waffle. I should go. *Gone*

Tuesday October 1st 2019 - Day 2938 - Sign of the twats

There has been no further sign of Our Mozzer since my previous blog entry last Wednesday, and no signs/coincidences to report from any of the three concerts; although there have been so few videos posted on Youtube, I wouldn't actually know if there had been any signs.

And on the subject of signs, last night at the Morrissey concert in Portland, a woman attended with two signs and waved them about - one read 'Bigmouth Indeed' and the other depicted the 'For Britain emblem', with a line through it.

Morrissey was so enraged that someone had come to the one place where he and his fans can get away from such brainwashed idiocy, he stopped the concert after two songs and ordered that the intruder leave - Moz was fuming, and rightly so. If this woman chooses to believe the rubbish that The Guardian have fed her, then that is her problem, but she has NO RIGHT WHATSOEVER to peddle her bullshit in OUR sanctuary. If someone came into my place of work whilst I was with a client and started abusing me, I too would evict them - the audacity of this fucking cunt. May sorrow come to her.

While I'm here, I may as well make mention of the three concerts. In Denver last Thursday Mozzer took to the stage and said, "Mirror, Signal, Manoeuvre" before driving the concert forward with Alma Matters....it made me chuckle. The More You Ignore Me, The Closer I Get was also added to the set, which reminded Heather of a similarly worded tweet I sent her during the chart countdown two weeks prior, but I don't think we can really add that to our list of coincidences. However, it could be seen as more coincidental that this particular song; which has the line, "I will be in the bar with my head on the bar" was played at the first concert that followed Our Mozzer's visit to The Wrong Arms for a drink. Hmm.

Saturday's concert in Salt Lake City saw Moz kick it off with the message, "Do your best and don't worry", followed by You're Gonna Need Someone On Your Side. Girl Afraid was also sung for the first time since the Broadway shows in May.

SALT LAKE CITY 2019

As for last night's show, BRS member, 'Portland Jo' (@Lifeisapigsty_) once again had blue rose cup cakes made for Moz and once again had them delivered to him, but she was unable to get close enough with her blue rose, so STILL no blue rose has been accepted by Morrissey since 2016.

PORTLAND JO AND DAUGHTER WITH BLUE ROSE IN PORTLAND

The Portland concert saw Girl Afraid remain in the set, and someone made it onto the stage during Everyday is Like Sunday. Hopefully footage of Girl Afraid (and many other songs) will appear on Youtube before tomorrow's, 'Morrissey Live In The USA (Week 4) Top 20 Chart' is compiled.

In other Moz news, it has this morning been announced on Morrissey Central that, "BMG have decided against releasing 'It's Over' as a single. Morrissey has described BMG's decision as "heartbreaking"." This is NOT good in many ways. Two years ago, BMG's Korda Marshall and Morrissey were singing each others praises, so I do hope that Korda hasn't allowed himself to be brainwashed by the likes of the Guardian. The size of the audiences attending the current USA tour proves that Morrissey is as popular as ever, and we still want to buy his records. Whatever BMG's reason is for not releasing It's Over, it's a poor reason.

Anyway, I'm off to watch a film that I've just stumbled upon on Youtube whilst searching for Morrissey, it's titled, I Bury The Living, which is a coincidence, and it's about.....coincidences.

*Goes off singing to the woman who intruded in Portland* I haven't a clue, What the war is about, I haven't got a clue, have you?

Last night's tour in Seattle was cancelled. No reason has been given, but I would imagine that following on from: A) the BMG news about the scrapping of a new single and B) the intruder at the concert in Portland, Morrissey was in no fit mental state to do anything - as Our Mozzer once told us, he is not a lamp post!

The fact that vermin from a number of publications; including both the G*ardian* and the NON-Independent, have decided to lay into Moz today because of the evicted intruder in Portland, won't have helped his mood. These scumbags can't just 'report' that a Morrissey hater was asked to leave the concert, they write all kinds of bullshit.

Laura Snapes, for The G*ardian, TELLS her readers that ticket sales for the tour have been poor, and that half the arena was curtained off in Portland because of this. LIES, LIES, LIES! I have personally been to one of these shows and seen photos of the others - the audiences are packed. And as for the arena in Portland, it is ALWAYS curtained off for concerts - it's called Theatre of the Clouds. AGHHHH! I tried to tweet Laura earlier today to try to educate her, but I found that she had blocked me from the last time I tried to educate her. This woman is a pathological liar and a fascist. And most of all, a CUNT!

LAURA SNAPES - A PATHOLOGICAL LIAR, A FASCIST AND A CUNT...WITH PARTICULARLY BAD SKIN, GREASY HAIR AND
H-U-G-E EARS - MAY SORROW COME TO HER

I can't possibly begin to imagine how it must feel to see lies written about you in print day, after day, after day, and know that there is NOTHING that you can do about it. How does Morrissey stay sane? Perhaps he hasn't. It can't be easy to keep ignoring, ignoring, ignoring - there must be days when the jabs hit the spot.

The one good thing is, Morrissey has seen on this tour just how loved he is by his adoring fans, and hopefully the thought of that as opposed to the negativity, will be enough to pick Moz up, and get him back on the stage in San Francisco tomorrow night. Morrissey knows record companies are fickle, he knows his left-leaning fans are flakey, and he; more than anyone, knows that journalists lie - he even wrote a song about it. All Morrissey needs is his fans, and all we need is Morrissey.

THE PACKED AUDIENCE IN SALT LAKE CITY ON SATURDAY (PHOTO JAY JOANNIDES)

One of the most ironic things about the protester in Portland, is that she was a white woman; who has obviously been sucked-in by the Gu*rdian to believe that Morrissey is a racist, whilst sat right behind her was a freethinking black man, who has obviously worked out for himself that Morrissey isn't a racist. You couldn't make this up.

And whilst I am on the subject of misguided fools and liars, the full-time Morrissey obsessive, Billy Bragg (Barking Billy) has been at it YET AGAIN, this time holding up a 'Morrissey is a Racist' t-shirt on stage, and then talking about Morrissey being a racist to the audience. I wonder if Bragg's audiences are filled with as many blacks, latinos, asians and arabs as Morrissey's? I doubt it. Bragg is very clearly jealous of Morrissey, and like Snapes, is a CUNT of the very highest order.

In other news, Morrissey crew member, Jay Joannides has confirmed on Twitter that the blue rose cakes that Portland Jo sent to Moz on Monday were delivered, and eaten.

In other, other news, I read somewhere on social media that at last week's concert in Denver, Morrissey announced that David Johansen was in intensive care. I haven't been able to find any footage of Morrissey saying this, or anything about it on the internet, but presume it to be true, and if it is true, then this can't be helping Morrissey's current mood either. Johansen is due to perform as Buster Poindexter in New York next week, and tickets are still on sale. Hopefully he'll pull through.

And now, here is this week's chart, which isn't as true a reflection as it usually is due to a distinct lack of footage posted on Youtube from the concerts in Denver, Salt Lake City and Portland. NOBODY has posted Girl Afraid from either Salt Lake City or Denver, which is a travesty. And there was I thinking that Americans led the way.

Thursday October 3rd 2019 - Day 2940 Barking Bully hypocrite

Yesterday I reported how Bully Bragg had YET AGAIN called Morrissey a racist. After publishing the blog entry, I took to Twitter to repel Bragg and his lies, which I do on every occasion that Bragg opens his ugly mouth or uses his fat fingers to have a pop at Morrissey. Bragg replied to one of my tweets; not to try and debate with me - he's too cowardly for that, but instead to mockingly thank me for drawing his attention to the video I'd posted of his Morrissey obsessed rant in New York.

This morning I awoke to find notification from Twitter that I have been banned from tweeting for seven days for using, 'hateful conduct', and that the ban would be permanent unless I removed 15 tweets that I had posted about Billy Bragg. The great advocate of free speech, Mr Billy Bragg, had reported me to Twitter - you couldn't make it up!

Here are a selection of the tweets that I was TOLD to remove; some of which are over six months old, which means Bragg went 'looking for them' in his attempt to build a case against me:

Apparently, calling Bragg, "jealous", "pathetic" and "boring" is now considered 'hateful conduct'!
This certainly isn't the first time I have received a Twitter ban, and no doubt it won't be the last, and if I'm honest, I quite like getting banned because it means I've gotten under someone's skin; in this case, the intolerable, Bully Bragg. It's having to remove the 'offending' tweets that bothers me.

So this is the world we now live in. You can spread as many lies as you want about someone and go completely unpunished, but if you call someones names such as, "pathetic", you get a ban from social media.

The worst part for me is the hypocrisy. Bragg shouts about freedom of speech, and yet shuts me down for calling him out - Freedom of speech....but only if you agree with me.
I already knew that Bragg was a pretend/plastic socialist, but now I know he is also a fascist....and as I wrote yesterday, a cunt.

Unfortunately, Bragg isn't the only person in the public eye who has been sucked-in by The G*ardian's bullshit and lies, there are MANY of them, including the likes of Morrissey's old writing partner, Johnny Marr and also the artist, Banksy; who everyone has always looked to as being someone who can see clearly in an unclear world. Banksy has opened a shop called Gross Domestic Product in Croydon, and is selling 'Screwed up Morrissey posters', with the advert in the shop window reading, "Celebrate the singer's drift to the far right with this special collectors item - a vintage Morrissey poster screwed up into an angry ball".

Banksy's lack of ability to see the truth means that his art is now meaningless.....unless of course I have gotten this all wrong, and Banksy is actually being ironic with the screwed up poster, which would therefore mean he is taking the piss out of the likes of Bully Bragg for their inability to see that Morrissey is anything BUT far right. I do so hope it's the latter - how hilarious would that be? Unfortunately, I think it is probably the former, and Banksy IS just another brainwashed G*ardian reader. It's a sad, sad, sad, sad world....but luckily some of us have an alternative world to live in - Morrissey's World.

Friday October 4th 2019 - Day 2941 Panic on the stage of San Fran....and Banksy, we salute you...I think!

At 11.34pm (4.34pm San Francisco time) yesterday, I received an email from Blogger telling me that someone using the name 'Unknown' had left the following in the comments section of Day 916 of FTM:

"Hi. Are you still there? Could life ever be sane again?"

I don't know how I knew, but I KNEW this was Morrissey; even though Morrissey would NEVER write, "Hi", and I also KNEW that it was Morrissey's way of telling me that Panic was about to be played at the concert in San Francisco. Call it (pseudo)female intuition if you like, but I KNEW, I just KNEW.

In fact, I was SO sure that this was Morrissey giving me the nod, that I immediately took to Twitter to tweet that Panic would be played - I had to use the Blue Rose Society Twitter account as my TRB account is suspended due to that freedom of speech-hating cunt, Bully Bragg.

This morning I woke early and immediately looked to see the set list in SF. The opening song of the night was.....wait for it.....drum roll please....no, not you Joyce, get Rick to do it......PANIC! We have another coincidence to add to our list.

The reason that Panic was played is fairly obvious: A) On Wednesday I wrote on FTM, "How does Morrissey stay sane" and B) DJ, Dave 'Has been''Close friend of Jimmy Paedophile Savile'  Haslam was on the Twitter rampage again on Tuesday and Wednesday attacking Morrissey. There is NO C).

MEMBER OF JIMMY SAVILE'S LITTLE GANG.....DJ, DAVE HASLAM

As yet, there is no footage of Panic on Youtube from the SF concert, but a snippet has been posted on social media, which shows that the backdrop to the song is a photoshopped picture of George Best wearing a Morrissey t-shirt - the photo was first published back in July on Morrissey Central.

Also played in SF was Home is a Question Mark. I would imagine this has been added because Morrissey really, really doesn't feel that England is his home anymore. Morrissey Central posted a fan-made video of Home is a Question Mark on Tuesday, and as is the norm, Morrissey-Solo immediately put it as their 'Top Story'....all Morrissey Central postings become the top story, just as True-To-You postings did in the past.  By posting the fan video, a story about Mike Joyce that had been at the top of the Morrissey-Solo website was relegated down the page, which immediately made me wonder if Morrissey had done it on purpose. To further add to my theory, Morrissey Central yesterday posted a 'nothing' story (with the title Minor Detail) about an old Morrissey shirt and ring that appear on the front of 'The Best of Morrissey' album, and the posting of this relegated a story about some bloke trying to flog a book about The Smiths down the Morrissey-Solo page. Morrissey has COMPLETE CONTROL over what the lead story will be on Morrissey-Solo.

The only other snippets that I have managed to gauge from the SF is that Morrissey entered the stage and sang the opening line from Interpol's song, The Heinrich Maneuver,"How are things on the West Coast", and Moz also allegedly said at some point, "San Francisco, open your golden legs". The final song of the night was How Soon Is Now?, and instead of walking off straight after the shirt toss as he usually does, M lingered on stage, and wandered around half naked doing an impression of a zombie.....could life ever be sane again indeed!

MORRISSEY IN SF

And now I turn my attention to Banksy. Yesterday I reported how Banksy was selling 'Screwed up Morrissey posters' to "celebrate" his "drift to the far right". I wrote that I wasn't sure if Banksy had turned on Morrissey, or was mocking those who had turned on him, but following a comment left by BRS member, GirlWithout (GWO) on yesterday's blog, I am pretty confident that Banksy HASN'T suddenly become just another brainwashed G*ardian reader, and IS indeed mocking all those who have turned on Moz. Here is some of what GWO wrote:

"I see this as being a commentary on the ex-Moz fans on social media - the "screwed up Morrissey poster" - 'Poster' here having a dual meaning of a printed picture or someone publishing something online. Some of these ex-fans have collections of Morrissey items, rare items or limited editions. (Note this is an Unlimited edition). It is totally poking fun at this. The angry ball is the ex-fan, even as far as "a vintage Morrisey poster screwed up into an angry ball" - doesn't that just describe the likes of Billy Bragg to a tee! The fact that Morrissey is spelt incorrectly as 'Morrisey' twice I see as not disrespectful towards Morrissey, but as totally intentional. You spot the mistake straight away, ex-fan or fan, and it brings out a reaction in you. Surely I cannot be the only person who guffawed at the screwed up angry ball which is Morrissey in profile, quiff and all. How hilarious would that be for an ex-fan (because that is who this item is aimed at) to purchase this 'screwed up Morrissey' to get... Morrissey made out of paper."

I have to admit, I actually didn't spot the misspelling of Morrissey's name, but that aside, I think GWO is spot on with her observations - I too love the description of the likes of Bragg/Uncle Skinny as 'a vintage Morrissey poster screwed up into an angry ball", and also share GWO's love of the thought that the ex-fans who've gotten rid of their precious Morrissey collections and are no longer able to worship Morrissey at concerts, end up with nothing other than a screwed up Morrissey made out of paper....which ironically, they've paid for when they could have just screwed up their own poster. Hilarious indeed.

BANKSY'S SCREWED UP ANGRY BALL

GWO is also, in my opinion, 100% correct in her assumption that the double misspelling of Morrissey's name ISN'T a mistake, and my further interpretation of this, is that a large number of those who are stating that they will no longer be a Morrissey fan, weren't in fact fans in the first place, and don't even know how to spell his name - Banksy could have taken it a step further and written Stephen Morrisey, but that would have made it too obvious, and no doubt Banksy will be enjoying the ambiguity of how this piece of art is interpreted - it's genius, although as Fiona Dodwell has posted on Twitter, "both fans and ex-fans alike can read this as criticism, which isn't helpful given the current media climate around M". Fiona is right, it isn't helpful, but Banksy is very similar to Morrissey, and it isn't his job to 'help'. Now that I have convinced myself (with GWO's help) that Banksy is DEFINITELY mocking those who have got Morrissey all wrong, I like that he's done it the way he has.

If ever there was a song that PROVES Morrissey isn't 'far-right', it is The National Front Disco. The lyrics to that song leave us, the listener, sympathising with the parents of David, who have lost their boy to the National Front - it's certainly no rally cry for people to join up. Anyone with an ounce of intelligence is able to determine that the person who wrote the lyrics to The National Front Disco, ie Morrissey, is NOT someone advocating the far-right, in fact, it is the opposite. Bully Bragg doesn't have that ounce of intelligence, but I believe Banksy does. I would dearly love Morrissey to reintroduce it to his set. I've never known who or what inspired the song, but somebody on Twitter has told me that they believe the 'David' may well have been the elder brother of The Clash singer, Joe Strummer. Apparently that David (Mellor) joined the National Front and later took his own life. I guess it's quite possible.

And finally on the subject of Banksy, his painting of Parliament being run by chimpanzees yesterday sold at auction for £9.9 million.

Angry ball, Bully Bragg took to Twitter again yesterday to continue his Morrissey (Morrisey?) obsession, and ended up completely contradicting himself.  First of all Bragg commented on the protester at the Morrissey concert in Portland by tweeting, "People are just exercising their right of free speech to express their opinions about Morrissey's behaviour. You should respect their right to do so, or is free speech only afforded to Morrissey and no one else?". Eight hours later Bragg then tweeted, "(If right wingers protest) I throw them out just like Morrissey did. What I don't do is complain that they had somehow shut me down."

So Bully Bragg WOULDN'T show respect to a protester at one of his concerts after all! What a twat! And what-is-more,  NOWHERE did Morrissey complain that he had been "shut down". Could Bragg look any stupider? Is it possible? No doubt he'll keep trying!

*Goes off singing* Could life ever be sane again?.......hang the DJ, hang the DJ, hang the DJ, hang the DJ, hang the DJ, hang the DJ, hang the DJ, hang the DJ, hang the DJ, hang the DJ, hang the DJ....

Well, here is another 'action-packed' FTM, which features:

A) Morrissey Returns To Twitter

B) The Design of a Sign for (our imaginary Twitter pub) The Wrong Arms

C) A letter to me from Billy Bragg

D) My reply to Bragg

E) Morrissey in concert in Irvine last night

F) Morrissey & Banksy

So, with no further ado, let's get stuck in.

A) MORRISSEY RETURNS TO TWITTER

Our Mozzer paid a visit to The Wrong Arms on Friday, and pulled me into the cloakrooms for a private chat....I don't know what sort of girl he thinks I am, but I don't go into the cloakrooms with any old gentleman.

Here is our chat in the cloakrooms, which started with OM replying to a tweet I had sent to him on September 25th, when I was trying to establish if the BRS Chairman account was really him.

TRB: Me writing about you has brought you 29 followers; who obviously believe you to be Morrissey, even though there is no valid reason to believe you are. This blind faith interests me, does it you?

MOZ: Blind faith, in any form, interests me in ways you can not begin to imagine. If you insist on proof, although you should know better by now....I am yet to answer questions relating to "top 3s"

(Ed - I asked OM ages and ages ago to give me his Top 3s in various categories, but he never has. Only the real Morrissey would know this, so this account is now officially authenticated....not that I doubted it!)

TRB: Will you answer those Top 3s? I think people would be very interested to read them.

MOZ: You mean you and two hermits would be interested?

TRB: Yes, but even if the two hermits leave, it would still be appreciated by someone, and that makes it worth doing.

MOZ: I will get back to you....in 2038.

Our Mozzer's only tweet in the main bar of The Wrong Arms was, "Once. Not now. Never again"with a link to a video of Londoner's Pub Talk from 1972:

Our Mozzer's only tweet in the main bar of The Wrong Arms was, "Once. Not now. Never again" with a link to a video of Londoner's Pub Talk from 1972:

B) THE DESIGN OF A SIGN FOR THE WRONG ARMS

A couple of days ago I contacted the very talented BRS member, 'Iron Bridge Sam' (@sergiogeorgini2) via Twitter, and asked him to design a pub sign for our imaginary pub. The only brief I gave was that I wanted a barrel (as a nod to Trouble Loves Me, obviously), and a blue rose to feature. The result is fantastic:

C) A LETTER TO ME FROM BILLY BRAGG

Last night I received an email from Blogger, notifying me that a comment had been left on my blog entry of Thursday (Day 2940 - titled Barking Bully hypocrite) by.....Billy Bragg. It was a letter to me in response to comments I had made about Bragg in that particular blog entry. Here is Billy's letter:

I just wanted to take to opportunity to correct a couple of points you make in this post.

I had hitherto never reported anyone to Twitter for a comment they made about me. I felt the need to report you because incitement to violence is a crime under the common law of England and Wales and under the US constitution. I reported just the one tweet. Twitter found the others and demanded they be removed, which is their policy when dealing with incitement.

I notice you chose not to post the text which got you banned. Not sure if that is out of shame or embarrassment, but it surely was intentional behaviour for someone like yourself with such a fine eye for detail. For those of you wondering what the fuss is about, here's the content:

"Will somebody PLEASE, PLEASE,PLEASE shut this lying cunt's mouth good & proper, FOREVER. @billybragg YOU are the one looking for publicity & YOU are the one backing Islam & their hatred towards gays, women and animals. Your jealousy of Morrissey is ugly"

You claim that I will not debate with you, but it is very hard to have a civilised exchange of views with someone so intemperate as yourself. Free speech gives you the right to express an opinion. It does not give you the right to abuse people you disagree with.

Your assertion that I am a proponent of free speech fails to take on board that I believe free speech alone is not enough to ensure everyone enjoys the benefits of a free society. For that to occur, free speech has to share equal prominence with equality and accountability. Equality requires us to respect the views of those we disagree with and to refrain from personal attacks. I may have called Morrissey a racist, but I have never stooped to calling him a cunt, as you so freely abuse those who disagree with you.

However, my dispute with Morrissey focuses more on the matter of accountability. He is free to say whatever he wants, as are we all, but none of us are free to do so with impunity. When he makes his racist statements, I call him out. When you disagree with what I say about him, you challenge my arguments. And when you incite violence against me, you face a Twitter ban. Each of those is an example of how accountability works. The heckler is free to speak, but must take responsibility for their behaviour.

Morrissey seems to share your blinkered view of free speech, imagining that it gives him the right to say whatever he wants, whenever he wants, to whoever he wants, with no come back. That is not a freedom - it's a description of Donald Trump's Twitter feed.

I am happy to engage with you if you want to respond to this post, but I would ask you to maintain a civil tone if you genuinely believe in free speech and deliberation.

Billy Bragg

BRAGG AND MORRISSEY FROM A TIME WHEN BRAGG DIDN'T CALL MORRISSEY A RACIST ON A REGULAR BASIS

And here is my reply, which is a different font because I wrote it in 'Notes' on my I phone whilst in bed this morning:

D) MY REPLY TO BRAGG

Billy, thank you for posting your comment, it is nice to be able to debate properly, so here is my response to you:

A) Twitter ban - Let me start by stating, I certainly felt no “shame” or “embarrassment” about about any of my tweets, but chose just the three most ridiculous ones of the fifteen you & the Twitter police forced me to remove, to emphasise the nonsense of your complaint. You say that you’ve not reported anyone to Twitter before, but I have, and when you report someone, Twitter ask that you to link to other offending tweets; they don't go looking for them, so for you to state that you only reported one of my tweets is a lie...not a good starting point for our debate! If you are offended by “jealous”, "boring" and “pathetic”, you truly are a snowflake....not that I like that word, I find it as childish as the word gammon, but these are the words of a modern Britain, split by Brexit....more about Brexit later.

B) Incitement to violence - The one tweet you say you were threatened by was simply a lyric from a Morrissey song (Speedway), and certainly had no violent intent to it whatsoever; I was merely asking that you stop saying all the stupid things you say about Morrissey - note I wrote about stopping your mouth, nothing else. If I had wanted to incite violence, I would have written something like, can someone please put this cunt in a ditch. I certainly wish you (nor anybody) harm, I just want to see your lies stop and see your harassment of Morrissey stop.

C) Name Calling - “I may have called Morrissey a racist, but I have never stooped to calling him a cunt” - O-M-G...as the kids would say! Are you for real? You think that being called a cunt is worse than being called a racist? Actually, to a certain extent you’re right - the word racist has now become meaningless, thanks in the main to the likes of YOU, who throw the word around like confetti. At least when you’re called a cunt, you know where you stand, but that aside, to accuse someone of being a racist, Billy, when they 100% are NOT, is one of the most hurtful things imaginable, and thanks to prominent figures like you, and the hateful Guardian newspaper, Morrissey is unfairly and untruthfully accused of racism on a daily basis. You should be able to relate to this; as you have had a fair share of anti-semitic accusations thrown at you...although maybe you don't like Jews, I really don't know and I really don't care - we are here to discuss Morrissey, not you.

D) Free speech - I won’t bother getting into a debate about this, we both understand it’s meaning.

E) Morrissey’s racist statements - NOTHING Morrissey has ever said is racist. Yes, some of his comments are inflammatory, but he’s been inflammatory from Day 1 - he wrote The Queen is Dead for fuck’s sake! But let’s take the infamous comment about the Chinese being a subspecies as an example. This comment was a throwaway remark aimed at those Chinese people who skin, kill and eat 14,000 dogs at a ‘festival’ every year. No one with an ounce of intelligence could interpret Morrissey’s remark to mean he hates every single Chinese person - that would be impossible and ridiculous. If it were the Scots who held a dog-killing festival, then Morrissey would have said, “You can’t help but feel the Scots are a subspecies”. Would we have taken him literally if he’d said that? No! It was a comment made in anger by a passionate lover of animals. You can give me ANY quote of Morrissey’s that you think is racist, and I will be able to counter it. Deep down, you KNOW that Morrissey isn’t racist, you KNOW.

F) Brexit - now we get to the crux of it all. Yes, Morrissey has always been controversial, and yes there were (false) accusations of him being racist in the past, but it is only since Morrissey came out in support of Brexit that masses of people (and fans) turned on him and started calling him racist.....and EVERY SINGLE PERSON who has turned on Morrissey, and has started accusing him of being racist, voted to REMAIN in the EU.  Because the left-wing press accused ‘Leavers’ of being racists, any prominent figure who supported Brexit became a target, and because Morrissey had ‘previous’ (even though it was unfounded), he became public enemy Number 1 to the likes of The G*ardian. It’s all so obvious what has happened, and would be laughable if it wasn’t so damaging and destructive. Ironically, Morrissey didn’t actually vote to leave the EU, he just stated that he thought it would be a good thing, and that it showed that the British people wouldn’t be TOLD what to do by the authorities. The likes of Jeremy Corbyn and The Green Party were historically always anti-EU; as it is such a controlling super power, but somehow that all seems to have been forgotten. Also forgotten is that it was David Cameron, Theresa May and the Tory Party who were leading the Remain campaign, and the people rebelled against them - this is what Morrissey loved about it, and I’m surprised that a socialist such as you, Billy, didn’t love this power shown by the people too.

G) There is no G.

Before I sign off, let me just touch on two more subjects: For Britain and Islam. Morrissey has come in for a lot of stick for supporting For Britain; and it is For Britain Moz supports, and not the disgusting Britain First which Kele Okereke and many others have wrongly accused M of supporting - BIG DIFFERENCE! For Britain have been labelled (by the media) as a 'Far-right' party; even though the person who formed the party, Anne-Marie Waters, is as left-wing as you could possibly get. Morrissey supports For Britain primarily because it is the only political party speaking out about the slaughtering of animals by slitting their throats without stunning them first - why wouldn't Morrissey support such a party? For Britain are also concerned about the ideology of Islam, which wants to end the western way of life, but for some reason, if you question this, you are labelled a racist. Shouldn't all of us in the West be concerned by such an ideology? You support Palestine; which practices the Islam ideology, but that ideology includes: not accepting gays, oppressing women, and the aforementioned slaughter of animals by slitting their throats without stunning them first, so I ask you, Billy, WHY do you support a country that practices such an ideology? Being opposed to the ideology of Islam does NOT mean someone is racist - Islam is not a race. Muslim people are, in the main, lovely, warm, peaceful people, but if Islamic leaders get their way, that could change.

Again, I thank you for getting in touch, and am sorry that it came about the way it did, but maybe this was meant to happen. Morrissey is no racist; you KNOW that, and I ask that you stop saying he is. How can someone who wrote the lyrics to The National Front Disco be far-right? It doesn't make sense. The lyrics to that particular song leave we, the listener, in no doubt that the sympathy lies with the devastated parents who have lost their boy (David) to the National Front - it is Morrissey's equivalent of Lennon & McCartney's, She's Leaving Home....which incidentally, your version of is genuinely one of my all time favourite songs - see, I can be nice.

Billy, Morrissey ISN'T a racist, and the word should be saved for those who genuinely are racists. I ask that you U turn, and actually come out in support of Morrissey - I would be so proud of you if you did. How about embracing The National Front Disco and recording it yourself? - I would buy it.

Thank you.

Rat

It would be lovely to think Billy take will take my points on board, but I won't hold my breath - it takes a big person to admit they've gotten something wrong, and I fear Billy may be too far down the rabbit hole.

E) MORRISSEY IN CONCERT IN IRVINE LAST NIGHT

Thankfully someone filmed the whole concert, so I spent a pleasant hour and a half this afternoon watching it all. Moz started with a snippet of Elvis, declaring, "I want you, I need you, I luff you", before launching into Suedehead, where he humorously toyed with a packet of Lays crisps during, "good lay, good lay". After the song, he cried, "let yourself be loved".

The highlight songs for me were: The More You Ignore Me, The Closer I Get, Hairdresser On Fire, I Wish You Lonely, Home Is A Question Mark, Why Don't You Find Out For Yourself, That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore, Back On The Chain Gang, If You Don't Like Me, Never Again Will I Be A Twin, Some Say I Got Devil and Jack The Ripper.

After singing Chain Gang, Moz told the audience that the song was written by one of his best friends - perhaps old Billy Bragg should speak to Chrissie about Moz, she'd put him right.

Before The Bullfighter Dies, M treated the crowd to some poetry, saying:
"Whenever I go to Spain
With my closest friend, Elaine
We make notes of the mortally slain".

I wrote on Friday how Moz had tipped me off that he was going to sing Panic in San Francisco, and that I had taken to Twitter to let people know it was coming. A tweeter called, PK (@einrebell) replied to my tweet with, "Can you ask him to do Speedway at next two shows... thanks". I replied that M doesn't do requests. Lat night in Irvine, just before single Never Again Will I Be A Twin, Moz suddenly turned to the audience and said, "No Speedway, no, never, never, never." A coincidence? I'll add it to our ever growing list.

Portland Jo, with the aid of PK, tried very hard to get Moz to take her blue rose last night, but to no avail. Will he ever take one again? We shall keep trying.

F) MORRISSEY & BANKSY

I'll keep this brief, as this blog entry os FAR too long....is anyone still reading it?

Anyway, in the previous two blog entries I wrote about the latest Banksy piece of artwork - the Morrissey Poster screwed-up into a angry ball - and mentioned how some saw this as Banksy having a pop at Moz, whilst others; including me, saw it as Banksy laughing at those who have turned on Morrissey. I was reminded yesterday about the time that Morrissey thanked Banksy live on stage for helping with the promotion of World Peace Is None Of Your Business....which tends to suggest they are friends.

*Goes off singing*  And when you slam down the hammer, can you see it in your heart? All of the rumours keeping me grounded, I never said, I never said, that they they were completely unfounded....

Morrissey's tour across the USA came to an end last night in San Diego, and wagons now roll on to Canada; with the first date being in Edmonton on Thursday. There is virtually NO footage yet on Youtube from last night, but that's probably because it's still Monday morning in SD, so nobody has had the chance to upload any. However, despite there being no footage, we do know that both Irish Blood, English Heart and Speedway were added to the set, and it must have been a good concert because Moz has taken to Morrissey Central today to state that it was, "Without doubt, the best show of this tour".

MORRISSEY IN SAN DIEGO 2019 - PHOTO @UURSUUS

I believe that both Irish Blood and Speedway were added to last night's set in response to my blog entry of yesterday - with both songs being for the benefit of, Billy Bragg. Irish Blood is a reminder to Billy that Morrissey is the son of immigrants and Speedway....well, I'll come on to Speedway in my open reply to Billy Bragg's latest letter to me, which I received earlier today.

THE SELL OUT CROWD IN SAN DIEGO LAST NIGHT.... AND AS USUAL, FULL OF BLACKS, WHITES, ASIANS, LATINOS, ARABS ETC ETC ETC

And so to Billy Bragg's second letter. Following-on from the publication of my blog entry of yesterday; in which I answered Billy Bragg's first letter to me, Billy has contacted me again via the comments section of yesterday's blog. Here is Billy's latest letter, followed by my reply:

Thanks for getting back to me.

I can assure you that I am not offended by being called jealous or boring or pathetic. It was the tweet you sent which contained incitement to violence and that tweet alone that I reported to Twitter. I again note that you failed to give your readers any details of the offending tweet when seeking to portray me as a snowflake. I could ask why but I doubt you’d have the grace to answer.

You claim to understand the right free speech, yet you do not appear prepared to extend that right to critics of Morrissey: you clearly state that your intention in attacking me is to prevent me from expressing my opinion. I have made clear I respect Morrissey’s right to free speech – I am simply holding him to account for what he says.

I also note that you avoided any engagement with my arguments about the importance of accountability – for artists and hecklers alike. Does Morrissey alone have permission to act with impunity and the rest of us must fall into line?

You rightly observe that no one likes to be called a racist. As you state, I was involved in a dispute last year that led to accusations of anti-Semitism. I immediately withdrew the remarks and apologised for the offense caused. Twitter is a forum in which perception trumps intention and, although my intention had not been to offend, some perceived my words to be inflammatory. When accused of anti-Semitism, I did everything I could to rectify the situation.

Morrissey has also been a victim of this tendency. Comments he has made have caused offence. However, he has never, to my knowledge, apologised nor taken steps to distance himself from such opinions. Quite the opposite. His wearing of the For Britain pin on tv represented a doubling down against his critics.

This is the prima facie evidence that Morrissey is a racist: he makes inflammatory statements and when challenged, doubles down. The only conclusion that can be drawn from such behaviour is that he is happy for people to think he holds the opinions for which he is being chastised.

And while we’re on the subject of For Britain, you argue that Morrissey’s support for the party is based on their opposition to the slaughter of animals without stunning them first. The Animal Welfare Party, which stood in the recent EU parliamentary elections, also has that policy. Morrissey’s endorsement would have been a massive PR coup for the party. His failure to support them suggests that it is not the rights of animals that drew Morrissey to For Britain, but rather the virulent Islamophobia that drives their politics.

For the record, I do not endorse any form of Islamism. Furthermore, your use of the trope that ‘Islam is not a race’ is no different from seeking to excuse anti-Semitism by claiming that Judaism is a religion, not a race and so should be avoided.

Regards

Billy

My reply is written in a different font as I wrote it in 'Notes' on my I-phone whilst in the bath earlier this evening:

Billy, I appreciate you replying, but I'm not sure you took on board many of my points; or perhaps I just didn't express myself very clearly. I'll try harder with these replies to your latest letter:

A) Twitter Ban - You again state that you only reported one of my tweets, but as I previously stated, this is NOT true, you reported FIFTEEN of my tweets - Twitter do not go looking for evidence when someone makes a complaint; the complainant has to supply the evidence, and the vast majority of the fifteen 'offensive' tweets you provided to them WERE pure snowflakery. Anyway, it is a trivial matter, so I will move on, and instead turn to the tweet that you state is the only one that really offended you; which you also state I gave no details of. I’m not quite sure how you missed me mentioning that particular tweet, as I went into great detail about how it was simply a quote from the Morrissey song, Speedway, and I then gave further detail of how there was certainly no intent to incite violence, but merely to stop your mouth from spouting nonsense about Morrissey - I am a pacifist, Billy. I included the wording of the tweet; in full, within the blog entry - it was in your letter to me....hardly failing to give any details of it. Anyway, this is all nothingness, so let's move past it and onto the more important stuff.

B) Free speech - as stated previously, I already know that both you and I have a full understanding of what freedom of speech means, which is why I didn’t bother taking the subject further. I totally agree with all you state in your second paragraph - you have every right to state your opinion. My "attacking" of you for you expressing your opinion about Morrissey is nothing other than:
i) My frustration at KNOWING your (publicly expressed) opinion that Morrissey is a racist is wrong and
ii) My frustration at believing that you don’t really believe Morrissey to be racist....more about that later.

C) Accusations - As you state, last year you were wrongly accused of anti-semitism. Despite the accusations made against you being untrue, you chose to withdraw the comments which others reported to be offended by, even though you KNEW you weren't a racist. Likewise, when Danny Baker innocently posted a photograph on Twitter of a chimp with a posh couple, he removed it when someone stated he was being racist, even though he KNEW he wasn't a racist. Similarly, when Bernardo Silva posted a picture on Twitter of a cartoon character; which he thought resembled his best friend, Benjamin Mendy (who is black), he removed it when others (not his best mate mind) took offence to it. Bernardo KNOWS he isn't racist.
So, you KNOW you aren’t racist, Baker KNOWS he isn’t racist, and Silva KNOWS that he isn’t racist, but all three of you removed your tweets and apologised. Another option would have been to double-down, and state that you weren’t having any of the nonsense, and that others were trying to put something there which isn’t there. When Morrissey is accused, he takes the second option, after all,  apologising and retracting is often interpreted as guilt. Either way you lose - that is the society we now live in, and if someone makes an accusation, whether it’s true or not, it sticks. Does the fact that: you, Danny and Bernardo removed your tweets and apologised for any offence caused mean that people believe you? No, it doesn’t, so if Morrissey apologised for others taking offence, would it help? No! And yet according to you, this doubling-down PROVES that Morrissey is racist....it certainly doesn’t, and I find this reasoning ludicrous.

D) For Britain - let’s put aside the animal welfare for now, and concentrate on Islam. You state that you yourself do not endorse Islam, but by ignoring it is no different to people ignoring the Nazis. The Islamic ideology is getting dangerous, look what the likes of Imran Khan are up to. We can’t ignore it, but at the same time we have to make sure that people understand the difference between those who want to have the whole world run under Sharia law, and those beautiful, good, innocent, peaceful Muslim people who are innocently just following a God. For Britain are only interested in highlighting the bad guys, but because the press and prominent people like you have decided they are Far-right, all the good work they do in highlighting the danger of the Islam ideology is missed. It also doesn’t help For Britain when the meat-Head racists think they’ve found a party that represents them - they are quickly shown the door, it is the racist Britain First where they should go...or not, as the case may be.

Morrissey continues to wear the For Britain pin because he can see that they are NOT a racist party, and are NOT a right-wing party - they are very much a left-wing party fighting against the far-right rise of the Islam ideology. If we ignore Imran Khan and all these other Islamic leaders, we’ll have another Hitler, make no mistake - they hate the western way of life.

Well, I think that’s covered everything. Are we getting anywhere? I repeat that I KNOW Morrissey isn’t a racist, and I truly believe that you don’t think he is either. The only difference between Morrissey and you is how you have chosen to respond to your accusers - you apologise and Morrisey stays quiet. You both lose!

I again ask that you stop with your accusations, and show support for a man you have so much in common with.

Kind regards

Rat

Ps Coincidentally, following the publishing of my blog entry yesterday, Morrissey added the song Speedway to his set in San Diego last night, and in the middle of the song added these lines from Phil Ochs’ Days of Decision:

“There's a change in the wind, and a split in the road,
You can do what's right or you can do what you are told,
And the prize of the victory will belong to the bold,
Yes, these are the days of decision”.

It’s almost as though old Mozzer reads this little old blog of mine. It’s a day of decision for you, Billy, are you with Moz or not? Be bold.

In other news, the two David Johansen (as Buster Poindexter) concerts scheduled for tomorrow and Wednesday in New York are no longer listed. I haven't heard any report of Johansen being in intensive care, other than when Morrissey mentioned it in Denver. Thoughts and best wishes and all that.

*Comes in singing* Hand in glove, the sun shines out of our behinds, no, it's not like any other love, this one's different, because it's us

It's another busy FTM today, with the topics being:

A) MORRISSEY SENDS A MESSAGE TO THE WORLD

B) OUR MOZZER AND A POSSIBLE MISSED 'COINCIDENCE'

C) BILLY BRAGG BORES AGAIN

D) A BREXIT UPDATE

E) THE 'MORRISSEY LOVE IN THE USA (WEEK 5)' CHART

*Stops for another quick sing* And if the people stare, then let the people stare, Oh, I really don't know and I really don't care

A) MORRISSEY SENDS A MESSAGE TO THE WORLD

In the early hours of yesterday morning, a message was posted on Morrissey Central with the title, SAN DIEGO AUDIENCE FOR MORRISSEY. A photo of the audience was included, along with the message, "...no 'politically offended protestors' (as paid for and planted in the crowd by the British press) in sight..."

THE MORRISSEY CROWD IN SAN DIEGO ON SUNDAY NIGHT....PROTESTOR FREE

The message was very clearly aimed at whichever of The G*ardian or (Non)Independent planted the protestor at the recent concert in Portland..... and for anyone doubting if the woman waving an 'Anti-For Britain" placard was a plant, ask yourself WHY would someone in Portland be protesting against a British political party? It makes no sense. What do the Americans know or care of For Britain?

The press immediately started reporting on Morrissey's message, with The (Non)Independent leading the way; which would tend to suggest that it was they who paid for the plant. As usual the report calls For Britain a 'Far-right' party, thus giving NO independence to the piece WHATSOEVER. However, to make the story make sense, the Independent (and all the others) have had to place a link to the Morrissey Central message, so what their readers then get to see is a photograph of a  HUGE, sold-out crowd in San Diego. Old Moz has played the press at their own game. Genius.

B) OUR MOZZER AND A POSSIBLE MISSED 'COINCIDENCE'

There has been no further sign of Our Mozzer in The Wrong Arms since last Friday, although he's obviously been around, because he has changed his Twitter profile picture:

Although OM hasn't posted anymore tweets, I noticed that he had 'liked' a tweet on September 25th. It was a tweet posted by someone called Mr B (@organicarian), who had tweeted a photo of a bowl of Hula Hoops & Wotsits using the hashtag 'Wotsits'.

Coincidentally, in Irvine on Saturday night Morrissey used a packet of Lays crisps as a 'prop' during the song Suedehead. It probably is a genuine coincidence, but it did make me smile.

I must add, that I absolutely LOVE Wotsits - they're one of the reasons I could never go vegan....Yes, I am that weak and shallow. Perhaps OM was having a craving, he wouldn't be the first vegan to crave Wotsits.

This morning, the liked tweet has been 'unliked' - if it was a craving, it must have subsided. Maybe it wasn't OM who had 'liked' the tweet in the first place, perhaps GOB's son hacked the account....he's got previous you know!

C) BILLY BRAGG BORES AGAIN

Following on from: me writing about Billy Bragg on Day 2940, Bragg replying to me (see Day 2943) and then further interaction between us on Monday (Day 2944), Bragg posted another comment on Monday's blog entry last night. Unfortunately Billy's 'decision' has been to double-down, and continue to attack Morrissey. I have broken down this latest comment of his into topics, with me responding to each in turn:

i) TWITTER BAN - Bragg writes: My point about your reluctance to reveal why you were banned from Twitter was a reference to your initial post of 4th October. You implied that I had held you to account for the mildest of criticisms. I find that fact very telling. Why didn't you admit from the start that you were banned for inciting violence? Your reluctance betrays you.

As I have already stated in my two previous replies to Bragg, I was NOT banned from Twitter for posting one solitary tweet as he keeps trying to insist, I was banned because he supplied them with FIFTEEN tweets that I had posted to him over a six month period. And Twitter did NOT ban me for "inciting violence", they banned me for 'Hateful Conduct' on the grounds of 'harassment'; which is quite laughable bearing in mind that the wording of their policy states that the harassment must be on the grounds of: race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or serious disease - NONE of my tweets to Billy were on these grounds. On Day 2940 I posted a number of images of tweets that had gotten me banned, including the one below; which is NOT inciting violence, it calls Billy "tediously boring" and "jealous". Twitter can ban you for whatever reason they like - no grounds needed. They are a joke, and Bragg is a liar.

ii) FREE SPEECH - Bragg writes: I note that in your profession of support for free speech, you fail to respect my right to criticise Morrissey, once again demanding that I stop. That's not how free speech works, I'm afraid.

Oh, the hypocrisy! Bragg states that asking someone to stop is not how free speech works, and yet he has had me banned from Twitter for tweeting that he is "boring" and "jealous". You couldn't make this up. What is more, the other day Bragg tweeted that if someone protested at one of his gigs, he would "throw them out just like Morrissey did". Bragg only agrees with free speech if you are on his side.
My actual point about free speech has been completely missed by Bragg. I didn't demand that he stop because I want to stop free speech, I demanded he stop with the things he says about Morrissey because he is LYING about Morrissey being a racist. There is a HUGE difference.

LIAR LIARLIAR

iii) CAUSING OFFENCE - Bragg writes: With regard to unintentionally causing offence, one does not 'lose' by apologising. Rather, it allows you - and the public - to move on and gives you grounds to defend yourself if such accusations continue. Morrissey's refusal to apologise or clarify his racist remarks leaves him open to constant criticism, as we have seen over the past few years.

Billy just does not understand the point I was trying to make about 'people/them/they' taking offence. Apologising gives you no more grounds to defend yourself as not apologising, and as I stated previously, can be seen as an admission of guilt. Morrissey doesn't apologise for his statements because he has nothing to apologise for - it isn't his fault if others interpret his words the wrong way, whatever the subject.

NOTHING TO APOLOGISE FOR

iv) FOR BRITAIN - Billy writes: Let's not put aside animal welfare - it's Morrissey's only fig leaf in his support for the far-right party For Britain. Without it, one would be forced to conclude that he's nothing but an Islamphobe. Why was Morrissey unwilling to support the Animal Welfare Party?

This is yet another topic that Billy just doesn't want to even start to try and understand - it doesn't fit his agenda. I went into great detail in my previous reply to Billy to point out why those peddling the full Islamic ideology need to be monitored, but Billy makes no reference to it here, instead deciding that anyone who dares question Islam is an "Islamphobe". Ironically, Billy stated in his previous correspondence with me that he does not endorse any form of Islamism", which if he were to state in the national press, would no doubt lead to some 'people/them/they' interpreting that Billy is Islamophobic....and he would then apologise and retract it, because that's how he chooses to handle such things.

v) TAKING RESPONSIBILITY - Billy writes: And on the matter that goes to the heart of my criticisms of Morrissey - accountability - you once again have nothing to say. Me, you, Morrissey and the hecklers are all free to express our views, but we must all take responsibility for the things we say and do.
Morrissey refuses to do this and, as a result, his status as a pariah continues to grow.

Here we have another portion of hypocrisy a la Bragg. Bragg is NOT taking responsibility for the lies he keeps peddling about Morrissey, he just keeps doubling-down. He is so far down the rabbit hole that he cannot see a way out, so he keeps digging. There is no point me trying to educate or debate with Billy anymore, he doesn't want to see the truth. Billy KNOWS Morrissey isn't a racist, but talking endlessly about Morrissey keeps Bragg in the public eye - his own relevance faded away many years ago.

Because of Bragg's continued lies about Morrissey, I have decided to treat him in the way that he treats others - I have banned him from posting here, and any comments he attempts to post will be deleted. He posted twice more earlier today, but I deleted them. Ironically, after I had deleted his first comment, he posted another which read, "So this is how you deal with criticism, by banning the voice of dissent?" I wonder if he actually can't see his hypocrisy, but I shall spell it out for him again....HE HAD ME BANNED FROM TWITTER AND HE READILY ADMITS HE WOULD BAN PROTESTORS FROM HIS GIGS. And again I repeat, he isn't banned for criticising, he is banned for lying about Morrissey.

Bragg is a sheep, a liar, a hyprocrite and remains, a Grade A cunt. His apology and desperate backtracking about his alleged anti-semitism leave his innocence of that in doubt too.

On the subject of blog comments, it was great to see so many people post their views on Bragg on Monday's FTM blog entry. It would appear that everyone can see him for what he is.

D) A BREXIT UPDATE

I haven't written about Brexit for a while, so here is my latest take. As both Morrissey and I have said from Day 1, the 'Powers that be' will NOT ALLOW Brexit to happen, and all the huffing and puffing we have seen over the past three years is just a game. In 2016 the Tory party campaigned AGAINST leaving the EU, but the people ended up using the referendum as a protest vote, and it all went very wrong for Cameron and Co. Theresa May was installed as a stalking horse to drag things out and wear down the British public, before Boris Johnson was crowned as the pretend Man of the People. His role has has been to fool the public into believing that the Tories want to take Britain out of the EU after all, and that they will do so by the end of October, but they have NO intention of this - they never have.

What will happen in the next few days is that Johnson will ask for a further extension to Brexit; blaming the extension on Parliament, and a General Election will then be called. We will end up with a hung Parliament and the Tories will form a coalition Government with the Lib Dems; with the proviso being that we have a 2nd referendum, which is "final and definitive". The Tories will NOT campaign to Leave, and instead will "leave the British people to make up their own minds". The people are so worn down, that the 2nd referendum will result in us remaining in the EU....and even if the numbers didn't actually add up, we would STILL remain in the EU - they will make sure of that.
Remember you read it here first.

E) THE 'MORRISSEY LOVE IN THE USA (WEEK 5)' CHART

The three concerts in Irvine, San Francisco and San Diego were three of the best on the tour. Here is the chart, which was presented in The Wrong Arms at 4.15pm UK time to an audience of five: Mozza Kev, Liliana, Angie, Scandinavian Wolf and Pamela Anderson. I'll be honest, I don't think Pammy was there for the chart, but the BRS Twitter account that I used for the chart countdown IS still followed by Pamela.....she KNOWS.

*Goes off singing* You must be wondering how the boy next door turned out, have a care, but don't stare, because he's still there...this world is full, so full, so full, so full of crashing bores...

Today is the seventh anniversary of the first time Morrissey accepted a blue rose on stage.
Morrissey has since gone on to accept blue roses in: 2013, 14, 15 and 16, but hasn't taken one since September 2016.

Despite having not accepted a blue rose for three years,  Morrissey remains the Chairman of the BRS, and in a private tweet sent to me yesterday, has reinforced that he is still behind the cause.

MORRISSEY WEARING A BLUE ROSE IN SANTA ANA 2014

The aforementioned private tweet was sent to me because I had sent Our Mozzer a photograph of the BRS pub sign that 'Iron Bridge Sam' had designed, and asked OM what he thought of it. Here is OM's reply:

"The obvious dedication to the cause pleases me however I am left to ponder when Boz's mother had time to pose for such a photo and without a drink in her hand."

I replied, "Boz has a mother?!?!" and got the humorous response:

"Not now although he is suckling at my teet a bit too much".

MOTHER MOZ AND TEET SUCKER BOZ

And just as we celebrate the seventh anniversary of Morrissey's Blue Rose Society, one of the few to have had a blue rose accepted by Moz, Jaz, has decided to turn on me and other members of the BRS - she isn't the first, and no doubt won't be the last.

Jaz had certainly become more distant in recent times, and has made a number of digs towards me on Twitter and in the comments section of FTM, but yesterday she wrote on FTM: "Fuck it, none of you are actually interested in Morrissey anymore, why do I bother with you rat ass kissing sycophants." I have no idea what brought this outburst on, but Jaz is now banned from leaving comment on FTM. Another one bites the dust.

And as one person leaves, another comes back....no, it's not Still I Cling, Rosy Mires, Chuck, Marcus, Merryanne or GOB, it's.....Contradictory....Ricky Dan - who is back as @DanNotNormal. I have no idea if it really is Ricky Gervais behind this account, but I very much  like the role he plays.

In other news, following on from the announcement last week that BMG had decided not to release It's Over as a single, it was announced yesterday on Morrissey Central that It's Over will now be released after all - one can only guess that the people at BMG saw the size of those crowds on the USA tour, and realised that Morrissey is one of the last big acts.

SLEEVE DESIGN BY 'IRON BRIDGE SAM' - NOT THE ACTUAL SLEEVE

Tonight sees Morrissey play in Edmonton, in the first of a number of concerts in Canada. I don't imagine that there will be anyone there offering Moz a blue rose, but the BRS lives on.

Morrissey released a statement on his Morrissey Central website yesterday titled, The Guardian Of Hate. In the statement, Morrissey explains that we are forced to tolerate the views of The G*ardian, and apologises for not being able to retaliate. He adds that the person described by The G*ardian is not him, and that the stance they attribute to him is not his. The statement goes on, "I did not believe - until now - that UK law permits public actions in public spaces that call for a British citizen to be killed, or even discriminated against." I'm not sure what the killing reference relates to - has someone issued a fatwa on Morrissey? According to reports from a number of Morrissey fans, security has been stepped-up at concerts in the past week, so it would seem that something has happened.

To the likes of the writers at The G*ardian and Billy Bragg, lying about Morrissey being a racist is just a bit of sport, but what they are actually doing is inciting violence.

THE QUEUE AT MORRISSEY'S CONCERT IN EDMONTON, CANADA LAST NIGHT

Morrissey also states on Moz Central, "It is true that I don not support the Monster Raving Labour Party, and nor could I possibly ever approve of Halal (being of sound mind), but if the definition of a racist or fascist is someone who will not allow others to have an opinion, then The Guardian Of Hate are exactly whom they claim to disapprove of." Morrissey could so easily be describing Billy Bragg, but as he is nothing other than a brainwashed reader of The G*ardian, it is hardly surprising that these words fit him.

BROTHERS IN ARMS - THE MONSTER RAVING LABOUR PARTY

Morrissey signs off his latest MC message by declaring, "If The Guardian Of Hate decide that you are their quarry, I wish you more media support than I have so far received."
It is very true that NO publication has come to Morrissey's defence, which if nothing else, shows that the right-wing press don't like Morrissey either; and why would they when he has spent a lifetime speaking out against the right! The left-wing press label Morrissey far-right, and the right-wing press label Morrissey as a left winger. The truth, of course, is that Morrissey has no wings - he never has!

MORRISSEY - WINGLESS

I can't work out why Morrissey chose to make the statement about The G*ardian now particularly.  For once, The G*ardian haven't actually written anything about him this week, which in itself is rather surprising as one would have thought they'd have been all over Morrissey's recent statement about the protestor in Portland being a plant paid for by the British press - as I reported on Wednesday, the other extreme-left British newspaper, the (Non)Independent, was onto it in a flash. Perhaps The G*ardian chose not to write about that particular statement of Morrissey's because the protestor was their paid-for plant, and they didn't want it coming out. Who knows? Perhaps this latest statement by Morrissey is actually aimed at The G*ardian's attacking article of last week, and old Mozzer has just been too busy with the tour to have responded before now. Who knows? Or maybe, Morrissey's statement is actually aimed in part as a response to Billy Bragg and the comments he made on this blog of mine. Who knows?

As for last night's concert, I don't really have anything to report. The set list didn't include any songs that haven't featured thus far on the tour, but both Irish Blood and Speedway were played. There is nothing on Youtube whatsoever. Nothing! Perhaps Canadians take it literally when they read those signs that are in every concert hall telling you it is illegal to film. Maybe you get locked up for doing so. Who knows?

MORRISSEY IN EDMONTON SPORTING A SHIRT GIVEN TO HIM BY FAN, 'SOUTH KIRK'....REMEMBER HIM? HE WAS THE ONE WHO COULD NEVER MAKE HIS MIND UP IF HE BELIEVED MORRISSEYSWORLD TO BE THE WORK OF MORRISSEY OR NOT. I BET HE STILL HASN'T DECIDED.

The next concert is scheduled for Monday in Vancouver - let's hope someone is daring enough to film a song or two.

Last night Morrissey played his fourth concert of the week in Canada, and there are two more to be played next week.

Youtube footage of all four concerts has been pretty sparse, but I have managed to cobble a chart together, which can be found at the foot of this blog entry. A number of the songs played over the four concerts appear to have been 'nods' to the irregular regulars, but more about that later.

MORRISSEY IN EDMONTON LAST THURSDAY - PHOTO @POPPYOCONELL1962

There has been no sign of Our Mozzer in The Wrong Arms this week, although I have no doubt that he pops his head around the door occasionally just to see what us peasants are up to, and he must have had one of those 'pops' on Saturday, because on Sunday, the 'Morrissey Central' website posted a message from Morrissey thanking the Friday night crowd in Calgary, and accompanying the message was a photoshopped picture of Lou Reed, which had been posted on Twitter on Saturday by Erica Calil and retweeted by me...... HOW would Morrissey have seen this? HOW? - the Official Morrissey Twitter account follows NOBODY!

The ONLY explanation is that it was Our Mozzer who saw the tweet, but bizarrely, NO Morrissey fans on Twitter or on Solo are questioning how Morrissey managed to come across the picture. Curiosity is dead....but at least the cat survives!

LOU REED - PHOTOSHOPPED AND TWEETED BY ERICA CALIL AND LATER POSTED ON MORRISSEY CENTRAL

The only two people that Our Mozzer currently follows on Twitter are myself and Dan NotNormal (@DanNotNormal), and it was Dan who drew my attention to a possible 'coincidence' at the concert in Calgary on Friday. A clip on Youtube shows Morrissey missing the cue for I Wish You Lonely, and so M stops the song and goes on to give an impromptu speech to the audience about a variety of subjects, including the television programme, The Price is Right, but instead of calling it by its correct title, Morrissey humorously refers to it as, The Prize is Slight. Dan tweeted me to suggest that the use of the word 'slight' was a reference to the old Morrissey Twitter account, @slightdawnmist. As coincidences go, it's a fairly soft one, but a song played in Vancouver last night may suggest otherwise. More about that later.

The official Morrissey Twitter account very rarely posts any tweets, and when it does, it is usually just to give information, so it was quite strange to see a tweet posted on the account on Monday, of a picture of Morrissey holding that packet of Lays crisps from the concert in Irvine on Oct 5th. It immediately made me think of the parody piece that first appeared on the MorrisseysWorld blog in February 2012 titled The Day Morrissey Met Freeyourself in Chile....which I republished on FTM earlier this year. In the parody, we have Michael 'Mikey' Bracewell saying to Morrissey, "I checked the small-print Morrissey. They said all you have to do is tweet a link to the Nestle Caramac homepage and post a picture of a Caramac on your blog and they'll send a box of fifty-five Caramacs over to Chile for you." I wonder if a similar deal has been struck with Lays?

And so to songs played at the Canadian concerts that may have been nods to us irregular regulars:

1. WORLD PEACE IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS. On Friday, following a multiple stabbing incident in Manchester, I tweeted, "World Peace is NONE of Your Business" and posted a link to the song on Youtube. On Monday, at Morrissey's concert in Vancouver, added to the set for the first time in quite a while was....World Peace is None of Your Business - no doubt, just a coincidence.

2. JACKY'S ONLY HAPPY WHEN SHE'S UP ON THE STAGE. At 1pm on Monday (Vancouver time), the BRS curious tweeter, Southkirk Kirky (@itjuststruckme) tweeted the Morrissey song, Jacky's Only Happy, and copied-in the Moz Army leader, Julie Hamill (@JulieHamill). Nine hours later, Morrissey sang the song on stage for the first time on this tour. It was an obvious nod to both Kirky's tweet and to Julie, whose new book, Jackie was released this week. I'm not too sure why I am giving a free plug to Julie Hamill, who blocked me on Twitter many moons ago, but maybe it's because I'm just a kind old rat at heart.

3. DIAL-A-CLICHÉ. On Sunday, one of the Wrong Arms regulars, Seán Ó Donnghaile (@SeanODonnghai) tweeted about the old GPO service, Dial-a-disc. I replied to Seán, stating that his tweet had reminded me about the time I wrote about Dial-a-disc on FTM in March 2017..... which incidentally was a blog entry that told of Morrissey (as Dawn) playing Back on the chain Gang on The Wrong Arms jukebox some SIX MONTHS before Morrissey ever played the song himself.
On Monday in Vancouver, Morrissey sung Dial-a-cliché.

4. YOU'LL BE GONE. Following on from Dan Abnormal tweeting me about the possible nod to Dawn at the concert on Friday, last night Morrissey opened the concert in Vancouver with You'll Be Gone, which due to the lyrical content, has always been seen as 'Dawn's song'.....or perhaps, the Dawn Chorus. Could we be about to see the return of Dawn Mist on Twitter?

For the record, when you click on the @slightdawnmist account, it states that the account is suspended! What did Dawn do? Probably tweeted to tell Billy Bragg he's a bag of wind - old Bully Bragg has had people arrested by the Twitter Police for far less.

And so to the chart. Due to the lack of Youtube footage, I have included some songs without footage, and in the case of I Won't Share You, which was played last night in Vancouver, it's a snippet from Instagram. Is It Really So Strange was brought back into the set in Vancouver, so that makes it into the chart, but the a cappella snippet of Petula Clark's Downtown at the very start of the Monday night's concert doesn't make it due to a lack of footage.

The Top 10 was counted down today in The Wrong Arms at 4.45pm UK time to an audience of three. At the suggestion of one of those three, Mike Thomas (@mikejt67), I used Pans People gifs for the songs with no videos. Babs dancing to World Peace is None of Your Business would have been pure TOTP gold.

Monday October 21st 2019 - Day 2958 It's the same old S.O.S

It's the same old S.O.S, but with brand new broken fortunes. And once again I turn to.... Morrissey -  Life is a Pigsty can be very therapeutic.

The past few days have been difficult for me, but not nearly as difficult or as desperate as they have been for others close to me, so I won't make a situation that is not about me, about me.

Although death brings pain, for those not too close to it; such as me in this case, it can bring reflection and enlightenment. No, I haven't found God, and never could, but these past few days have served to once again remind me that life is short; ridiculously short for some, and death is forever, so all the nonsense we come across in our short time on earth should just be ignored - it is just noise.

However, despite reminding myself that the nonsense should be ignored, I still find that I CANNOT ignore it, and in fact get pleasure from some of it, for example, I seem to enjoy calling-out those who are complete and utter morons, and on that subject....

Brexit has turned virtually every Britain into a moron. There are the morons who voted for Brexit and then claimed that they were 'winners' and that those who voted to remain in the EU were 'losers' - WHAT exactly did they win? There are the morons who voted to remain in the European Union without being able to see that the EU is an undemocratic elitist organisation. There are the morons who voted to remain in the EU who believe that anyone who voted to leave is a racist. There are the Brexit supporting morons who believe that Boris Johnson is a pro-Brexit 'man of the people' who is desperately trying to deliver Brexit and there are the EU supporting morons who believe that Johnson is a pro-Brexit 'cunt' desperately trying to deliver Brexit.

What NONE of the aforementioned morons seem to remember is that Boris Johnson is NOT a Brexiteer at all, he is very much PRO-EU, and he is NOT desperately trying to deliver Brexit at all, he is trying to derail it. In February 2016 Johnson wrote a piece for a newspaper column in which he stated, "Britain's continued membership of the EU would be a boon for the world and for Europe", adding, "This is a market on our doorstep ready for further exploitation by British firms. The membership fee seems rather small for all that access. Why are we so determined to turn our back on it?" Johnson's article never got published - he pulled it at the last minute when he decided to head-up the 'Leave Campaign', which he saw as an excellent opportunity to pit himself against David Cameron and show his party that he had leadership credentials.

BORIS JOHNSON - PRO-EU

Not for one minute did Johnson expect, or want, for his campaign to win, but neither he nor the Tory Party accounted for millions of disenchanted Britains using the EU election as a form of protest - those on the poverty line with NOTHING didn't give a toss if they were ruled by elitists in Westmonster or elitists in Brussels, they just wanted life to stop being so shit. As Morrissey quite rightly observed, the show of 'People Power' was, "magnificent", but the left-wing luvvie morons; who like to think they stand with the 'people' but actually DON'T, completely and utterly failed to realise what had happened - more on that later.

Boris Johnson is PRO-EU and the Conservative party are PRO-EU. For the past three and a half years, since losing the EU referendum by mistake, the Tories have been doing everything that they can to make sure that Britain DOESN'T leave the EU, but they have had to do it without anyone realising what they are doing, whilst at the same time exonerating themselves of ALL blame.... and so far their plan is working VERY WELL indeed. The Conservatives have somehow managed to hoodwink the whole of the British public into believing they want to leave the EU.

Twelve days ago I wrote on FTM that Boris Johnson would ask the EU for a further extension to Brexit; this despite Johnson stating that he would rather be, "dead in a ditch". On Saturday, Johnson wrote to the EU asking for an extension!

The Brexit supporting morons are blaming Parliament and NOT their hero, Johnson for him having to request the extension; after all, how could it possibly be Boris's fault, he's their hardcore Brexit leader who would rather be dead in a ditch than write that letter.........but write the letter he DID.

Johnson has taken a step closer to keeping Britain in the EU without it being his fault - the morons are swallowing it all. A second referendum will eventually come, and as I wrote twelve days ago, Britain will end up staying in the EU, and yet miraculously, Johnson will still have all the Brexiteers on his side - they'll genuinely believe that he did his best for them, but was thwarted by the enemy. In my piece on October 9th, I wrote that a General Election would come and then a second referendum, but if Johnson can get the referendum (and the glorious defeat he seeks) before an election, he will have a better chance of winning the election outright; as not only will the Brexiteers all vote for their hero (who tried his hardest), but he'll also get back the Tory voters who only defected to the Lib Dems because of the Lib Dems anti-Brexit stance - the whole thing is a master plan.

One of the left-wing luvvie morons who failed to see that voting for Brexit was a protest by desperate working class people, is Billy Bragg. He is also one of the morons who cannot see that Boris Johnson is deliberately trying to scupper Brexit, but as I have already written, he certainly isn't alone in that, with virtually EVERYBODY having been fooled on that count. Bragg claims to be a socialist, but he is nothing other than a plastic socialist. True socialists such as, Dennis Skinner votedFOR Brexit because true socialists can see that the EU is a highly flawed anti-democratic elitist body. True Greens such as Jenny Jonesalso voted for Brexit, because they too realise that the EU is too large to be truly democratic.

DENNIS SKINNER - A TRUE SOCIALIST

The reason I have chosen to mention Billy Bragg is two fold. First of all it is because Johnny Marr yesterday tweeted a thirty five year old photo of the two of them and wrote, ""Hey Billy, in 35 years the right wing will rise and there's gonna be a thing called Brexit... 3 Tory leaders...corruption...racism..."you are mad Johnny but I'll be there mate" @billybragg".

Aside from the schoolboy error of a lack of one lot of speech marks, the tweet from Marr is an obvious show of support for Bragg in his ongoing attack of Morrissey. Marr, like Bragg, sees Brexit as right-wing and racist, and therefore sees anyone who voted for Brexit as both of these, including Morrissey, and including all those left-wing, working class Labour voters from the North....many of whom are black. I'm not sure that the word moron actually cuts it.

The other reason that I have mentioned Bragg again; and I am truly tired about mentioning him, is because I cannot let pass yet ANOTHER example of his hypocrisy. Bragg recently reported me to the Twitter police for what he decided was 'inciting violence'; even though it was nothing of the sort, and yet two days ago when a tweeter called Ally Fogg (@AllyFogg) tweeted about Boris Johnson with, "Die in a ditch, fuckface", Bragg retweeted it. Words fail me.

This blog entry hasn't really been very Morrissey related, and I therefore apologise to anyone reading it who has found in dull - I'm sure the Yanks won't have appreciated it. I don't actually have any Morrissey news to report. There has been no sign of OM in The Wrong Arms and no word from the 'real' Morrissey ahead of his concert tonight in Winnipeg.

Before I sign off, I must make mention of Kristeen Young. Unbelievably it is now over five years since Kristeen and Morrissey parted company, but I still follow her on Twitter and still listen to her album The Knife Shift an awful lot, and check out her new stuff. On Friday I was listening to a new song of Kristeen's called, The Bold One, which includes these lyrics:

"I have seen you talk
I have read your squawk
You sing the brave popular song but
never say, "I could be wrong."

What a bold one
What a bold one

From one who is always right
and 50 years ahead of time
When the world's caught up
9 times I'll have been burned-up"

I immediately thought that the song was about Morrissey, so took to Twitter to ask Kristeen. She replied, "Not in the least. Not even a glance. Not even a vapor of a memory." Me thinks the lady doth protest too much!

Wednesday October 23rd 2019 - Day 2960 Emotional Air Raids Exhausted My Heart

I often write about the fact that Morrissey reads the tweets of many of his fans, and then 'coincidences' happen that can be related back to those tweets. Very few people believe that the 'coincidences' I write about are anything other than genuine coincidences, but there have now been so many of them on this journey of ours, that to keep on dismissing them as coincidences just doesn't make any sense.

I read a great article earlier today on IntuitionJournal.com titled, Synchronicity & The Hidden Meaning Of Coincidences. The article quotes the likes of Swiss psychologist, Carl Jung, and our old friend, Paulo Coelho . There is also a link to another insightful piece titled, Synchronicity: Clues From The Universe, which contains this quote from Deepak Chopra, "When you live your life with an appreciation of coincidences and their meanings, you connect with the underlying field of infinite possibilities. This is when the magic begins." Such magic began for me in 2011 when I discovered MorrisseysWorld. Interestingly, both the aforementioned articles advise that you should write coincidences down and form a list, which is exactly what I do within the pages of Following The Mozziah.

PAULO COELHO

The reason that I am particularly writing about 'coincidences' today is because a couple of songs have been sung on stage by Morrissey in the past couple of days that I am adding to the (extremely long) 'List of Coincidences' that have occurred on our MorrisseysWorld journey.

The first song is I've Changed My Plea To Guilty; which those who have been reading this blog of mine from the early days will know, is a song with very special meaning for BRS member, Jo aka EARS (Emotional Air Raids). Jo hasn't been part of our little 'Wrong Arms gang' for a little while now; having decided to take herself away for some peace and quiet, but I genuinely believe that Morrissey played the song for Jo in Winnipeg on Monday to let her know that she is still in his thoughts.

MORRISSEY SINGING I'VE CHANGED MY PLEA TO GUILTY IN WINNIPEG - BRENDAN BEHAN LOOKS ON

But I've Changed My Plea To Guilty wasn't just played for Jo, I believe that it was sung as a nod to a Morrissey fan that I haven't mentioned before, Rivkah Shifra.

Rivkah started a blog site in July of last year called Letters To Morrissey, with the idea being that fans can write an open letter to Moz, expressing how they feel about him. I personally have never submitted a letter; simply because Morrissey knows full well how I feel, but the blog is a great idea, and many people have submitted their letters. Rivkah turned a number of these letters into a book to celebrate Morrissey's 60th birthday, which she titled, Letters to the Found (Found Found).

Rivkah also runs a Twitter account (@LettersToMoz), and two tweets posted recently from this account have convinced me that I've Changed My Plea To Guilty was played as a nod to Rivkah. Firstly, last Thursday, Rivkah tweeted that she was after submissions for a new photo for the front cover of her book, specifying that it had to be a picture of somebody writing. The backdrop photo used by Morrissey as he sang I've Changed My Plea To Guilty was a photo of Brendan Behan typing, but that's not all. On Saturday, Rivkah retweeted a picture of lyrics from I've Changed My Plea To Guilty. Two coincidences for the price of one!

And it doesn't end there for Rivkah. At 7.11am (Saskatoon time) yesterday, Rivkah (@LettersToMoz) was in conversation with a couple of other Moz fans (@AlexxManchester and @einrebell) about Johnny Marr, and she tweeted, "Johnny was nervous about the naming of The Queen is Dead as he & his parents were fearful of insulting the monarchy. Proof The Smiths ONLY were revolutionary due to Morrissey!". Fourteen hours later, and completely out of the blue, Morrissey sang, The Queen Is Dead! Coincidence? Again? Really? Of course not.....but still no one will believe me, and if they don't believe me now, will they EVER believe me?

When I pointed out the The Queen Is Dead 'coincidence' to Rivkah earlier today, she replied, "Definitely gave me goosebumps when I saw a fan had shared it this morning on instagram!" Goosebumps indeed! Morrissey is watching.

I can't really report much on the concerts of the past two days as once again there is so little Youtube footage. Hopefully more will appear in the next couple of days and I will be able to cobble a chart together. Apart from I've Changed My Plea To Guilty and The Queen Is Dead, other songs of note that were played include: World Peace Is None of Your Business, You Have Killed Me, Judy Is A Punk and Yes I Am Blind. On Monday in Winnipeg, Morrissey wore a Bruce Lee t-shirt, on which he had written, 'Removed From Society'.

MORRISSEY IN WINNIPEG - 'REMOVED FROM SOCIETY' (PHOTO MERRY ANNE)

Also in Winnipeg, Morrissey comically stared at his maracas, which didn't half look like a pair of breasts....or is it just me?

The Canadian leg of the tour is now over, and on Saturday night Morrissey will be playing the Hollywood Bowl.
